I requested this several years ago and I don't think it's a book for me anymore. So I will not be reviewing at this time, but if I do read it, I will update this review. Thank you for the opportunity.

This book wasn't for me at all. I DNF'ed it at 20%

I loved the characters and the storyline development of this book. It was absolutely one of my favorites so far and I can't wait to delve in to the next one that this author writes. The storyline was simple, enjoyable, and entertaining.

A perfectly imperfect book on romance. It was an enjoyable and page turning read, but I I felt that there were a lot of problematic issues character wise and were simply glossed over and forgiven.

I enjoyed this one. I was expecting it to be really angsty but it was just okay. I did enjoy the fact that the heroine didn't immediately forgive the hero and made him work for it.

Unfortunately this was a DNF. I'm okay with a certain amount of angst but when a book is too dramatic, I just find it difficult to fully enjoy. Ultimately I wasn't able to connect with the characters or the storyline.

This book is pure angst. It was too much for me. I kind of got stressed reading it to be honest! I didn't hate this story but I found it difficult to enjoy.

Even though the writing of this book is good, I just couldn't get past the relentless angst. It is cranked all the way up in the prologue and stays there. The characters personalities, thoughts, actions, all seems to be designed in function of feeding the flow of all the angst. The result is a book that I found a bit exhausting with characters that were hard to care about because they didn't ring true. The thing is, Natasha Anders can write. This isn't the case of an author not pushing enough, but the opposite: she's pushing too hard. With the fast pacing and the characters making catastrophic mistakes (which are hard to digest with the fast pacing), I couldn't get into it.

I love a good second chance romance and this one has a lot of great factors that made it a book that you will appreciate the further you get into it.

All is not well with the main characters. This book had me tied up a few times with the drama and the secrets. I ended up liking Harris way better than Tina. She took a while for me to warm up to.

The beginning of the book was a bit much to slog through but by the second half, all of the secrets and issues started to come to out. The connections grew. The ability to stay away from each other heated up the pages. The angst and drama was not far away.

While this book has some irritations for me, for the most part I was really sucked in and flipping those pages to get to the big revaluation. Harris was amazing in all ways. So strong and a perfect balance for Tina.

Unique locations, nicely developed characters, and plenty of hot, spicy scenes, More Than Anything is a romance story like few others. A bit long, but just sit and absorb it. The last half makes it worth it all.

It was okay, but sometimes i had a hard time liking Tina and how she acted, the same with Harris. Plus the side-characters slightly drove me insane. I really liked that they got their happy ending though.

I love a good book that rekindles lost love, and this is precisely that. I was irritated and amused by the crossing of signals, and no one listening to the other person. This kind of character interaction and development humanizes the characters and makes you think this is similar to real experiences. I love Natasha Anders's books and I would recommend more than anything to a friend.

A good read that held my interest. Felt sorry for Tina and all she experienced. Never really receiving encouragement from her family, she floundered from one job to another until realizing her potential.

After reading Anders “Unwanted” series, I was curious as to whether this would hold my interest. It did. This is an interesting read although it was predictable. That said, you did feel the angst that Tina experienced and the frustration that Harris felt while trying to undo the wrong he perpetrated 10 years earlier.

In addition to Tina and Harris’ love story, we are introduced to Libby, Greyson, and their daughter Clara.
While their story is left unresolved, happily it will be addressed in the sequel!

A quick perfect beach read.

I totally fell in love with More Than Anything, by Natasha Anders.

It's a great second chance, secret baby romance. Please be warned that there is a tragic death of the baby. Avoid if that's a trigger for you.

Tina and Harris have long known one another. She's long crushed on him, but thinks she's invisible to him. After a drunken hook-up, there's an incident that separates them for years. Now, brought back into one another's worlds, they have a whole lot of conversations, confessions, explanations, and forgiveness to do.

It's nothing unique, but I love it. It's riveting and I wanted these two together so damn bad.

Overall, More Than Anything is a fun emotional rollercoaster with a HEA.

This book was unfortunately not for me. I've been hoping to get the same spark from one of Anders' books since The Unwanted Wife and I haven't been able to get into a book since then. Here's to hoping the next one will do it for me!

RATING: 2 STARS
2019; Montlake Romance

This is a series review for both book one and two of Broken Pieces. As you all know I am super picky about romances, especially contemporary. I think because they are more "realistic" than other romances, they seem, to me, less fantasy. I did like the premise of both books being about redemption, as we know love and relationships rarely go smooth sailing. Unfortunately, both books were a DNF for me. I made it through 30% of the first book, and about 25% of the second one. I could not force myself to finish them. I wanted to as I had agreed to do a book blog tour. I wrote to let them know that these books did not work for me and I was not going to do the blog. I wasn't even sure if I wanted to do a spotlight as I didn't want to recommend them. She was kind and said they appreciated the dialogue, good or bad for the book and would leave it up to me to write a review or blog about it. I spent a week thinking about it and they are correct about dialogue. Also, as a reviewer it has always been important to me do give my honest opinion.

I am. not going to bash the books, as Natasha Anders wrote these books with love and was able to get them published. That is an accomplishment many do not get. I will state that the reason these books did not work for me were the characters. I did not feel invested in them or the story to read any further. I found the men were scooted to the "bad guy" realm but then not given enough rope to come back. I didn't skim the book to see if I was correct, as I wasn't that curious. As I always say, read other reviews and see what works for you.

I noticed I’ve been reading several books with the same theme like this one. It’s unintentional, maybe it’s the current trend? All the books I read that are like this story is published last year and this year. And I enjoy it! Oh, the pain! I can feel my heart constrict from reading every emotional-heavy parts.

I have a general rule when it comes to Natasha Anders books; she writes them, I read them. The woman can write a grovel like no one’s business. And she’s the queen of creating these perfectly imperfect and broken characters that you can’t help but fall for.
The second I read the blurb for this book, I was foaming at the mouth to get my hands on it. But I have to admit that it was not quite what I had expected. I thought I was going to read about a devastating hurt, and then a delicious grovel. And while this book was definitely one of those things, it wasn’t exactly. Confused? I was too. But let me explain.
Harris Chapman has been a boy that young Tina always had a crush on and who was entirely out of her league. Tina is a girl that was a slave to her own self consciousness about her looks and weights, and the cruel words of her classmates didn’t always help. One night with the boy of her dreams suddenly ended in the biggest heartbreak of her life. But Harris is not the cruel guy she’s made him out to be all these years. In actuality, Harris is a sweet, down to earth type of man that’s spent over ten years trying to make things right with Tina while she spent them avoiding him.
And while I enjoyed the story, I struggled quite a bit with liking Tina. To be perfectly frank, I never really warmed up to her. This is a woman that’s spent ten years in a spiral over something that could have been fixed over letting Harris have a second of her time and a conversation. Don’t get me wrong, this is a woman with some deep rooted pain and it’s no little thing. But I also wanted her to get her life together and finally shake herself out of her neurosis. She’s so scatterbrained and flighty, that it took almost the entirety of the book for me to connect to her. I felt for her, I really did. But I also wanted to shake her throughout most of the story.
Harris is so sweet and patient with her. He tries so hard, only to be shut down time and time again.
Now here’s the thing, though, while I struggled to connect with Tina, I still found myself enjoying the book. There’s a somewhat of a secondary plot that gets unraveled here with Harris’s twin brother and Tina’s best friend that I was dang near rabid to get more on. I loved the cute small town setting and the crossover with some of the previous characters we got in Natasha’s Alpha Men series. And even though Tina frustrated me, I still couldn’t put the book down and read it in practically one sitting. Was it my favorite story, probably not. But it sure set the stage for the next book and it did ultimately wrap up quite sweetly and made me finally see Tina in a different light.

This book was 🆂🅾 good. 🙌 A real douche of a 𝓱𝓮𝓻𝓸 followed by 🅔🅟🅘🅒 levels of groveling and 𝕤𝕨𝕖𝕖𝕥 𝕓𝕒𝕓𝕪 interactions. 💕 It probably would have been a 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 read if not for Ⱡł฿฿Ɏ herself. 😒 I found her extremely ѕelғ cenтered, and judgmental at times. 👎 Her feelings and 𝖆𝖙𝖙𝖎𝖙𝖚𝖉𝖊 towards 🅶🆁🅴🆈🆂🅾🅽 I fully understood, but her inner thoughts 𝓮𝓼𝓹𝓮𝓬𝓲𝓪𝓵𝓵𝔂 regarding Tina were ⊕ƒƒ-pu††ïηg and as a result I never loved her character 💯% Still, this was my favorite type of 🅢🅔🅒🅞🅝🅓 🅒🅗🅐🅝🅒🅔 romance and gets two ŜỖĹĮĎ thumbs up from your truly. 👍👍

I was certain this was going to be a 3 star read for me, the entire time I was reading it. Maybe 3.5 stars, but I was so annoyed by Tina and how she couldn't get over something that happened ten years ago, that seemed rather insignificant. Sure, it was hurtful what she overheard, but to let it define her life, color her decisions, and to lay all the blame on that one incident for all her failure, actions and inactionsfor so long. It didn't sit well with me. But then, I had this thought - that's just totally human. A lot of people actually do that. So I mellowed a bit. Then more details about what transpired came about - the consequences that she lived with. My chunk of ice heart thawed. I actually had a moment where I had to put the book down because I was overwhelmed. Of course, then Harris took on the blame. These two were really awesome at beating themselves up and not communicating, and thinking they knew what was best for the other. Yeah, irksome, but I totally get it. And this turned into a 4 star read for me. They were like real people, behaving badly, but in a totally relatable way. All in all, this was well done and gave me warm fuzzies by the end.

This isms first DNF is a long time. I could not get into this book at all. I tried and I finally had to give up and throw in the towel.
