First for me by this author and I absolutely 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐝 every minute of it. This book follows Luke Cross and Penny Carpenter on the journey of a lifetime. I’ve never read a book that was based on staring in a reality show that was so entertaining.

The disdain they started out with during their initial meeting and in the challenges they were forced to endure, to the passion displayed after attaining a goal and finally bonding were some amazing scenes.

Luke’s determination, positivity and strength coupled with Penny’s intelligence and wit, made them an unstoppable team. Watching their story unfold and being sucked into every moment, you felt all the emotions of the characters.

Well written and great character development.

This is a great romance story that has amazing characters that I really enjoyed. Was page-turning and passionate throughout and really had me hooked from start to finish. Can’t wait for the next book this author brings out next. Happy reading!

I loved this book!! It may be one of my top 3 favorite Katy Evans books ever. Million Dollar Marriage was a fun, easy, sexy read with the right amount of sass and heat.

Luke Cross and Penelope Carpenter are both in debt and in desperate need for money. With no other options, they both agree to participate in a reality tv game show where strangers are required to marry and work together as a couple solving challenges around the world. (I kind of wish Million Dollar Marriage was a real show because I'd totally watch it.) I enjoyed the opposites attract element between these characters. Luke and Nell could not be any more different. She is well educated and a bit uptight. He is a bar owner with a less than stellar past. These two butted heads like crazy but it created the most delicious tension. I live for their push and pull. As the game went on, they definitely brought out best in each other.

I loved everything about this book. I devoured it in one sitting and I didn't want it to end. I highly recommend if your looking for a fun, low angst, sexy read with a game show element.

Katy Evans has been one of my OG's since she released the Manwhore Series. And I have been a fan ever since, most times I instantly gobble up whatever book she releases, Million-Dollar Marriage is no different.

I went into this book blind because I have not read the first book in the series, but it didn't hamper my reading. The story stars two individuals who couldn't be more different. I love a opposite-attract story-line when it is written the right way. And Katy did it just right!

Luke and Penelope are two people who are in deep financial dept. When they see a commercial announcing a new reality show that promises a million-dollars to the winner, they both sign up, even though they don't even know the premise of the show. It turns out to be a reality TV show that is a cross between Marriage At First Sight, The Amazing Race and The Bachelor/Bachelorette.

And it means that each contestant must agree to marry the person they are paired together with, all the while competing against eight other couples while doing challenges that test their newly establish connection or bond as well as their problem-solving skills and endurance.

During their run together lines are blurred and crossed. The chemistry sizzles like a steak on grill. It felt real and raw but be aware that it is a slow burner. The question is do they or don't they?

You can't ask for more in a story-line like this!

Another great story from Katy Evans, she's a go-to author for me and always meets my expectations of a good time.

Characters: Nell and Luke are the main characters of this reality show adventure. They were both interesting characters, who were multidimensional and these sides became more apparent as the story progressed.
Setting: The main setting is Atlanta as that’s where the story begins, but the nature of the reality show was that the setting shifted all over America constantly. This was really cool and really different as most books don’t do that.
Pacing: Good as always.
Romance: I loved the way these two characters fell in love as Nell was so resistant to giving herself to Luke. It felt so rewarding to see them grow close over the course of the reality show competition.

Oh WOW!! Luke and Nell are THE COUPLE that I just adored. I felt their chemistry from the get go. I knew this "act" was going to bloom into something more!

That is as much as a spoiler this review will provide. I loved Million Dollar Marriage was the "IT" book for me. Katy Evans delivers the huge show that everyone wants to win. I love how the main characters connect and eventually have you rooting for these two. Great read and I need MORE!

wo game-show or reality TV style stories recently and they've been so fun. Katy Evan's brings the Married at First Sight & The Great Race shows together in this story of love and money. Two unlikely characters forced to work together to get riches they could only dream about.

Luke and Penelope couldn't be any more different from each other. Luke Cross, the bartender and James 'Jimmy' Rowans best friend in Million Dollar Devil, is the epitome of your best friend and all around good guy with all the hotness to go along with it. He's been through his fair share of struggles in his life and is in dire need of some fast cash to get through his most recent revelation regarding his bar. What's a man like him to lose?

Dr. Penelope Carpenter, Ph.D. has exhausted her efforts in school and now is exhausted in debt. She'll do just about anything to get out of debt and try to move on with her life. Her parents have pushed her out on her own since she wouldn't follow in her father's footsteps and her boyfriend just dumped her. She's down on her luck but judging everything and everyone based on intellect. But when her and Luke cross paths at the game show try-outs, sparks fly high - even if Penny, Nell, Penelope (yes all three names show up throughout the story) denies it over and over again.

The big hairy Oaf and the nerdy brainiac make a pact to win this thing but it's tough going for them. They have so many obstacles to overcome, least of them being their feelings for each other. There were definitely some laugh out loud moments in this story. However, I won't lie, Penelope made me very angry at times and especially toward the end. But deep down Penny was just a shy, introvert who lacked confidence in herself because of her experiences with her father and boyfriend. She just needed that one person to build her up and make her believe in herself.

Katy has taken these past two Million Dollar stories and turned over confident men in to humble beings with the women they fall for. The women have been a bit on the unbearable side at times with their judgy-ness, but yet have the vulnerability of a woman who just needs the right boost to get where they need to be. These stories are definitely a opposites attract kind of couple.

THIS! This book is the perfect example of why I freakin' adore Katy Evans! I have been shamelessly following and collecting all of her books and their audios since Remy's first book Real released. Remy and then Malcolm (Manwhore series) hold a special place in heart. As do the rest of the heroes in those series. However, Luke now owns controlling interest. Gah he just is EVERYTHING my romance consuming heart needed when I dove in to this masterpiece.

Can I get a hallelujah for this creative plot - because it's fresh. The premise of a marriage reality show is unique and absolutely entertaining. These characters, though, is where it's at! Luke and Nell are utterly brilliant! Paired with Katy's impeccable writing this book is honestly one of my absolute favorite reads of hers. I read the entire book with a grin on my face. I picked it up every chance I could because I was dying to know what would happen next.

Luke is witty, sexy, strong and yet totally considerate and caring. He is down to earth, real about falling on hard times and there to win and save his bar. Nell is drowning in student loans. Where Nell is an over achiever in the intellect department, she definitely faces challenges socially and even more so athletically. She manages to be confident yet insecure at the same time. She is relatable and that made her transformation that much more intriguing. I couldn't have fathomed better characters with more spot on attributes to bring this story to life. BRILLIANT!

The pull and angst between these two unlikely contestants is delicious. They couldn't be more different yet they compliment each other which gave me hope. Their journey on the show is unexpectedly endeering. Excitement over load when they cross the finish line. The conclusion to the show and returning to the real world though was soul crushing.

Will fate lead these two love birds back together? I was rooting for them from the start. This entire story is perfectly paced and expertly executed. I feel it's Katy's best work yet.

3.5 Stars!

If you are a fan of the Bachelor and the Amazing Race, then this book is for you. Million Dollar Marriage combines both of these hit TV shows into one adventurous journey.

Once the contestants are chosen from hundreds of auditioners, the producers pair them up. They purposely couple the most unlikely to work well together, in order to create a television ratings extravaganza. These insanely matched couples compete against each other via crazy challenges and stunts, to hopefully be the winner of the grand prize, one million dollars. Oops, I forgot to mention that before they are eligible to compete, they must marry each other. This story is a true roller-coaster ride of adventure.

Nell Carpenter needs the winnings to pay off the tremendous amount of student loan debt she has accumulated. She just earned her doctorate, however, her various degrees do not provide many future earning opportunities. Nell is very smart, beautiful, and completely lacks self-confidence. Her college roommate is her best, and only friend. She is naive about most things, including the latest trends. Nell is coupled up with Luke Cross, a bad-boy and hottie, who will undoubtedly attract a ton of female viewers. Luke never finished high school, lived on the streets for two years after his parents kicked him out, had a drug problem, and served a little time in prison. He inherited his grandparents bar, and now he owes a ton of money to the bank because the bar was mortgaged to the hilt. Their forced marriage evolves into so much more.

I enjoyed this book by Katy Evans. It is a quick and fun read. This is the second book from the Million Dollar series and it can be read as a standalone.

Penelope (Nell) is much more comfortable staying at home studying for her PhD then going out and enjoying the single life. The only problem is that she finds herself drowning under her student loan debt and the only solution she can come up with is participating on a reality show where she marries a stranger and then has to live with him.

Luke is outgoing and enjoys the single life so managing the family bar is the perfect job for him. The only drawback is that it is struggling financially, and he needs to turn its fortunes around, the sooner the better. Participating in the reality show won’t only be profitable but it will be fun as well.

When Luke and Nell are matched together you have two opposites with one goal, what could possibly go wrong?

What was supposed to be a business arrangement takes a turn as the chemistry between them ignites. It was fun to watch Nell’s less serious side to emerge while Nell causes Luke to start thinking about more than the next fun experience and they balance each other off to perfection.

This is Survivor on steroids!

Imagine a reality show where you have a chance to win ONE MILLION DOLLARS if you successfully complete all the tasks they give. One catch. You and your partner must work together and complete all tasks together. Oh! A couple of rules: you MUST marry your partner, and your partner will be assigned. You cannot choose who you want to partner with. Easy, right?

Nell and Luke are two opposites that would NEVER be teamed together. She is the typical bookworm and over achiever with multiple college degrees and an insurmountable debt in college loans. Luke is a bartender for his own failing bar in debt to the hilt. The only thing they share is determination to win the $1M and move on.

I do not normally watch Reality shows. This book is entertaining, challenging, and gripping. What appealed to me from the beginning was potential for growth in both characters. As they team up and are forced to work together to achieve their goal, they both help each other grow and look at life differently. You must read this book!

I am voluntarily reviewing this book. Thanks to the author for sharing a copy with me.

Million Dollar Marriage by Katy Evans brings us the story about total opposites Luke and Nell and a reality tv show. With nothing else to lose, they separately decide to audition for a reality show where they could win one million dollars. Nell is drowning in student loan debt and thinks this may solve problems but she is the quiet and reserved girl, how could this work? Luke is facing the closure of his bar and will do anything to save it. They can survive a marriage if it means solving their problems, right? But they could not be any more different if they tried. And yet they find a way to connect and work together and before you know it, sparks are flying. This was such a fun and delightful read!

Happy reading!

I am clutching my heart swooning over Luke Cross & Penelope "Nell" Carpenter!

Seriously the cover, the blurb and I was totally suckered into finding out if this "marriage" could work.

Be ready for one hell of an adventure with these two characters.

I was rooting for Nell & Luke as they venture into getting to the end to get that Million Dollar Prize they both desperately need.

Fun Adventures, pent up chemistry that is off the charts hot, as well as both of these characters exploring themselves as well as each other.

I enjoyed how [author:Katy Evans|6997072] gives us characters we can relate to when it comes to self doubt in the actions we take into making what we think we should be doing.

A lot of self discovering with Luke & Nell in themselves as well as with each other.

Million Dollar Marriage is a next level read from Katy Evans! From the very first couple pages I knew it was another 5 star read. I fell in love with every aspect of this book! AMAZING!

I freakin' LOVED this story! It had chemistry, friction, adventure, and passion!

"Every part of him is so strong and masculine and begs to be adored; he's raw, dirty sex on a cracker."

Penelope AKA Nell Carpenter is a serial student! So much so that she's racked up quite a debt. Cerebral and serious but desperate, she auditions for a reality TV show, and is shocked as hell to be selected. What on earth has she gotten herself into? She's way outside her comfort zone. Especially when she gets paired up with the hot, dirty yeti?

"She looks up at me with those big blue eyes, and it gets me. Right there. In the heart, in my cock."

Luke Cross is on the verge of bankruptcy. His bar is failing and he didn't know that he'd also inherited a heap of mortgages with it. In desperation, he auditions for a reality TV show where he could win a million dollars. The minute he sets eyes on the nerdy girl with the big glasses and cute freckles, and giant textbook, he's wants her. However, it appears that she can't stand him. Even better when they are paired up together for the challenge of their lives.

"I kiss her. Tongue and teeth, hands and hair. Crush her lips with mine and devour her mouth like she's my last meal."

This was a hugely addictive read! I thought it was fun and thrilling. Luke and Nell were complete opposites in every way. Luke was an absolute sweetheart - he was honest, likeable and had a lot of integrity. He had excellent social skills and I adored his undeniable attraction to Nell. She, in contrast, was socially awkward, lacked a lot of self-confidence, but I loved how being with Luke helped her blossom. I loved her determination and her smarts.

This was a fabulous hot, hot read with a lot of character!

You would do anything for cash, right? How about marrying a stranger? Reality TV isn’t were Luke and Nell thought they would end up but with money on the line, anything is possible.

This was a cute story playing on our thirst of reality TV. At times the story was a little over the top and I was fine with that because as with reality TV, it needs to be a little crazy. Katy writes well and although this wasn’t a favorite, it was a cute “pallet cleanser” read.

I can actually say at this point that you can always read a good book with Katy Evans, this book is fantastic, Nell and Luke story was amazing. Nell is a smart girl but let's just say she has some issues. Luke appears in her life and their relationship begins within a TV reality show, opposites attract romance is one of my favorites and to see their journey it just made this book a great read. Absolutely a must read.

5 Stars!
Penelope "Nell" Carpenter is a 25 yr. old literature major living in Atlanta, Georgia who is deeply in debt with student loans. Out of options she decides to audition for a new hit reality show where the top prize is a million dollars. This could be just what will fix all her problems. The only issue is she's a nerdy introvert who is uptight, high strung, and socially awkward. This show is totally not her scene, and she would be completely out of her comfort zone, but she's desperate. That's how she finds herself saying "I do" to a stranger on national television.

Luke Cross is a gorgeous 28 yr. old guy who grew up in downtown Atlanta, and owns a bar that's in jeopardy of closing if he doesn't find a solution soon. Broke and up for anything, he jumps at the chance to save his bar. The show is a once in a lifetime opportunity, and he's excited to play the game.

When bad boy Luke and good girl Nell meet they are complete opposites. They are about as night and day as two people can get, but they must work together and think of the situation as a business arrangement, and nothing more. They are on a crazy adventure played out on tv for the entire world to see. Soon they are in it to win it, and don't want their time to end. As brains and brawn collide the passion between them is inevitable. As he teaches her to live in the moment, what is to be for show starts to feel so very real.

Million Dollar Marriage (Million Dollar #2) by Katy Evans was fabulous!!! We first meet Luke as Jimmy Rowan's best friend in Million Dollar Devil. He's the hot, tattooed, sexy beast, and Nell is the prim, proper, innocent rule follower. Opposites attract in this fun, lighthearted, story about falling in love. This was like the Bachelor and the Amazing Race mixed into one show. It was extremely entertaining, and full of adventure, emotion, and amazing chemistry!

Quirky, lighthearted and steamy story of opposites attracting.
What would you do to cover your debt?
Penelope aka Nell and Luke explore that concept and take on the challenge head on!! What they discover is more than they ever bargained!!
Both characters are truly opposites, head scratching huh?
But...their chemistry is undeniable and they fit in the strangest way. She’s socially awkward, nerdy and stuck up. He’s all alpha all brawn and something sometin else!!
Luke’s POV adds a little goodness to the story giving them both a lot of heart.
As they get into their agreed upon challenge they learn a lot more than the rules of the game.
Great fun read!

The circumstances of how they get together makes for one amazing read that has his ups and downs fabulous twists. The power of their attraction is what drives the story of the unlikely couple. Both of them trying to get out of their own problems but trying not to fall in love with one another. The passion and emotions in this book will bring you to tears and lift you up at the same time. A happy yet unexpected twist happy ending awaits you in this romance. This is yet another hit for Katy Evans!
