Cassie Bailey was put to bed by her mother. When her mother, Naomi, wakes up the next morning, she’s gone. But who took her? Was it her cheating husband hoping to see his daughter again? Her mother in law, desperate to see her only grandchild? Jessica, the woman who Charlie recently cheated with? Or someone else? Or what if she’s just wandered off by herself?

This was an interesting read with a great plot. I did figure it out early on but I had no idea why. The why was a great twist but it was fairly easy to guess the who and how.

Overall I enjoyed this book. Domestic thrillers are almost always a bit of fun and guesswork for me and this ticked the boxes.

This was a very suspenseful novel that was based around every mother’s nightmare. What happens when your child disappears during the night? Did she walk away or is there something more malicious going on? Will keep you on the edge of your seat!

My honest opinion - I am very tired today because this book was so good it kept me up reading way late into the night! If you like books that keep you guessing with all the twists and turns, this one is definitely for you! And as a mother of two little girls, I became emotionally invested in the outcome of this one. The author, J.G. Roberts, is new to me but I definitely look forward to reading future books to come in this series and genre. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a good mystery. I really don't have anything bad to say about this book. I was a little disappointed at one point because I thought I had guessed the ending pretty early in the book - but nope, the twists and turns just kept on coming. Read this book!! Huge thanks to the publisher and the author for the privilege of reading this one!

A fast pace domestic thriller that will have you hooked. Full of twists, an emotional read. Really looking forward to the next in the series.

A lovely thriller to get your teeth stuck in.

I was excited to read this after the blurb and I enjoyed it a lot. The story was compelling and it kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time.

When five year old Cassie Bailey goes missing from her family home during the night her parents immediately become the prime suspects. Cassie’s parents, Naomi and Charlie had recently separated just five weeks earlier and Charlie was living back home with his mother.

DCI Rachel Hart leads the investigation knowing her personal past involving child abduction could emotionally and potentially cloud her judgment in this case.

The story evolves into more than expected with some interesting twists in this crime thriller. Little Girl Missing was a well written story and very engaging. It was an easy and enjoyable read and one of those stories you can’t put down.

I look forward to read other books in the DCI Rachel Hart Series as I’m sure we’ll learn more about Rachel’s mysterious past as the remaining two books are released.

Naomi “Noms” Bailey is so blinded by anger, she won't even listen to her husband Charlie's explanation of what really happened in the bar that night. Drama Queen. She throws Charlie out of the house and now five weeks later their five-year-old daughter Cassie is missing. Noms has a melt down, Charlie is trying very hard and Charlie's mum is a gem through it all.

DCI Rachel Hart and her team are on the case. With the parents acting suspiciously, the police follow several false leads.

Although I knew early on who kidnapped Cassie, it was still a well written story, if a little thin on the plotting. Rachel is a worrier and a little hard to take at times. She seems to be all over the place and is suspicious of everyone involved in the case – except the person she should suspect. Perhaps a little too quick to jump to conclusions. Bottom line is that this book illustrates well the sheer and awful hell that parents and loved ones go through when a child goes missing.

Omg this book kept me hooked. Just imagining the pain of your child missing is unbearable. Wasn't expecting that twist on who did it. So looking forward to reading more from this author!!
Amazing from start to finish!

Little Girl Missing (DCI Rachel Hart Book 1) by J.G. Roberts is a gripping domestic thriller that had me engaged from the word go. This is the first book of a series centred on DCI Rachel Hart, and I cannot wait to read more.

When five year old Cassie Bailey goes missing from her own home, the little girl's family become the prime suspects. Parents Naomi and Charlie have recently separated and Charlie is living with his mother, Hazel, at the time of the abduction. Naomi has been shattered by her husband's infidelity, and has denied he and Hazel access to the little girl. Are they somehow involved in the abduction? Or are external and more sinister motives afoot?

DCI Rachel Hart leads the investigation and quickly establishes herself as a formidable player in the police procedural, and someone who is worthy of further investigation in her own right. An intriguing backstory is teased throughout the novel, and I am anxious to learn more of Rachel's personal history.

This is my first read of this author and it didn’t disappoint. A real twist and turn tale that pulls you along for the ride. I am looking forward to the next two in the series.

A very interesting read . Twists and turns to keep you engrossed. Wondering which way the author is going to take it. Nice and easy to read. Flows well. Enjoyable to read

This is the first in a three book series featuring DCI Rachel Hart and, if this is anything to go by, the other two will be well worth waiting for.

When Naomi Bailey's marriage begins to crumble she thinks life can't get any worse until her five year old daughter Cassie disappears and her world falls apart. DCI Hart has experienced the pain of an abducted child before and knows how vital it is to stay on top of everything. The stresses of doing so while conducting a successful investigation are very well written and I was hooked from the start.

I did guess one main thing that happens but, as with all good fiction, there was far more to the story than first appeared and, even with that knowledge, I was no less invested in the final outcome. The desperation,  hopelessness, anger, and disbelief of Naomi and Charlie as they try to understand what has happened to their daughter is very well done and, apart from one issue near the end, was, I felt, realistically dealt with.

I was able to read an advanced copy of this book thanks to NetGalley and the publishers in exchange for an unbiased review and would recommend it as an excellent series starter. I for one will definitely be on the lookout for the second and third instalments.

This was an ok read for me and kept my interest but I did guess quite early on what was happening although not quite why. The story had plenty of red herrings and some twists and I found the writing to be good if sometimes slightly over complicated, the characters were well described if not always likeable but I particularly liked DCI Rachel Hart and as I see this is book 1 of a series I am glad we shall see more of her in future books and I do feel the series will get better as we learn more of Rachel’s past which seemed very interesting. So all in all I think the book is a good 3 star read for me and I will read more from this author in the future.
