My Life in Lists is a book that prompts you to pay attention to and to take note of a lot of different aspects of your life. It is also really pretty! Pretty lists: a match made in heaven 😍

In My Life in Lists, each page is a different prompt for you to list information. You’ll find pages like Best Advice I Have Ever Received, Bucket Lists, and Milestones. I have been on the lookout for a book like this that not only has fun prompts but also opportunities to list personal favourites. I swear I have the memory of a sieve, because if prompted I cannot tell you what one of my favourite book/movie/songs. So a book like My Life in Lists is not only fun but for sieve-brained me, it’s fun-ctional 😉

Each list and page within My Life in Lists is set out differently and they all look amazing. Some lists are pretty straight forward like Best Advice I Have Received, and others are very intricate and cute, like the Favourite Quote and My Library page.

RECOMMENDATIONS

Okay, so I received a digital copy of this book to review and after I finished reading through the book – I immediately went and preordered a physical copy. If that isn’t enough of a recommendation for you, then I don’t know what is 😋

If you like writing lists and if you really like cute visuals, then My Life in Lists is for you!

Please note: I received a copy of My Life in Lists from NetGalley.

Barlettano’s book took me back to my pre-teen years when list journals seemed to be all the rage. There were lists for everything under the sun. When I saw this offering on NetGalley, I thought it would be fun to revisit old times. It was, but I also look at it differently now as an adult.

This “Illustrated Journal to Record Your Loves + Goals + Dreams” is exactly what it says and nothing more. Barlettano has divided the journal into three parts: Lists about your Past, Lists for the Present You, and Lists to Plan Your Future.

Some of the list topics are fun and original, such as “What to Binge Watch” and “What’s in My Bag” but many are generic subjects that can be found in most journals or online diaries.

As Barlettano writes in a short “how-to” at the beginning of the journal, it is best to use a pencil when writing the lists because things will change as you change.

Each list is illustrated with different designs or themes, which adds to the journal, but many of the illustrations seemed very “girly” and immature. I am sure there are a lot of people who would find these illustrations wonderful, but I am not one of them. That aside, this journal is well organized and will stimulate introspection for many users.

My Life in Lists by Nicole Barlettano is a fun and fulfilling way to journal in a creative way. Each page has a different illustration to match the style of the question, for example, the page for Perfect Memories is illustrated with fun photo frames. What a great way to remember that this can be a journal filled with words, or it can feature drawings and doodles, or a great combination of both! There are 100 pages of journal prompts that will keep you thinking, and adding on.

My Life in Lists of the Past, Present and Future
This book is divided up into three categories; your past, the present you, and ways to plan your future

.Lists about your Past - Listing out things that you may not have thought about in a long time such as; The Best Decisions I Have Ever Made, The Best Compliments I have Ever Received, and Challenges I've Overcome. What a great way to look back on your life and list out the things that have made you what you are today.

Lists for the Present You - These are the things that are going on in your life right now. Things that help you make decisions, ways to change your mood or things that inspire you. You can journal to prompts of; I am Unique Because, People Don't Know that I, The Soundtrack to My Life, and Things that Energize Me.

Lists to Plan Your Future - This is a great place to put into writing things like; Travel Bucket List, Dream Job, Acts of Kindness and My Perfect Day.

This is a great book for yourself, or someone who likes to record the important things (and the fun things) in their life. My Life in Lists makes a great gift. Don't forget to leave your own list, in the book cover of their gift, to let them know why this unique journal made you think of them!

what can I say about this book.. hmmmm..this book is something you would enjoy if you have possibly thought of bullet journaling or making lists for everything and your had no idea where to start with it. I think its refreshing that it is a bit more in depth than most "lists" books I still really love the living well planner in terms of an illustrated journal but this is way cheaper than that 45$ book. Its a good take on the list planning world.

I can recommend My Life in Lists to anybody who'd like to get him/herself to know better and explore why you're doing what you're doing, how experiences shaped your life and what you like and dislike.
The lists are categorized in chapters and it feels like this is more marketed to younger teens than adults.
Since this is a PDF file I cannot really judge how it ultimately would look like as a hard- or soft cover book.

I would like to thank Netgalley and the Publishers for my copy of 'My Life in Lists'. If i were a lot younger, i would have used such a book. I'm sure my 19 yr old granddaughter would love a book like this, which was nicely presented. Recommended. This is my honest review which i have freely given.

I'm loving all these journals that have been coming out in recent years. And not only did I enjoy this so much because it's more of a "let's get to know you better" but also it reminded me of a similar styled journal I had in middle school, which I sadly no longer have but like this one was a great time capsule to remind you later on who you were at the time.
It's a fun mix of "this is who I am in this moment" and kind of a bullet journal for those of us who never managed to get to into it.

This is fabulous book. I can see me using this. It gives you clear prompt pages. It is not like an ordinary journal. This is all about making lists. So if like me you love making lists then you will simply love this.
Thank you to both NetGalley and the publishers for giving me the opportunity to read this book in exchange for my honest unbiased review

My life in lists is a book to start with journaling. Every page has a different prompt to create a list. The layout, colors, and wordings are more aimed towards younger girls. The graphic design is well done and fun for that particular audience. For more mature persons, it's probably too juvenile.

This is a book to guide you to make your own ideal journal.

Jouranaling is confirmed as a tool to increase focus, to enhance productivity and to decrease chaos. All great personalities advocate some sort of reflection in your life, one mode of these is jouranaling.
Thing that you write becomes clear.
.
Data overload of present environment can easily confuse sane mind and deviate from your true destiny.
It might be impossible to make meaning of complex environment.
.
Lists provided in book are artistic, soulful, practical and will be highly useful.
It provides a scaffold to start. Wonderful lists covering different productivity areas are rendered.
It gives you guidance to start and appreciate power of lists.

It is great tool to focus on your goals amongst chaos surrounding your life.
Thanks netgalley and author for review copy.

This is definitely for a passionate list lover! There's an endless variety of topics for all things that might come to mind and of which to make a list. However, the spaces for writing are too small in my opinion, even for just list making and the colours and style of the layout definitely point to younger audience - preteen girls with all the pinks et.

I have never been a list keeper. I make grocery lists, birthday and important dates lists, and some to-do lists to keep me on track but the level of listing in this book is over the top for me. However, this is a cute and well thought-out presentation of everything you can possibly imagine for those who are so inclined or just want to give it a try. I can see a young person going wild with this, and possibly gaining a life-long habit.

I think I just found the perfect book for my teenage nieces! It's beautifully presented with great ideas for things to journal/remember. I'm a fifty year old woman but I'd still enjoy filling it. Yes,I think this one will be a seller. With thanks to Netgalley and publisher for the digital copy in exchange for my honest review. Can't wait for this one to hit Amazon.

This is a perfect book for those who are not quite ready for the time Bullet Journalling takes. Each topic is given a beautifully decorated dedicated page to note down your thoughts. I’m certain it’s the perfect stepping stone to making your own lists.

Vibrant colors and cute formatting. The list challenges are fun and entertaining and have enough black face for even the longest answers.

A great book to learn journaling and recording achievements, dreams etc. I think this seems to be aimed at a teenager based on its language , colours and appearance. It would be a great introduction for teenagers and is fun and cheerful, feels a little simplistic to be aimed at a more mature audience

Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for a free copy for an honest opinion
