Tansy is a fashion buyer with a keen eye for the next great style. Her boyfriend, Renzo, broke up suddenly broke up with her after finding out some information that he didn’t like about her. Tansy decides that she will get him back. Tansy’s is relatable despite the behaviors that make you want to shake her. Overall, It’s Not You It’s Him was entertaining.

So this is a great book to read if you love Sophie Kinsella\Madeline Wickham’s books. We habpve a flawed heroine who is working so hard to have a life she thinks she wants and we see that she’s not really happy no matter how much she argues she is. I love that this is a romance title but that the author focuses most on her relationship with herself over an actual love match, it’s just refreshing to read a story like this instead of the more formulaic plots.

I am really looking forward to reading more from Sophie Ranald in the future after reading this title!

This RomCom follows a London girl on a mission to get the ex back. Tansy is a fashion buyer for an online realtor and she was recently dumped by her ex Renzo. She plots to get him back. Her plan to get him back has her realizing maybe it wasn’t him she wanted or needed.

I really enjoyed the characters in the story. I also generally love stories set in London because I can feel the vibe of the city as I read. I know the streets they’re walking on, what the bars they’re speaking about might look like and it’s my favourite city on earth so why wouldn’t I love it? I will say that it was a bit wordy, the story jumped a lot and there were a couple major storylines to follow so as you’re getting into one storyline another would pop up and you’d have a long wait to find out what happened in the earlier story. Still it was cute.

I hadn’t read the first book of this series, so feel I can’t give it a negative review. However, I did struggle to read the book. The cover appealed to me (tut tut as we all know the old saying about judging a book...) but I didn’t enjoy the storyline unfortunately.

At first I had a hard time reading this book then I found out that it was actually a continuation of another book. So I read the first book called Sorry Not Sorry which is Charlotte's story. It made me more excited about Tansy's story and made this book much more enjoyable. I would highly recommend reading Sorry Not Sorry before you dive into this book. If you read it as a stand alone, don't give up on it too quickly because it truly is a great book! I am grateful to Netgalley and the publishers for the opportunity to read an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I really tried to finish this book so I could give it an accurate review however I did not find it capturing enough to keep me entertained to finish.

I am no longer interested in the content of this book. So, I'm DNF'ing this book for now. I may circle back around to this book one day.

This book was a bit disappointing to me. I thought it was going to be something like Bridget Jones books, funny and charming with a touching side, but I couldn't find the funny side of the story. I have to say that I was looking for a funny book with a main romance, so maybe the book was a little disappointing because I expected another thing.
Although I liked the main character, Tansy, for me she's a sad character. I know she has an awful past and I think it's great you can see a main character with real problems but I couldn't connect with her and her obsession with Renzo, a man I didn't like at the beginning and hated at the end of the book.
On the other hand, Josh is absolutely marvelous but it's a pity we almost cannot see his relationship with Tansy and what a wonderful man he is.
The book is well written but the reading didn't hook me, I really couldn't connect with the whole story although I tried very hard.
However, I think Sophie Ranald can write and I'm going to read more of her work.

So the title is what got me. I don’t really read romance or women’s fiction a lot. It was a good book. Not sure if I would read more in this genre but this one was ok.

This book left a bad taste in my mouth. The premise made me want to shake Tansy and tell her she was better than this, don't go crazy over some guy AND hurt other people in the process! In the end, she comes to her senses but it took entirely too long. But some of the characters make the read worthwhile. Ranald's 'It's Not You, It's Him' will be a fun read for those readers in similar situations.

This was a lot of fun and perfect for the beach! Really refreshing with a different character backstory and dilemma than the usual tropes but it still followed the romantic and friendship trope well, which I always enjoy.

Lots of lovely moments but not necessarily a laugh out loud novel, just an enjoyable and engaging. Looking forward to reading more of Sophies Ranald's books!

Unfortunately I didn’t enjoy this one. I didn’t like the cover I found it quite dull and boring however the blurb did interest me to w certain extent. I didn’t get the humour of the book and I found myself skim reading this book once I’d got half way through it. Sadly not one that I would recommend.

I would like to thank the publisher for granting me a chance to read this book by Sophie Ranald. It was a joy to get lost into it. It was a refreshing take on the romance tropes and I'm glad I picked it up!

Cute, fun read! (It took me a little bit of time to figure out it was the continuation of the first book though! I'd recommend reading that first.) It is a bit angst-y at times, but that is expected after a breakup. I love the characters in this book and am looking forward to more from this author!

It took me way too long to realize this was basically a continuation to Sorry Not Sorry by the same author. Half of the book I was like... This sounds exactly like something I have read before with the neighbours who have a cat and a housemate who is obsessed with said cat. I only realized after finishing it and reading the author's notes that it's the same characters. Oops. I read a lot, what can I say! And a lot of the books are in one ear-out the other when it comes to me, unfortunately. Especially these kinds of feel-good books that don't take that long to finish all-in-all.

Anywho, I quite enjoyed this when I finally got the time to read more than five pages at a time! The characters are lovable, charming (some not so much in the end), funny... And the character development leaves you feeling really optimistic which I liked.

One thing that did leave me confused was the whole "fake boyfriend" thing. I was left with the impression Josh knew about it all when he kissed her, but then he freaked out? I must've misunderstood, I guess.

Altogether, it's a fun and quick read! I'd definitely read more about these characters if I was given the chance.

A cute rom-com that is a lot of fun to read. Did it make me laugh out loud like the title description suggests? No. But it was definitely cute enough to not want to put it down. I loved the setting, loved the friends and hated the boyfriend/ex-boyfriend (but isn't that the point?) All the elements of the main characters story worked to make her well-rounded, easy to love, and didn't feel like they were just thrown into make up a story. I also loved the side story of the girl she was mentoring and how they added in an important piece like the sewing group.

This book was definitely enjoyable enough for me to seek out her first book. I love when a writer uses minor characters in one story as the main character in another, it's great reading about a group of friends without it always being from the perspective of the same person. This was great summer reading.and the perfect book for me to take along on vacation.

I'm not normally a reader of chic lit type books but I decided to give this a go as I was intrigued by the blurb. However, this more of a pull on your heartstrings kind of chic lit. I found this to be a well written book. I absolutely adored the characters, which is unusual for me. Despite its low moments, the book had many funny moments that kept me interested.

A fun, refreshing romance with endearing characters and just the right amount of angst. This was a new to me author and I really enjoyed the writing style.

We meet Tansy on New Year’s Eve as she is recovering from a devastating break up from Renzo. Her resolution for the year ahead? To get him back!
Meanwhile Tansy’s career and family life are causing her worry. She enjoys her job but her boss is a nightmare. She is struggling financially as all her friends have way more money than she does and she is trying to keep up. Heartbreakingly, her mum is supporting her dad’s gambling addiction so Tansy feels obliged to send home money to keep the family afloat.
Right from the start, we know that Tansy could do SOOOOO much better than Renzo and are desperate for her to see her own worth rather than chasing after a man who doesn’t deserve her.
The blurb desribes It’s Not You It’s Him as hilarious and whilst I agree that it has a lot of humour, it is so much deeper than that.
Many of us have been through bad break ups and found it difficult to move on and this is really well described by the author. There are also chapters dedicated to her dates with Renzo and I just wanted to scream with frustration at the way she allows herself to be treated.
This is such an emotional book due to the chapters dedicated to her miserable school days. Sophie Ranald accurately and devastatingly evokes those hideous days of feeling excluded and inadequate, as well as the cruelty of teenagers.

This was overall a fun and cute story. I really liked the romance and the different approaches one can have towards love and relationships. The friendships were also pretty cute.

I wouldn't say it's one of my favorite books, I but I enjoyed my time reading it.
