What a GREAT book. I really enjoyed reading The Accident.

Here we find Dr. Garrick being called to the scene of an accident where there are two of his patients. One is dead and the other is in a coma. The strange thing is they should not be together. False accusations and the fact that the dead victim was dead before the accident leads to Dr. Garrick's arrest.

This book was provided to me by Netgalley in exchange for my honest opinion. The story is suspenseful and full of intrigue. The storyline is easy to follow and the characters are well-crafted.

The book was suspenseful and written well. The organization and telling of the story flowed well and held my attention throughout, especially in the last third of the book when the tension ramped up.
The reason I didn't rate it with 5 stars is mostly due to the lack of punctuation separating clauses as they should have been and a few typos in the text.

The Accident is book 4 in the Grant Garrick Series but it is written in such a way that it can be read as a standalone. I have read other books in the series, so I am acquainted with the characters, but I could have easily read this book and enjoyed it without having had read the other books first. Having said that, I did enjoy the first books and would definitely recommend that you read those as well.

In The Accident, Grant finds himself at the scene of a particularly gruesome accident scene. Having been called because he had a connection with one of the victims, a young man who is the son of a good friend, he is shocked to find that the other passenger is a patient of his. Her unfortunate death brings many questions to light, most of them seem to be aimed towards Grant. Accusations against him begin to pile up.Wild parties, drug abuse, online harassment, soon Grant is drawn into a web of secrecy and lies that threatens to take him hostage if he doesn’t find out just what happened that fateful night.

This is fantastic! You think you know who did it; then; you think someone else is guilty. However, I did figure the killer out, before it was hinted at. It was still a great read. I cannot wait until the next book! I am thrilled to find a new author!

I guess it’s just me, but I’m not a fan of this genre. A successful psychologist sees his life and practice go in the toilet as he battles to set things right. The story is realistic and well written, but I don’t agree with some of the main character’s responses to some of the events. Maybe it’s too realistic for me. It is big on detail and has colorful descriptions of dress and scenery. I read this book for free as part of an advance readers group for the author. The
