I thoroughly enjoyed this book and kept changing my mind doing as to what the outcome might be. I loved how each chapter alternated between Sam and Phoebe and as the year came to an end the chapters got shorter building to 'the day'. Light hearted and fun entertainment.

There’s a new romantic coupling in town and Phoebe and Sam are it. Miranda Dickinson has written a very special book which had me from the very first page. From the hustle of St Pancras to the beautiful setting of Puglia you feel you have travelled with Poppy on her adventures all the while rooting for this very special long distance relationship. From tears to laughter I have been on a rollercoaster of emotions. I will be buying this for my friends

Sam and Phoebe meet by chance at St Pancreas and both are going on their own adventures.
Will love blossom? they agree to meet again in 12 months time if they think they want to be together.
I love the fact the book was written from the point of both Sam and Phoebe. It makes it easy to follow.
a well written easy read.
Really enjoyed it and will certainly read more from Miranda Dickinson

I am so upset to say that this book just wasn’t for me. I wanted so badly to love The Day We Meet Again, it had on face value everything I want from a book, a romance that can’t be and a climatic ending, but the payoff was very far from that. I have to be honest and say that the two main characters ruined this book for me, they were flat and the back and forth between them didn’t seem all that real or realistic at all. I think I was expecting something more and what I got instead was a lot of drama over nothing. I thought the ending was a cop out and I definitely think there are better books out there.

As I have mentioned the biggest problem I had with The Day We Meet Again was the fact that the characters came across as extremely flat. I have no issue with having a romance book based purely off two people if those two people are interesting enough to hold the story on their own. Phoebe and Sam were not those people, the conversations they had were mundane, their reasons for drama were inflated and completely boring and their entire relationship had no foundations. I also thought that there wasn’t enough development done on the side characters, and I still don’t know what happened in their story lines that were started but never finished.

This was a really hard section for me to write because I think all the bits that should have been my best bits of The Day We Meet Again, were tainted by the bad characters and lack of development. I think my favourite bits if I took the characters out of the equation would have to be the way that the landscapes in the different places that Phoebe finds herself. I loved learning about where she had found herself, I just wish that had been more of the focus that her emails and texts with Sam.

I have mentioned how much I really didn’t enjoy the characters in The Day We Meet Again and they definitely make up one of my worst bits about the story. However another reason I wasn’t a fan of this book was just how underedeveloped everything was, even the relationship in which the whole book was based, there was literally nothing to keep them together and yet we had to listen and read awful heart hearted emails and text messages between them. I wanted to throw my Kindle at the wall. I can’t even bring myself to talk about the ending, I so wanted this to be the redeeming factor but it was rubbish, there was no actual closure on anything that had happened, and I just feel like it was rushed with no real effort to make these characters anything more than two dimensional.

I don’t think I would recommend The Day We Meet Again, there are definitely better romance books our there with characters that I would actually care about if something happened to them. I just think there was too much going on in this book for there to be any real development.

Love at first sight.. Or is it? Sam and Phoebe meet when their trains are delayed when they are both embarking on journeys of self discovery for a year. Will they meet after the year, are they really meant to be together or is it just false hope? A lot of angst, soul searching, double guessing, jumping to conclusions by both of them mean you sometimes just want to pick them both up and shake them though

I don’t read many love stories anymore. (I always used to be a big fan.) It was nice to return to an old favourite genre.
#TheDayWeMeetAgain by Miranda Dickinson is set in London, Scotland and parts of Europe. Our couple meet as they are about to embark on separate year long adventures, and the books follows them as they negotiate their journeys and their developing relationship.
This is a good book if you want escapism and an uplifting read. Written from the point of view of both the male and the female, this is a well written and interesting exploration of new love and personal realisation.
Thank you to #NetGalley the publishers and the author for the opportunity to read and review this book.

I’m always eager for a Miranda Dickinson and this did not disappoint. I was left well and truly broken by this beauty of a story of love of what I expect.

A beautiful, romantic notion of a love story and finding yourself. Two people meeting by chance but believing they’re meant to be and can survive a year apart to do what they had set out for. The self discovery is the main theme throughout the book and is told in a lovely way to feel compassion and empathy for each Phoebe and Sam. The happy ever after is not how you’d expect it to end but leaves you feeling warm and happy with a smile on your face as you turn the final page.

3.5⭐️ rounded up to 4

Sam and Phoebe meet by chance at St. Pancras Station. All the trains have been delayed so they spend an hour together. They realise that love could be blossoming between them. But Phoebe has taken a year out and her first stop is Paris while Sam is on his way to Scotland, hoping to find his father. They decide that if they still feel the same about each other in a years time, they will meet at St. Betjeman's statue.

The chapters switch between Phoebe and Sam. We are told where they are and what they are doing. The story was t as predictable as I thought it would be. There are a few unexpected twists to keep your interest. We also get told about the locations they are at. But do they get together? You will have to read this book to find out.

I would like to thank NetGalley, HQ and the author Miranda Dickinson for my ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Phoebe’s adventure is waiting.
Sam has to deal with his past so he can move on with his future. But will love wait while life happens?

Phoebe and Sam meet by chance at St Pancras station.
Heading in opposite directions, both seeking their own adventures,
meeting the love of their lives wasn't in the schedule.
So they make a promise: to meet by the statue of Sir John Betjeman
in twelve months' time if they still want to be together.

But is life ever as simple as that?

Oh this book.... I seemed to have a constant bout of hayfever whilst reading this. That must have been it.... I think it's the fact that Miranda Dickinson is so talented with writing - that she painted a very realistic scene as Phoebe and Sam met. Too realistic. I could see this playing out as a very emotional movie!

‘We’ll meet again at St Pancras station, a year from today. If we’re meant to be together, we’ll both be there. If we’re not, it was never meant to be . . .’

You will root for these two. You really will. We follow both Phoebe and Sam as they go their seperate ways for the next year. Exploring, travelling, and constantly having us wondering 'Will they....won't they...' meet again.

The only criticism is the accuracy of some of the real places that are explored in the book. Trains to Scotland directly from St Pancras....? And the location of the statue - once I read about the statue I had to find out more and it's actually nowhere near the entrance to the Eurostar. Because it was so beautifully written I did feel that a little more research could have gone into the locations or logistics as should be the case when using real statues and places in a book. However... don't let that stop you from reading this absolutely stunning book. Suspend reality...and enjoy.

I loved the start of this, but I soon became annoyed by Phoebe's side of the story where everything was shiny and bright. Sam's story was more interesting but the back and forth of the alternating chapters became a little wearing. A pleasant love story.

Oh my goodness I loved this book so much. This has very much the same kind of tone and mood of It Started with a Kiss and I fell in love with the characters in the same was as I did with Fairytale of New York. I loved it.

I love that fact that we meet Sam and Phoebe and then they go their separate ways, off to have life adventures and agree to meet again in exactly as year. They are really quite different from each other and so reading their respective sides of the story made for a page turning novel. You want to find out where Phoebe is going to be heading next and which of Sam's friend's he is going to encounter next. I also love the fact that we got a novel set in parts of Scotland I love but haven't really read about much before. I did do a little swoon when Sam steps out of Glasgow Central station for the first time because I could just picture myself right there.

Obviously Phoebe's travel to Europe means lots of food and lots of coffee so make sure you have both to hand when you're reading this one. I loved the description of all the different ways you can serve and eat fried dough and I really had to go out and make another coffee just to get me through.

In terms of a love story this one if so frustrating, you can't help but fall in love with It yourself. There is the long distance thing, the chance they might meet other people, what is going to happen when they meet again, the list of things that could go wrong is endless and so it keeps you reading on and on because you have to find out what obstacle is going to be thrown at them next.

I loved this read, it was compelling and so utterly romantic. I loved the characters, I loved the settings and of course I loved the food. I highly recommend but just make sure you clear your schedule because you're not going to want to put it down!

Thank you for the opportunity to read and review The Day We Meet Again. I'm afraid this wasn't for me, it was a little too cloying for my tastes and I struggled to remain engaged with the characters and plot.

Light and pleasant read, nice enough but just wasn’t as good as a lot of Miranda’s other books. I feel lots will really enjoy this and it was an entertaining read, just didn’t seem as magic or to flow as well as previous books

Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for a free copy for an honest opinion

This book is one that had a wonderful feel-good factor and totally wrapped me up in the story. I loved every minute of reading the book and did not want it to end - well I did really to get to the happy conclusion! Definitely recommended to anyone who has a romantic bone in their body, even if it hidden away most of the time!

Sam who is moving to Scotland for a year and Phoebe who is travelling to Paris meet by chance after both their trains are delayed at St Pancras station. They are instantly attracted to one another and spend a couple of hours getting to know each other, developing the instant bond the both felt to each other. The couple agree to meet up again in the same place in exactly one years time to see if what they feel is real and has stood the test of time.
This was a nice enough romance which was very light reading and flowed along well enough but unfortunately was just not my type of read.
A good read if you like your reading light and fluffy and 3 stars from me.
Many thanks to Netgalley and publishers for ARC.

I loved this, apart from the part where I stayed up until 2am to finish it! Phoebe and Sam are realistic and sympathetic leads, and I enjoyed seeing their story evolve from both perspectives. I got so engrossed in the story and invested in a ‘happily ever after’ that I read some sections with a lump in my throat. Beautifully written and completely engaging - highly recommended.

A beautifully written story that had emotion, love, fear, friendship, romance and so much more. I really liked this book. Likeable characters and a good storyline that really tugged the heartstrings.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for the ARC in return for an honest and unbiased opinion.

I have read and enjoyed a few previous books by this author, so I was pleased to recieve an early preview copy of this book from Netgalley and the Publisher in return for an honest review.
This book starts at St.Pancreas train station, where after a delay Phoebe and Sam bump into each other, and feel an instant connection, it is love at first sight. They have to continue their separate journeys and so agree to text and email each other. They decide to meet again at the station in a years time, if they still feel the same way.
I thought that this book would be predictable, but it wasn't. There were unexpected twists to the plot, which kept me interested, and made the book more enjoyable.
I loved reading about the different locations that were visited by Sam and Phoebe, and their different adventures and decisions.
I thought that this book was a lovely romantic read and it had a lot of surprises along the way. I found it hard to put down, and would highly recommend it.
