Lee Gregg’s Fool’s Bluff is definitely an awesome read. I have to say that it did not have a lot of the suspense you would normally see but it definitely makes up in other ways to keep you enthralled and entertained. When a group goes to the top of a beautiful mountain and comes back one short, The hunt for the missing hiker only makes things worse when secrets start to be uncovered. I thought that when the hiker was found in the middle of the book that the story was going to change and I would be left wondering why. Not so…… this was the farthest from the truth. As I continued to read, more about the secrets kept continued to pour out. The authors characters were very likable, humorous, and worked well together. I actually read this one a second time. Very easily read and you can tell the author put a great deal of thought into this.

A suspenseful read, Fool's Bluff had me guessing until the very end. What a great story! Can't wait to read more by this author in the future.

I believed this was a book about adults in a similar situation and as I began reading, although an interesting premise, found I could not relate to the very young adult main characters. I would like to thank you for the opportunity of reading this book but will not finish reading at this time and as I did not finish, will not be providing a review.

This is Lee Gregg's first book in the Samantha Shepherd Mystery series. It is excellent! In fact, I kept forgetting that the main characters were high school students because the storyline was so intense. It is a book of today's teenagers solving a mystery...a terrible mystery, as compared to the old school mysteries that I read as a teen and pre-teen. I will definitely be looking for the next in the series.

This was an enjoyable read, with just enough twists and turns to make me want to keep reading. I thought I knew what was going on, but I wasn't always right.

I liked the characters and I hope to see another book featuring Samantha and her dog. This was a nice start to getting to know her.

Friendships and family relationships are difficult and often filled with drama. The book is a story that looks at some twisted relationships and some positive ones. How far will someone go to be noticed? And how much does social media play into those teen years? I thought the story was well done. The twist at the end was unexpected.

FOOL'S BLUFF was not what I expected. I thought that it was going to be your run of the mill mystery novel but this was not. It was so much more, I enjoyed every page.

I found that this book was an easy read, which left me wanting to read more of Lee Gregg's work.

I also enjoyed reading a mystery that hooked me without even trying to. I look forward to reading this again and telling people about this book.

“Fools Bluff” is Lee Greggs first book in the Samantha Shepherd mystery series. An interesting, suspenseful mystery book with well defined characters.
Thank you to NetGallery and Lee Gregg for the opportunity to read and review “Fools Bluff.”

Fool's Bluff is the first book in the Samantha Shepherd mystery series. I found this to be a good mystery book. None of the high voltage drama and psychological thrill, but still manages to be pretty captivating.
Samantha Shepherd leads a group of six up a mountain for the annual Challenge. Two days later, she comes down with only five, after one backpacker vanishes. As Sam’s search for her missing hiker takes her into ever-more threatening terrain, she uncovers secrets never meant to be revealed.
Fool's Bluff is a light mystery/suspense book and at times I found myself drawing comparisons to The Famous Five & The Five Find-Outers with the dog and everything. One-Thirds through the book after the hiker was found, I thought that I'd lose in the mystery because wasn't that the premise of this book? I was a bit disappointed that the hiker was found so fast (blame it on the darker psychological thrillers I've been reading), but fortunately the story manages to keep the suspense going. I liked all the characters of this book especially Penelope "Pips" & Drew. Together with Sam and the rest of the crew, they're entertaining & amusing! The setting of this book in the beautiful Glacier Village and reading about Sam's passion for mountaineering is also something I enjoyed!
Thank you, NetGalley, Kobo Writing Life & Lee Gregg for an arc!

This is my first read by this author and I found it a great read. I would definitely pick up the next book in the series. Lots of twists and turns and high suspense in parts. I wanted to know what was going on so kept reading. Recommended.

This book is easy to read, and with a clear timeline and an OK plot, but it's just not captivating. Descriptions of characters are not very good, and everything seems a little strange.
