I loved loved loved this book, having watched the film a while ago I was excited to finally get the chance to read this book and can definitely confirm that the book is a million times better! Even though it is heart wrenching at times it also had me laughing out loud throughout, a truly heartwarming, lovely book.

My expectations were high because of how popular this story is, but once again I should have followed my head regarding prior attempts of this author. I didn't really care about the characters, the ending was such a let-down... Below average read.

With thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for the arc, which I have enjoyed reading.
I read this book many years ago and looked forward to reading this again and then reading the sequel, Postscript. It is a glorious book with what seems to be at first, very sad storyline. The storyline is about the love and marriage of Gerry and Holly and about Gerry’s death because of a brain tumour at 30.
P S I Love You is the tale of Holly’s journey through the death of Gerry to the next 12 months, helped by the monthly messages Gerry leaves for Holly to read at monthly intervals. Holly is helped by her family and her friends and along the way finds herself grieving and growing as a person in her own right.
It is a wonderful book with a provoking storyline which is dealt with sensitively by Celia Ahern. I am looking forward to reading Postscripts for what happens next.
Highly recommended.

Wow what a amazing story, it is definitely a feel good, laugh out loud story but also heartbreaking and crying anywhere kind off book. The characters are described so well that it makes you feel they are part of your friends and family. Definitely a book to read again and again.

Read this for the first time more than 10 years ago, and I'm so glad to have been given the chance by Netgalley to read this now, ahead of reading Postscript (the sequel to P.S. I Love You).

It was like reading it for the first time, as I found my memories of this book was very vague. One thing I remembered though was that this book was a tear jerker, and it did it for me again this time.

What a journey Holly went through... was it a blessing or a torture, the letters that Gerry left her? They certainly helped Holly through the difficult times and helped her grow and mature as a person.

Really looking forward to seeing what Postcript brings...

This book as well as the movie is one of my all time favourite books ever.
Not only for the characters but for the realistic story behind this. Everything it's so raw and well done, from the writing to the grief and exploring those feelings.
I just love every single second of this story

Holly and Gerry had a wonderful, but short life together. Before Gerry died he wrote Holly a series of letters to be opened every month to help her move on without him. Her friends, family and letters from her husband Gerry help Holly get through her grief.

It’s a light hearted story and has lots of funny moments to make you smile.

It makes you realise how precious and short life can be and how every moment should be enjoyed. From every heartbreak and tragedy life goes on slowly minute by minute, day by day.

I enjoyed reading this wonderful book again. Definitely an absolute favourite of mine.

I read this back when it was first published and I loved it. I will confess it made me sob and sob but it’s a beautifully written book that shows just what true love can be like. I’ve just reread it ahead of the publication of the sequel Postscript and it was as good a read this time as it was then. Just lovely.

A truly wonderful, story about love, life, death and the aftermath of great loss, when your loving partner dies.

Coping with it all, while being led on a journey of emotionally loving heartbreak, wonder, renewal and new found love and enjoyment of life.

All helped along by the love and guidance of the one that has departed.

This read will lead you on a journey of emotions, making you laugh, cry, wonder about the meaning of life death and beyond.

It will leave you hoping that you are also loved and cherished as deeply, and missed.

A great love story from both sides of the grave.

A warm glow will reside in your heart, that love is all powerful and we should all appreciate it's existence, as without it what are we?

Just loved this story.

Who doesn’t love this book?
It’s one of my all time favourites and I enjoyed reading it again knowing the sequel is coming soon!

I find it moving and emotional and hard to keep my tears and laughter inside when reading this. A great piece of writing, fully recommended to those who enjoy romantic novels with a depth and twist on the standard trope.

Thank you for the e copy!

Its a great one to catch up on with the advent of the sequel 'Postcript' coming soon. I have also been lucky enough to read the first chapter of 'Postcript' and cant wait

So, the premise of the book - dealing with romance and the aftermath of grief. A wonderful book - well written, rounded characters that you really care about

Highly recommend as a holiday read but also for book club

A firm favourite of mine

A very good novel for this genre. Don’t be put off by the popularity but also, don’t expect the complete works of Jane Austen. I laughed; I cried; I got a bit fed up with some of the things that happened and some of the characters. This is what you want in a novel like this, right?

There’s always that book that sits with you for the rest of your life, you know when you read it, you know who suggested it to you. For me, it was in response to me flinging the novel Jaws across the room at 3am when I’d finished it. I’d just handed in my final coursework only a day ago so the summer was all mine.
My best friend herd me mutter at the book and came down with PS I Love You. It’s sad, but good and mostly, it does what it says on the tin.
Boy, she was right. I started it there and then, I read it while getting my hair cut and I do believe I sent my boyfriend at the time away so I could finish it.

Perfectly written, beautifully bittersweet and a book I always recommend.

I have read several Cecelia aherne books and looked forward to this read, as it was a subject that touched my heart and I felt it was sensitively written with compassion and tenderness, however I did feel that it was slightly slow and did drag in places, so for this reason it’s not my favourite cecilia book, maybe my judgement was clouded slightly by watching the film first which is something I never normally do.

A beautiful, well written book that I will remember for a long time with excellent characters.

I can thoroughly recommend this book, well done Cecelia.

Thank you to Netgalley and Harper Collins UK for giving me the opportunity to read this book.

I adored this book, I went through god knows how many tissues. This is the kind of book that hurts you and makes you happy, it’s a killer but in a good way.

Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for a free copy for an honest opinion
