I loved this book, I couldn't put it down. The concept was really good - I would watch the TV programme if they ever made it. I loved Luke and Nell. They were so different but this books shows opposites do attract and they worked well together through the challenges. There was a little bit of angst but in general a feel good book that had you rooting for the H and h. The book left me wanting more of this couple, I had not read one and this did not detract from this book at all.

Wow! Wow! Wow!

This book blew me away! It was freaking awesome! While reading this book I felt like I was watching a television show.

Million Dollar Marriage was even better than I expected it to be. It was raw on the edge of your sit type of reading.
I felt like I was a part of the audience and I was watching the story unfold.

There were parts of this book that had me biting my nails off! Then other parts had me yelling at Penny and Luke.

Penny is a scared independent woman who doesnt want to disappoint anyone so she lives a sheltered life. She has so many degrees and she is extremely smart.

Luke is a young man who had a ruff life. He is an ex-drug addict, he has been to jail, and his parents in my opinion are to blame.

Penny is in student loan debit up to her ears. Her father kicked her to the curb only because she didn't pick the college he wanted her to.

Luke is in so much debit and he is ready to lose the bar that his grandfather left for him. He is also struggling to pay for his grandmother's nursing home care.

Then you have a new show coming out and it is called Million Dollar Marriage!

This television show is super intense and shady as a mother!

So naturally I would love to spill all of the beans about this read but you know i can't do that.

I will tell you to go and buy this book when it comes out. I promise you will not be disappointed.

I could and will totally pick up this book and read it again!

Ugh...Katy Evans I love you and you get me!!! You get me! Oh and I am in love with Luke! He can speak to me in French any day of the week! Dear sweet baby jesus...hold me!

While reading this book Believe by the Mumford & Son's was playing on repeat in my head.

Great story! I'm not a fan of reality shows but this one is great. Luke and Penelope complements each other and make an awesome team. The producers dont know the potential but is too late to break them.
The others characters are good too and make important appearance.
I enjoy reading this book and recommend it.

I received an ARC of this book to read through NetGalley in exchange for a fair review. Million Dollar Marriage by Katy Evans is the second book in her Million Dollar series. It can be read as a stand-alone. Penelope (Nell) Carter and Luke Cross are opposites … she has a number of doctorates and he didn’t finish high school, she comes from an upper middle class family and he lived on the streets for a while. What they do have in common is the need for a large amount of money … she to pay off her school debts and he to pay off the mortgage on the bar he inherited from his grandfather. They both audition for the reality television show Million Dollar Marriage and get matched in a modern take on the arranged marriage/marriage of convince story. The show is a combination of Survivor and Amazing Race with the partners getting married to each other at the beginning of the show. One of the things I loved most about this story is how they become each others biggest booster, that they are better together even though on paper they look like they would never be a match. Lighthearted with just the right amount of angst, I found this book to be an enjoyable read. Medium steam. Publishing Date July 23, 2019 #NetGalley #KatyEvans #MontlakeRomance #MillionDollarMarriage

Usually, the second book in a series is not quite as good as the first, but Million Dollar Marriage was so much better. I loved Nell and Luke’s story. This was a great idea for the plot, the trials and tribulations of the contest, having to work with a stranger and learning to trust each other. What started out as a lark to get out of debt, becomes the foundation of a true relationship.

Totally opposite and they fall totally in love. Million Dollar Marriage by Katy Evans was an enjoyable and quick read for me with a different and surprisingly fun premise. I was rooting for this couple from the start! A great book to put on your summer reading list! Thanks to NetGalley for this copy to enjoy and review.

I did not finish this one. Interesting premise, but I didn't care for either of the main characters.

Luke and Nell are both in need of money. She recently finished her doctored and is deep in debt with student loans while Luke is trying to keep his grandfather’s bar afloat. What better way is there to make some fast cash that to jump into a reality TV marriage? I really enjoyed the premise of this book and it was a sweet romance.

This book was an unexpected surprise! I loved it. It was kind of The Amazing Race meets Married at First Site with a twist. Nell, Penelope, was such a great character. She really won my heart. She is brilliant but shyness and poor self esteem makes her aloof. But through her inner monologue you meet the true Nell. And then there is hottie Luke with his checkered past. He’s athletic, great looking, everyone wants to be around him. He’s the polar opposite of Nell. Where she has a PHD, he hasn’t even graduated high school.
They are the least likely to be attracted to each other.....
This was a fun read with some feels thrown in too. I could even see myself doing a reread at some point.
There were a couple small things that bugged me but minor pet peevey things, not things to spoil my enjoyment!

I received this book from Net Galley for an honest review.

I tried to read this book. I tried really hard. I was hoping that it would be better than the first book, but I just couldn't. I don't think this author's writing is for me.

A fun and entertaining fast paced read.

Nell and Luke both have their own debts as their own reason for entering the million dollar marriage, a new relaity TV show. Opposites thrown together for the show, the more they get to know each other the more they fall for each other, so what will happen when the show is over?

Luke is my new book boyfriend. This book got me in the feels. I love how the hero made his lady become more confident and self aware. I hated having to put this book down for real life. I wanted to devour it in one sitting.

I did like the premise of Million Dollar Marriage and if it wasn't for a few things, I think I'd have enjoyed the book a lot more. This novel takes place in a reality show in which single and adventurous people sign up to get the opportunity to earn one million dollars.

Nell is a young woman who is afraid to face the real world. So, instead of working, she decided to study even more to increase her professional credibility on her field. However, today at the age of 25 she has just finished her doctorate and there is nowhere else to go. But now she's neck in deep in student loans and she has no idea how to pay for all of it. Until the day she listen about a new reality show in which the winner would win one million dollars. Even though she doesn't enjoy reality shows and also doesn’t have an adventurous vein in her body, she decides to give it a try.

Luke is also completely drowned in debt. His bar left by his grandfather isn't going well and he can't no longer take out a loan from the bank. He's doing the best he can but he doesn't know how to get more money to pay his debts and also his grandmother's nursing home, so when his best friend says he should consider the idea of this new reality show, he jumps at the opportunity.

That said, Nell and Luke soon get paired and embark on this journey together. Initially things between them doesn't go well. They're totaly opposities. He is sociable, easygoing, competitive, adventurous, sexy, a body full of tattoos and he doesn't believe in love. She is introverted, antisocial, shy, always buried in books and inexperienced in almost everything in life. They are not each other's type, but somehow there are chemistry and a lot of atraction between them.

I'm not gonna spoil the dynamics of the show, but if they both wanna win it, then they'll have to put their issues aside and work together. However, as they get to know each other, things start to change as well.

I enjoyed the first 10% of the book, until I got to know Nell a little bit more. She kind of ruined the story for me. I din't like her in the begining and I still didn't like her in the end. She's extremely annoying and irritating, so much so that I don't even know how Luke eventually fell in love with her. Actually this part was so forced, that it didn’t convince me.

After a certain point, Nell became more friendly and nice because she was falling in love for the first time and experiencing things she never did before and all of it was changing her. So even though I recognize she got a lot better, still the author couldn't change that first impression I got from the begining. However, It did held my attention and kept me up late reading because for a while there the book was funny and occasionally moving, but I still wish some things would have been done differently. Like the unnecessary drama in the end. It was silly and very much predictable. Also the way things fell into place just right, was kind unreal.

Over all it was an okay book. Like I said the premisse about two people falling in love in a reality show was exciting but I think at the end I enjoyed the idea of the book more than the book per se.

Can opposite turn into Forever?

In the second book in the Million series we get to know Luke so much better. He is such a nice guy it was easy to like him. However Nell needed her layers pealed a bit first in the end I grew to really like her. I really enjoyed this book and it kept me engrossed throughout. I really loved the characters and the way they interacted with each other. This is a fun, hot, romantic must read book and I would definitely recommend this book to anyone.

Authors Blurb:If someone had bet Nell a million dollars that she would be saying “I do” to a complete stranger on national television, she’d have called them crazy, but with her crushing student loan payments sending her deep into the red, she’s out of options. This should be nothing more than a business transaction—until she sets eyes on her groom, and everything changes.
The game is on the instant Luke spots Penelope “Nell” Carpenter. He’s out for the money, yes, but getting a little dirty with Nell doesn’t sound too bad either. Everyone knows he’s not the marrying kind, so it’s a good thing it’s just for show. God knows he’s the worst guy his pretty wife should pick for real.
They have nothing in common, but if they want the grand prize, they’ll have to beat out eight other couples. Proving that total opposites attract should be easy enough…as long as they don’t fall in love in the process.

This book has everything I love in a book. Then you add that it's beautifully written and believable. It is easily a five star read. Written in dual POV my personal favorite this story flows so incredibly well that the next thing you know your 80% into the book and loving every second of it. The believable way the characters interact is perfect. Run, Hop, Jump or use your (1 click) finger to do whatever you have to do and get this amazing book. It'll break your heart, you'll want to scream with frustration and it'll let you discover that love just might conquer all. The chemistry is steamy and sweet and oh so romantic.

Thanks Netgally for letting me read and review.📚💕

I loved Nell and Luke! They both decide to do a show involving a fake marriage for a million dollars. Luke is doing it to save his family bar and Nell needs to pay off her student loans. They are paired and tie the knot. The trick is trying not to fall In love with each other while frantically trying to win the game. Can they win each other’s heart and trust? Can something fake turn into something real? Such a great read! It will keep you on the edge of your seat! Move over Amazing Race, there is a new game in town! 5 stars
