This book is illustrated with simple pictures but the he message behind them is TRY! It gives lots of ideas of things that you can try. It makes children think about what they can try for the first time. It gives them the confidence to try things they have never done before and what joy it can bring.

Nice little book of encouragement for kids to try new things and not to give up on their interests, but to keep trying! Practice makes perfect and how do you know whether you'll like something or not if you don't try it! Good book for littles.

I received an electronic ARC from Schiffer Publishing through NetGalley.
DiMare weaves a story about failure and success and most importantly, trying new things. The book encourages readers to try so many things and find what they enjoy.
Interactive final pages for readers - create lists of things to try, things you have tried, and directions for various things to try.
Encouraging text. Use to encourage elementary students to explore options and try new things.

Try is such a delightful picture book to share with students at the beginning and end of the year. Try reminds children that nothing will change if we just sit there and wish, but we have to go out and try to live our dreams. The book gives lots of ideas and reminds the reader to not let others get in the way of your dreams. I loved the story line and illustrations, but the end pages were wonderful! The space to add your own list of things you want to try and directions for how to try some of the ideas in the book was amazing. I look forward to sharing this book with students next year.

Try is a feel good book that will encourage students in the classroom. It has a positive message and the illustrations are just delightful. Some great activities that goes along with the story. A must for elementary students to build self esteem. I will use in my third grade classroom.

I loved the message in this book - try it all! The illustrations are fun and colorful and I'm always partial to stories that rhyme. But I found some parts a bit preachy: "Don't push your dreams aside. If you open your eyes, you just might be surprised." But kids are likely to focus on the fun rhymes and delightfully silly illustrations.

Try is beautifully illustrated children's picture book that shares the powerful message of believing in your dreams and giving your best effort. Not giving up, even when something feels tough is something we talk a lot about with our children and they adored these gorgeous illustrations that helped share this message in such a lighthearted but also very compelling manner.

The fill in your own answers section at the end of the book was a wonderful addition to this book and I love the idea of including things you want to do and also things you have already tried. This was a great way of thinking about goals and dreams while also recognizing the hard one you have already worked so hard on.

Thank you to NetGalley and Schiffer Publishing for a copy of this ebook in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

I wish I had this book when I was a kid, encouraging children to dream ,believe and most of all try should be encouraged 100% this was well illustrated with colourful appealing pictures that fit the message perfectly. I loved the fact it says to never give up and also the exercise at the end of the book. This should be required reading for al, parents to their children and also a lot of adults need this for themselves
