I typically do not like reading crime thrillers and I was very apprehensive about reading this title, but it surprised me greatly. I was pulled into the drama and mysterious happenings of Marty Michaels', a successful radio personality, life. When Marty discovers himself awakening groggily and nauseated in a hotel room with no recollection of how he got there and then stumbles across a dead woman's body in the bathroom, I was hooked. This book was thrillingly fast paced and I did not want to put it down even when sleep was beckoning me. I kept looking for clues alongside Marty to try and figure out who had framed him for murder. Was it someone in his close-knit circle of celebrity and high-status position friends or someone much more sinister and dangerous? As a radio celebrity, Marty had made quite a few enemies in the span of 20 years on the COMCO network. Would Marty be able to prove his innocence before he lost it all, fame, power, and money? Or would whoever setting him up for failure not stop until he was dead? This book is one rollercoaster of a ride and I could clearly see each scene displayed in my mind as if I were watching an action packed movie as I read each line. I do not think five stars is a high enough ranking for a book that kept me coming back for more. This read was simply superb. Kudos to the author and thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this amazing book.
