Now You See Me is an excellent mystery with a creepy setting. Six go in the longest canal tunnel in England, only one comes out. What happened in there? The one to come out is the clear suspect, but did he kill his friends? Readers will be kept guessing throughout this fast-paced whodunnit. Highly recommended to readers who enjoyed McGeorge's Guess Who and to those who enjoy a good mystery.

Read and loved Guess Who so was very happy to receive an advanced copy of Now You See Me in exchange for a honest review. Dare I say this book was even better than the first, a classic yet 'with a twist' whodunit. If you aren't hooked by the blurb on the back then you certainly will be from the first few pages. Great and believable characters, clever twists, well written plot. What more could you ask for!.

Robin is an author. His wife Samantha disappeared three years ago and he has never given up hope of finding her. He receives a strange phone call from someone called Matthew who is in New Hall prison. What Matthew says piques Robins interest when he mentions Samantha. Matthew is awaiting trial as a few months ago he was taking five people and a dog through Standedge tunnel on a boat. Two hours and a few minutes later only Matthew, who was unconscious ,and the dog emerge. How on earth did he get rid of 5 bodies in a canal tunnel? If he didn’t do it then who did and what happened? No bodies have yet been found. If robin helps Matthew he promises he will tell him what he knows about Sam. Ooooh!! This is one of those books that grabs you from the get go and tangles you up not wanting to let go. I immediately took to Robin and his determination and tenacity not only to find out what happened to Samantha but also about Matthew and the others. “There are many truths of which the full meaning cannot be realised until personal experience has brought it home” (John Stuart MIll). A very clever plot (which I didn’t see coming) with a nice sub-plot along side. One gripping tantalising read.

I really loved Guess Who when I read it last year and have been waiting to see what the author would hit me with for his follow up book. Sometimes I fear that my expectations will not be met but, I am please to say, this book did not disappoint at all!
Robert Ferringham is at a book signing when he receives a strange phone call. A man is in trouble and has been given his name and number, by a woman, as someone to trust. The woman is his wife Sam, who disappeared years ago and who he has never stopped looking for and who is also the subject of his book. If Robert helps this man, Matthew, he will in turn give him information about Sam. He's credible as he delivery a key piece of information about Sam that was not in the book. Robert has no choice but to take him at his word and, after a search for information on the internet turns up scant details, he decides to visit Matthew, in prison, where he stands accused of the murder of his friends during a canal tunnel journey. It appears he has been hung out to dry as he maintains his innocence but with information about Sam so close, Robert has no choice but to carry on, even when things start to take a dangerous turn.
Well, this was one of those books for me, you know, one that sucked me in right from the start and held me captive and captivated throughout. It delivered some really great "aha" moments along the way too. Most of which I didn't see coming at all! Yes, OK, there were a couple of things that I suspended belief for but, when taken as a whole, the rest of what I was served was so delicious, I was more than happy to take one for the team, accept and move on.
Plotting was tight and intricate and very well executed. Characterisation was also good - plenty of people to love and hate in equal measure and the obligatory not sure abouts, who I swung between liking and not along the way.
Pacing was perfect and there was a good balance between description and narrative which meant that the story got on with itself nicely. Writing style suited me well and, at times, it felt like the book was reading itself to me. Lucky that as I had my heart in my mouth several times along the way.
All in all, another winner from the author, really can't wait to see what he serves up for me in his next book. My thanks go to the Publisher and Netgalley for the chance to read this book.

Oh wow!! This is definitely one of the best mystery thrillers I’ve read in a while. I went into this story blind and I think it’s the best thing to do! A dark mysterious tale set in a small town with many secrets. I was absolutely gripped from the first page and literally couldn’t put this book down. Beautifully written with real and honest characters. I absolutely loved it. One of the best books I’ve read this year. Highly recommended for thriller mystery and whodunnit fans xxx

After reading Guess Who? by Chris McGeorge, I was really looking forward to this book. And finally when I got this book (thanks to Orion for that) I couldn't wait to start reading it. And I thoroughly enjoyed this brilliant piece of whodunit mystery. It was gripping from the very first page to the very last page. The twists were quite cleverly written and cleverly placed in the book. Overall it was a really enjoyable book, one that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to any good mystery lover. A big thank you to Net Galley and Orion Publishing Group for giving me a chance to read this ARC in exchange of my honest review.

What a creepy setting! Have a look on google at Standedge tunnel and try telling me that isn’t a great place for a thrilling mystery to be set! I think it’s great.
Now You See Me kept me up late into the night, I couldn’t sleep without knowing how it ended and that’s the sign of a bloody good book!
5/5.

I read the first book Guess Who by Chris McGeorge and really enjoyed it so I was very much looking forward to this one and it didn’t disappoint one bit in fact I would say it was better than the first. It’s a real who dunnit of read that had me hooked from page one and I found my grabbing every spare minute to read just a little bit more which in my opinion always makes for a sign of an excellent book. There is lots going on in the story six people go into a tunnel and only one comes out well that is the start of a mystery that kept me intrigued from the start, what the hell happened to them and why is everyone reluctant to talk.
To say more would spoil the book so I would just say grab yourself a copy as soon as you can because this is skilfully put together read and one not to be missed, gripping and most of all it’s fun because its a real good old fashioned mystery and solid 4 star read.
My thanks to NetGalley and Orion Publishing Group for giving me the chance to read the ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.
