This was different to what I would normally read but I enjoyed this book so much. I couldn’t put it down.. what a page turner !! The characters were great, the story itself was excellent the way it came together and the style of writing was perfect.
This is the first book that I have read by this author, I’ll definitely will be keeping my eye out for more. I would recommend this to anyone who likes reading psychological thrillers.

Before She Was Found is everything I have come to expect from this author. Tense, thrilling, and leaving you unable to tear yourself away, it is all too easy to get lost in the story.

The story of three friends that is anything but straightforward. The main character Cora is found following a brutal attack and the book takes us on a tale of past and present as we piece together the clues to find out what really happened, and who is to blame. As a reader I was playing detective, looking for clues to try and unravel the mystery of what had happened, and who was to blame.

The author is brilliant at weaving storylines together and creating multi faceted characters that trigger my imagination and lead me headlong into the action where I stay until the very end. Short chapters allow you to flick between past and present and added to the tension.

In case you hadn't realised, I really loved this book and would definitely recommend it to lovers of thrillers.

An ordinary sleepover between friends becomes a nightmare . When one of the girls is found barely alive on the train tracks . The police try and find out what happened. A really well told story . I didn’t know who to believe as it is told from many view points. It is definitely a book that keeps you hooked.

This had the makings of a really good suspenseful novel but after the initial exciting start it descended in to he said, she said and text messages. I am afraid that this just wasn’t my cup of tea but I am sure it will appeal to a younger audience.

I actually found this book quite hard to read, I am not sure if it was the actual style of writing or even the fact I found it slow to start. I put it down a few times just to see if it was actually myself not in the mood for reading. Very very occasionally and I do mean occasionally I just have a off day and don’t feel in the mood to read. This only last one day and only ever happens once in awhile. So I left it overnight and then started to read again, no again I genuinely just struggled. It did not grab me in anyway shape or form. So I did put it down for another couple of days. In between me putting this one down I did realise it had nothing to do with myself. I stated another book. It was gripping me so much I didn’t want to put the other book down. I did and I started to read this one again. No it did not hold my attention very long. Can’t say the storyline did much for me.i would have to say it’s up to you other readers if you decide to read it or not. Just not for me at all

A good thriller, twisty and suspenseful. Quite uniquely done, and great that it highlights real, modern safety issues. I did find it a little hard to connect with the characters, but I enjoyed their story enough to read it through. Thanks for my copy.

A good read about the dangers of the internet and bullying. The characters and the plot were believable and there was plenty of suspense the whole way through.

Thank you to Netgalley for my copy.

Three twelve year old girls walk into a train yard and only two girls come out unscathed, that was me hooked. This read was not what I was expecting and I mean that in a good way. It is eerie, suspenseful, packed to the rafters with tension and twists and turns. It had moments when I was sat on the edge of my seat. While reading this book I have been thoroughly entertained from the first to the last page. An easy five stars and so Highly Recommended.

Three twelve year olds' Cora, Violet and Jordyn sneaked out to an old abandoned train track during one of their sleepovers. It was midnight and things start getting messy very quickly. Just a few hours later, the police find them but Cora has been brutally stabbed. Violet is in shock while Jordyn seems to be unharmed, but is unwilling to say what occurred.

The story is told from many points of view, from family members, text messages, Doctors notes and journal entries. This is one of those books where i did not know how this story was going to unfold. I was hooked from the beginning, needing to understand just what had gone on and why it had happened. The author certainly knows how to pull the reader in and keep their attention until the very end. There is a lot of red herrings to put you off the trail but I was intrigued to find out the answers. A very well written book.

I would like to thank NetGalley, HQ and the author Heather Gudenkauf for my ARC in exchange for an honest review.
