I’ve tried reading this book a couple of times. The writing is fabulous and storyline wonderful, however I found it hard to connect with the characters but I feel this isn’t so within the author did wrong at all as I can she’s a fabulous writer but the problem lies with me trying a new genre I’ve not enjoyed previously. My rating reflects the part of the story I did read (45%) and the authors wonderful writing.

Emma Tallon is one of my most favorite authors, and once again with this one she didn't disappoint. I'm just sad that I get around to it earlier, but that's me, not you I promise! I love the way she weaves a story together, keeping the reader entertained until the end. Recommended for anyone who loves a good read that will keep you gripped until the end.

I would particularly like to thank Bookouture and the Netgalley website for this partnership.

Having loved the first two books in this series I needed to read the fourth one, I would buy the third one later.

It features the pretty Anna Davis who has grown up quite a bit. She's not the same person anymore, the little runaway who escaped from her boyfriend who was a gang member. She's changed completely, she doesn't let herself be stepped on anymore. As for Anna Freddie Tyler's devoted boyfriend, he's in a bad way. There's a mole in her family, and it must be stopped before her past is exposed. Anna's willing to help, but she's already got her own problems to deal with.

Anna and Freddie are going to have to fight to save their own asses.

I immediately hooked on the story, so captivating, addictive, full of suspense and twists and turns with Anna's ever-lovable character. I can't wait for the whole series to come out. I buy it for sure.

This is yet another brilliant read from the author and a great addition to the series. Once again we are drawn back into the world of Anna, Freddie, Tyler and their twisted lives. Throw into the mix Tanya’s mum, whose intentions may not be totally honest, and this story has it all in abundance.

Can not wait for the next one.

I have not read the first book, so I cannot comment on the continuity. But this story has solid characters. Anna's character is really well written and so strong. Her bullshit meter is pretty accurate and extremely impressive. I liked the friendship between Anna and Tanya.

So, this books has 2 parallels. One, is Freddie, working on the leak in his organization and covering up the mafia crime which I guess happened in the previous book. He is pretty crafty and that's what helped him in the end.
The second plot was that of Anna and a recovering Tanya, and Tanya's mother. This one was a pretty solid one too. The plot progressed at a good speed, so at no point were you bored.

The end was pretty interesting and I particularly enjoyed Freddie's cover up. Overall, I think if you have followed the series, then you won't be disappointed.

This takes off from the last book. Anna is trying to overcome her anxiety from what had happened and dealing with Tanya being in a coma. Then Tanya's mother comes to the hospital saying how sorry she was for the way she treated Tanya as a child. That she stopped drinking and changed. But Anna doesn't believe her and this puts a wedge between the 2 best friends.
Meanwhile Freddie finds out he has a leak in his organization and he needs to find out who it is. Also the mafia is after him because another Mafia king has gone missing in Freddie's territory. Then he hires ex DI to help him.
I may not like the lifestyle of the mafia and organized crime but the family and friendships in this series makes you want to be a part of them. They stick to each other and are there for each other no matter what as long as you do not cross them. Then you better wish you had never been born.
I received this from Bookouture and NetGalley for review.

This is a brilliant modern thriller. It's book four in the series about Anna, Tanya and Freddie Tyler. As usual the story is full of brilliant shocks and violence. Great. I couldn't put it down.

One of my favourite authors at the moment - I've been waiting for this latest book in this fantastic series and it didn't disappoint! A struggle between not wanting to put it down and not wanting it to end,. Great characters, gritty realism and a gripping storyline, fantastic!

This had been a curious read; I was a bit lost in the beginning because the story follows the plot from the previous book and there were some subplots I had to discover. But it was not difficult caring for the characters; specially Anna Davis and her best friend Tanya, they seem to have a complicated situation on the previous book!
If you are planning to start this series, stop reading now, I don’t want to spoil your read!
Anna is suffering in silence after all the trouble she has lived, killing is something that marks everyone, even in self deffence. But this will not be her only headache, her best friend is trying to recover from a 3 month coma and her estranged mother has appeared after years of silence, anyone would have a lot of doubts about it, am I right?
But this will not be the only plot of the story, but there are so many layers in this story that you will not be able to stop reading till the last page. There are a lot of characters, yes, but all of them have the special part on the story and it would not be completed without all of them; that’s for sure.
This is a multi-layered story, full of suspense and twists; you’ll love every page I can assure you! 😉

This is book four in the Anna Davis series and having now read the book, I am thrilled to say that it is another brilliant addition to an already outstanding series!!

I really enjoy this author’s books and her writing style is excellent. She makes the books very enjoyable, gripping reads and they are very hard to put down! Her characterisation is excellent, the character she has created are very believable and I really enjoy reading about them.

This is also fine to read as a stand-alone so you don’t need to worry if you haven’t read the previous books as can dive right in with this one, but I am sure after reading this story, you will want to get your hands on the other books in the series!

It is another 5 star read for me from this author – it is one I will be very highly recommending and I thought it was an additive and thoroughly enjoyable read!!

For readers of the Anna Davis series, no doubt Fierce Girl had been highly anticipated. However, as you read the pages of this book, you will find that it does well as a standalone novel. As the story begins Anna comes across as a strong woman. A woman who managed to survive a dangerous boyfriend - to the point that she almost lost her life. Now she is in a good relationship with Freddie Tyler, who runs a very successful criminal organization. Freddie loves Anna to distraction.

However, her best friend Tanya has managed to survive an awful attack. Barely. She is still in a coma and her only visitor was Anna. Anna is devastated by what happened to Tanya. So much so that she closes off her her heart to Freddie, keeping him at arm's length. Meanwhile, Tanya's mother Rosie shows up at the hospital and reinserts herself in Tanya's life after years of estrangement.

Rosie has a plan. A disastrous one as far as Anna is concerned. Rosie decides that she should be part owner to Club Anya - a club both Tanya and Anna own. The dynamic at this point in the book is nothing less than shocking. This puts a strain on Anna and Tanya's relationship, and by extension, Freddie's and Anna.

I found this book to be rather tragic. I felt, as I have in every single book in this series, very drawn to Anna. She is a warrior and is indeed the perfect mate to Freddie. However, in the pages of this book her trauma, and ultimate coping, is very dramatic and even made me draw tears. Freddie, however much he didn't understand what was happening, proved to be the strong hero he has always been.

The emotional edge of this story is finely balanced with the never-ending danger and spell-binding action that presents itself to Freddie and his family. Their enemies have nothing to hide and nothing to lose, proving that they will do anything they can to take Freddie down, no matter who gets hurt.

The first three books are Dangerous Girl, Runaway Girl and Boss Girl. Each book in the series is compelling and explores the pasts of Anna, Freddie and Tanya. As a true fan of Emma Tallon I definitely recommend not only this book, but each and every one prior to this. Fierce Girl is just the sort of book you must read from cover-to-cover, in one sitting, no matter what life throws at you. I look forward to the next book in this captivating series.

Many thanks to Bookouture and to NetGalley for this ARC to review in exchange for my honest opinion.

Thanks to Netgalley for the advanced copy of the book in exchange for honest review.

This is the First book in the Anna Davis series, that I have read. Story revolves around Anna, her partner Freddie , her BFF Tonya. It seems Anna is still grieving from a tragedy of losing a child that happened at the end of the previous book. Her best friend Tonya is in coma again due to some incidents in the previous book but her business is doing well.
Tonya's mom Rosie suddenly comes into picture and she tries to create rift between Anna 's and Tonya's .

How Anna exposes Rosie and how her husband Freddie deals with his own business issues forms the story.

Book is fast paces and characters are well written. I like the book and look forward to reading more books from the author.

I really wish I had read the other books in this series, because I feel like there is so much depth to these characters that I’m missing. Anna and Freddie, the two main characters here, are so well written. They’re incredibly likeable, despite the fact that they are definitely not innocent people, and their emotions are so finely detailed that I felt really invested in them. How on earth did I end up liking the head guy of a crime group so much? Freddie is both hard and disturbing, and caring and emotional, and somehow Tallon combines these two sides of him perfectly. His relationship with Anna is really sweet, and I’ll be going back to the previous books to find out exactly how their relationship has progressed. The past events that have happened (which Tallon details in this book, so I was able to understand the context) clearly affected these two deeply, and watching them both struggle with these emotions was painful. Their pain practically jumped out the page at me. What I really liked was that Anna was portrayed not only as the vulnerable woman who has experienced something tragic, but also as the tough businesswoman who is determined to do things her way. Similarly with Freddie, he is both the tough gang leader, able to commit horrific violence towards people, but also the caring partner struggling with his own emotions after a tragedy of his own. It’s a touching partnership, and I enjoyed how Tallon made them both strong characters in their own ways as well as a strong couple.

I liked the secondary characters as well, from Anna’s friend Tanya, to Freddie’s brothers and friends, to the detective-turned-PI Sarah. They all served a purpose and built the story up further, providing more depth without being confusing. Tallon wrote this really well, as it would have been easy for the reader to be confused at the vast array of characters but it was surprisingly easy to understand, which is purely due to the great writing.

The actual story itself was definitely intriguing, as there were two parts to it that didn’t really seem connected. Freddie’s mafia troubles were different to anything I’ve really read before, but I really enjoyed it, and his reactions and plans were both clever but also impulsive when necessary. Anna’s determination to prove that Tanya’s mother was up to something was tough to read as she became alienated from Tanya, but it also meant the reader was behind her every step at the way, urging her to find out what really happened.

The ending tied everything together really nicely, and while Tallon definitely doesn’t shy away from violence, it was a fast-paced and intriguing ending, building up to a very satisfying conclusion. It was clever how she linked everything together, in a surprising way that still made sense. I liked that there was a slight plot twist/cliffhanger, enough to leave the reader wondering but not too frustrated.

Overall, this is a brilliant, fast-paced and unusual read. The characters are awesome, with lots of depth and emotion that means the reader gets really invested in them. I would 100% recommend!

A rollercoaster ride with many twists and turns.
This is the fourth book in the series and it would be best if they are read in order.
Another amazing book by this author. I just love her writing style. Can’t wait for another book by her

Fierce Girl is the fourth book in the series featuring Anna Davis and her London crime boss boyfriend, Freddy Tyler. Anna’s best friend and business partner, Tanya, is recovering from a severe gunshot wound and may not survive. Tanya’s estranged mother (who abused her as a child) shows up and insists on taking over her care, essentially pushing Anna out. Anna is distraught, feeling it’s her fault that Tanya was shot, and feels that something isn’t right. To make matters worse, Freddie, is feeling the heat from the mob in America with the disappearance of Frank Gambino, who was murdered in the last book by Freddy.

Although most don’t know what it is actually like to be a member of a crime family, Tallon’s depiction rings true. The books leading up to Fierce Girl are fascinating, but this book is the best so far. The suspense begins to build immediately, and doesn’t stop until the dénouement. Anyone who has read the previous novels is already familiar with the characters who are well-developed and seem like real people. Tallon has also done some research or has first-hand knowledge of narcissism, which makes one of the unsavory characters stand out. This novel is almost impossible to put down.

This is the first time in the series that Anna and Tanya have had conflict between them, and with the problems with Freddy and the pressure from Gambino’s murder, as well as Freddy’s suspicion that one of his long-trusted friends has somehow gone rogue since some of his secret shipments have been seized by the cops, things are not going well in the Tyler family.

The one drawback of this novel is that much of the story refers to the previous novels and reading this one before the previous ones will give away secrets and spoil them. It is highly recommended that the previous novels, Runaway Girl, Dangerous Girl, and Boss Girl be read before Fierce Girl. They are all worth reading. They are all well-written and suspenseful. Tallon has outdone herself on this novel, however, and this is the best of the bunch.

Special thanks to NetGalley for supplying a review copy of this book.

Emma My Lovely.........You've done it again................Just Brilliant!

Fierce Girl is the fourth book in the Anna Davis gangland series, and it was just a brilliant read. I was hooked yet again from the first few pages and I just wanted to read it through the night to see what happens to Anna, Tanya and Freddie.
There's a new character called Rosie who is Tanya's Mother.......Boy she was a strong character and played her part very well in this excellent book. You find out why Tanya is what she is today, You read about the relationship she had with her Mother Rosie when she was younger...........Rosie has come onto the scene, after not having any contact with her daughter for many years!
Rosie, comes over to be a perfect supportive mother to Tanya now, when she was recovering from being shot etc from the last book Dangerous Girl.

What Is she after?

Luckily Anna smells a rat and watches Rosie very closely. Thats what Friends are For!!!!

Freddie, is just Freddie..........He's carrying on, as Business as usual in the gangland scene. He's a brilliant character who I would love to have on my side. He's Loyal to his family and close friends. But Don't cross him..............You will see the real Freddie..........The Mafia are now here looking for one of their own who has disappeared!

As usual things are getting gritty and tense for everyone and will they get through this?

This Book is darker and more gruesome than Emma's other novels. Plus was her best so far in this series.
I loved this I couldn’t put it down. I can’t wait for book 5.

Books in Order by Emma in this Anna Davis Series:
1. Runaway Girl,
2. Boss Girl,
3. Dangerous Girl.
4. Fierce Girl.

Big Thank you to Bookouture and NetGalley for an advanced readers copy of this book. All opinions are my own and not biased in anyway.

Emma Tallon has written another gripping gritty tale packed with fabulous characters! This is the fourth book in the Anna Davis series. While this book certainly could be read as a standalone I’d strongly encourage you to read the entire series it is well worth your time. Anna is still grieving from a tragedy that happened at the end of the previous book. Her business is thriving, but her BFF/business partner Tonya’s mother Rosie is in town. Anna is suspect of Rosie‘s intentions and is not buying that she is back to help out her daughter. Meanwhile anna’s boyfriend Freddy Who is somewhat of a mob boss once again find himself in danger.

This book was fast paced and had my heart racing throughout. The story was a little dark and some parts were a bit gruesome, definitely not for the faint of heart. BUT these characters are so amazing and really got under my skin. Anna stole my heart in the first book and I have loved seeing her grow from an abuse victim to a strong self-sufficient woman. I was keeping my fingers crossed for Tonya throughout this story, and once again I just love the bond between these girls. Freddie once again reminded me of Sonny Corinthos, such a lovable thug. The relationship between Anna and Freddie is still strong. Anna is definitely FIERCE and in this book she was fighting for those she loves. Another great installment in the series that once again left me wanting more!

*** Big thanks to Bookouture for my copy of this book ***

Fierce Girl is the fourth book in the Anna Davis gangland series, and this is the best instalment so far but each of the books are gritty and gripping. There's never a dull moment and the non-stop high-octane action makes it an unputdownable page-turner. Each book can be read as a standalone but to be honest, this is such a powerful and thrilling set of novels that you are likely to want to read them all. Tallon makes this possible by filling new readers in with the relevant information and backstory.

It is a brutal world these characters inhabit but the fact that they stick together through thick and thin against their enemies is inspiring to see. There are characters you love as well as many you love to hate. This is one of those rare books that you desperately want to rush through because it is so damn addictive but that you also wish to savour. I had a real hard time trying to read it slower. If you enjoy fast-paced family dramas mixed with the harshness of the gangland environment then you cannot pick a better book of series than this. Simply superb! Many thanks to Bookouture for an ARC.

Wow! I tore through this continuing saga, based in London's gritty underworld. I have not read the whole series, but intent to! There are some gory scenes where people get what they deserve in this world. But also the depth of family ties, and you don't have to be blood related to be family! A wonderful addition to the series! More please!!!
