I love book full of angst. But towards two third of the book, I thought the angst went on too long, why can’t Hannah and Sasha just get back together?!

Perfectly readable though some cringe-worthy dialogue when it comes to the sex scenes (you really don't HAVE to say 'baby' after every sentence) which are mildly exciting. Not my type of story generally but nice to read something a bit different. The type of easy-romance that many people will lap up.

I enjoyed this second chance storyline. As one half of a longterm relationship, sometimes it made me uncomfortable. Clearly, the story felt real enough that I could commiserate. The writing is good and anything from this author is a safe bet for enjoyable reading.

A familiar plot nicely handled by the author. Mature main characters Sasha and Hannah star in this second-chance romance. The angst, emotional ups and down, scenarios of health problems and some sex scenes added to a fairly realistic storyline but the end seemed somewhat abrupt. Ms. Black however, remains on my Favourite Author list. 3.5 stars.

Oh The Unnecessary Drama!
When I read the description of the story, I was intrigued on how the relationship between the main characters, Sasha and Hannah, would play out. The author does a good job of providing some insight into what led to the break-up. However, the rest of the story is a bit under-whelming as there seems to be some rather unnecessary drama. For starters, both characters are quick to be distraught when simple communication could easily have resolved the issues they were having with their relationship. Then, when Sasha decides to start dating Charlie, there is such a change in Charlie from being nice to having appalling behavior. Once Sasha breaks up with Charlie, Heidi, the woman Sasha dated after Charlie, wasn't any better but I guess both women served as a reminder to Sasha to appreciate what she had in Hannah. I did appreciate that the love interest for Hannah was much better, because it would have been too convenient to have all the women that the main characters were dating have so many flaws! Additionally, Sasha spends some time casing the house or checking to see who Hannah is dating even after saying she does not want a relationship with Hannah - come on! After all the back and forth, it was good to see both women figure out that they'd rather be with each other than anyone else.

I was hooked on this story from the very first page. I immediately found myself caring about Sasha and Hannah and wanted them back together. I was disappointed in some of their experimentation with dates but probably normal behavior.
Both Sasha and Hannah have these terrible medical conditions. One current and one in the past. One draws them closer and one pulls them apart.
I was a bit disappointed in the way they were united. Sort of like they were scolded by their son and all became clear...really?
And whatever happened to Sasha's medical problem? Weren't we waiting for lab results?
So I really liked most of the story. But I was disappointed in the wrap up.
And the cover does not suit the bulk of storyline and is very misleading. It only makes sense through a statement in the epilogue.

This novel is how a couple can drift apart after being together for years and a sudden change to one of them can bring them back together. It is well written and heart wrenching book about Hannah and Sasha and how they deal with the break up and the beginnings of a new relationship between them. It is a captivating read from beginning to end.
I would highly recommend this.

Sasha has been with Hannah for many years, but recently their relationship hasn't been fulfilling. Although they're now separated, when Sasha falls ill, she has no one to turn to except for Hannah. Hannah is struggling with depression after a dealing with breast cancer, but she as she comes to take care of Sasha in her time of need, she begins to realize she might still be in love with Sasha. Will she be able to win her back or is it too late for the long time couple.

My expectations were all over the place for this book, from the cover and the synopsis, so it took a bit to put aside those expectations and get into the book. The pacing was really fast, and went back and forth a lot. I didn't really feel the chemistry or the affection between the two mains. Hannah was a great character and so was her son - they definitely kept me reading but it was a struggle.

Judging this book by its proverbial cover, I was expecting a light-hearted, sweet but hot (hey, it's Ronica Black) romance. And it wasn't that at all. It's definitely a second-chance romance, but there were so many loose ends that didn't get neatly tied up. Sasha's kidney disease ... that's a pretty specific disease that's rarely mentioned in this genre. I would've liked more detail about that - was it recent onset, hereditary, etc. And Hannah's son Casey ... what's his story? If he's 18 and Hannah has been with Sasha for 15 years, where did he come from? What happened to his other parent? He seems like a great character and his relationship with Sasha was adorable. But his "situation" seemed like a waste of paper to me. Basically, I didn't buy the "still in love" feelings between Hannah and Sasha. Structurally the book was well written and well edited, so I feel certain that this was the book Ms Black meant to write. It just wasn't for me.

I felt like the title of this book should have been "Sasha couldn't make up her $%^& mind!" Really, she just kept going back and forth all book. I really like this author but I could not get into this one.

Hannah is still reeling from a double mastectomy yers prior, she's become depressed and her partner Sasha has recently separated from her. However, when Sasha falls ill, she turns to Hannah for help and support. The two women struggle with old wounds and try to move forward dating new people, but their feelings for each other has never really faded away. Can Hannah show Sasha she's changed? Can Sasha trust and open her heart to Hannah once more? Or are they destined to go their separate ways?

I ended up liking this book well enough. There was something about Hannah's character and her son Casey that kept me reading, but I didn't much connect to Sasha's character or the plot. I felt like there was way too much happening too fast, too up and down/back and forth, to really connect to the story and relationship. I know we also shouldn't judge a book by its cover, but the cover was definitely misleading. It made me feel a little disconnected from the beginning of the story because I kept waiting for something resembling the cover to happen. I feel like there was so much potential for deep emotions, showing Hannah's depression and Sasha's feelings about her health struggles, but it was actually very surface descriptions. Still, I enjoyed the writing style, loved Hannah and Casey, and really enjoyed what the secondary characters brought to the book.

This is actually my first book by Ronica Black, but I would be open to reading more in the future.

I usually enjoy this author but I have to say this was not one of her best. The two main characters were quite tricky to like and empathise with which made it hard to care about their individual dilemmas. Then when I did start to have some empathy for them, I started shouting at the book for the way that they were so poor at communicating with each other. They were both given other love interests but one had a sudden personality change which felt like a convenient way to get rid of her. I was also frustrated that one of the main characters had to lose weight in order to be 'hot' again, this feels like such an old trope. I much prefer her action books and would recommend those over this misfire.

Facebook centers around the characters of Hannah and Sasha, who have been together for 15 years and are jointly raising Casey, Hannah ‘s 16 year old son. In the last few years much is changed within the relationship of the two women ever since Hannah was diagnosed with breast cancer which changed her life significantly. She was always a healthy energetic athletic woman Who felt like her life has ended and kept distancing herself from Sasha. She began drinking heavily and hanging out with friends who encouraged her negative spiral by their behavior. As Sasha sat in a restaurant for their 15th anniversary dinner and Hannah did not show up, Sasha made a decision to leave the relationship as hard as that may be because she did not want to be taken down and neglect by Hannah and her drinking.
Sasha is determined to move on with her life independent of Hannah however when the health crisis struck Sasha the person she reached out to was Hannah. Hannah by this time knew what she lost and Sasha and was trying to do everything in her power to win her back. Sasha wanted no part of it even though deep down she still loved her deeply. The person who was determined to get his parents back together was Casey but suddenly Casey had a crisis in his life Ann needed both of his parents, neither of whom seemed available to him.
Hannah stop drinking and was working hard to get back to the physical person she was before breast cancer and she was being successful in this endeavor. Sasha notices the difference in Hana but in her stubbornness decide she’s going to continue to move on with her life. Both women become devastated when they realized that the other was dating someone else. Was Casey ever going to be successful in getting his parents back ? Can these two women confess they still love each other deeply?
This was a very pleasant read and the outcome of the story was not evident until the very end of the story which is something that I liked. The author did a good job developing each of the characters in the story and made their relatable.

The Last Seduction isn’t your typical romance and that made it a refreshing change.. Hannah and Sasha have split after 16 years, raising a son, and surviving a breast cancer scare in Hannah. As their lives go their separate ways, the thin tendrils that have woven them together are gradually falling away, or are they? The book centers around this theme while fate tosses challenges that make them rethink their separation. At times it is difficult to like either character or her decisions, but one thing this book doesn’t lack is the intense emotions they still have for each other despite everything. An interesting read and a refreshing departure from the usual romance tropes, indeed. I received a copy from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

There is a big difference between falling in love and being in love. This is a read about various topics related to a long term relationship. I appreciated the topic and related issues. Difficult story to tell with some hard to believe portions but oh well, it is a story.

I think Ronica Black writes good sex scenes, which is why I was interested in this new book. Granted I also think her characters often talk in porno dialogue while having sex, I still enjoy the way she writes it. I liked the idea of the plot: Sasha needs medical care and turns to her ex Hannah for help because she has no one else. Sounded angsty and reminded me of Erin Dutton’s Capturing Forever a little. Plus I was looking forward to the sex. However, the book doesn’t exactly line up with the description. A more accurate summary might be: Sasha, who is struggling with some health issues, attempts to get over her ex Hannah, who is also trying to get over Sasha. There is lots of sex between anyone but our leading ladies. There is a son who is never explained very well (he calls Hannah mom and Sasha by name). There are badly behaved best friends. The plot felt convoluted. There were times I didn’t understand how Sasha was able to do all she was with her condition, which was never explained well and then seemingly disappeared? So, this is all to say. Ronica Black still write decent erotica. There’s something fun about her incredibly horny characters. I like them. Hannah Carter’s world was turned upside down when she had a double mastectomy surgery. She went home a changed person. Not only did her body feel different but so did her personality. Gone was the woman who loved her partner of fifteen years. Instead of turning to her lover and son for the support they both wanted to give she turned into herself. Now she just wanted to run the other way. She did this by drinking too much and forgetting the little things that make a relationship work.
Sasha Bashton had her own health problems and trying to work on her relationship with Hannah by herself just wasn’t working. She had enough. Even though she still loved Hannah she didn’t feel like she was getting the love she needed from her partner. So she tries to move on, packing her belongings she moves in with her friend Bonnie.
This is one of the better books I’ve read. I love a book that you can’t wait to see what happens next. Yes they do of course get back together but not without taking some detours along the way. They both travel down roads that they had never imagined taking. Throw in some drama with Hannah’s son and you have yourself a really interesting read.
Ms Black has given us some nice reads before but there is something about this one that stands out, making this one of her best. A very, very nice read.

This one is a little hard for me rate. I actually enjoyed this book but that may be because I was a little prepared for what was in store by reading other reviews. Not that it clouded my judgment but it gave me an idea in how to take the characters. Turth be told based on how the two mains acted, I felt they should have been in their mid to late thirties and forties, not forty and fifty and not after experiencing life altering illnesses. But whatever, everyone is different.

Now, the blurb really doesn't give much about the story. Its more than that and I will say that Sasha was a little bit trampy in this book considering what she really wanted. And neither character, though I am never a fan of main character hooking up with anyone besides who I deem is worthy which FYI is only each other, had a right to judge who the other dated. The story was actually a good one and I really enjoyed the journey. However, I felt the ending happened too fast. And Hannah and Sasha after being and acting how they were solved everything too fast. I would have liked a dating period on honestly. So...I give this 4 stars mainly cause I enjoyed it, the characters were beyond flawed and idiots but enjoyable ones for me, and it ended in a way happily. Also, the book cover (though very nice and inviting) has nothing to really do with the book until the very end and still it really doesn't.

This was a very pleasant book to read. The development of the story felt very organic. I enjoyed reading the twists and turns these two women went through.

Throughout the story, the anticipation of will they wont they was there. I would recommend this book if you are looking for something a little deeper than the usual romance, with the expected outcome.

I received this through net galley. The cover of the book kinda threw me off as to the seriousness of the book. In short its about breaking up and finding each other again. Though it is very well written some of what happened I just could not buy into. That being said it was still a grat read and this being my first book by this person I will look forward to reading more of her works. This book is well worth your time.
