Sierra Jones is visiting her brother, Cal, and his new bride, Maggie, during a brief stay at Sullivans Crossing. Sierra thought she had sorted her life out, conquered her alcoholism, and put her past behind her but it appears to be. Arching up with her. She meets Conrad, Connie, a firefighter and his adorable puppy and enters into a relationship with him. Will he be able to help save her when her life is in danger?

I enjoyed the book, there are contemporary problems addressed in the novel, alcoholism and cheating for example which makes the storyline and characters more realistic. I found the narrative sometimes jumped from one character to another which made the story confusing but otherwise it was an enjoyable read.

I received this novel from Mills & Boon via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review

I loved this so much that I had to chase up the other Sullivans Crossing books. They are fresh and enjoyable. The romance doesn’t overwhelm the storyline and there is a bit of uncertainty and concern thrown into the mix. I really recommend this book!

My thanks to Robin Carr, Mills and Boon and Net Galley for my ARC of ANY DAY NOW.
Sierra is recovering from alcoholism and goes back to her family, Cal and wife Maggie for some much needed support. When she meets Connie and starts a relationship she feels things are moving forward into the future, but then her past encroaches on her happiness. The main character is likable and thoroughly relatable. An enjoyable summer read! Four well-deserved stars!

Any day now is the second book in the Sullivan's Crossing series and in this book we get to see the ups and downs of Sierra. When Sierra comes to Sullivan's Crossing it is for a new start and to be closer to her brother Cal. She soon meets Connie and begins to form a relationship with him. However all too soon Sierra's past catches up with her and once more her life is in danger. Sierra's no nonsense attitude and vunerability appealed to me and kept me reading to find out what happens next!

Sierra is an alcoholic in recovery who has escaped her old life to move to the same Colorado town as her brother and ends up living in a cabin on her sister in laws fathers (Sully) campsite in return for assisting around the place

Conrad (Connie) is a firefighter who loves his job but also quite likes Sierra, although he finds her a bit scary to start with

Neither Connie or Sierra are looking for a relationship, her working to overcome her alcohol problems and move on and he out of a long term relationship where his ex cheated on him, but neither of them can deny that they have a spark. Are they willing to give it a go and see what happens though?

This story has lots of different narratives from the various characters throughout the book but once I worked out who was who and what they were talking about it made an awful lot more sense but jumping from one character to another was confusing and part of the reason I have given this book 4 stars

Sierra has various other problems which makes her feel much more relatable and like a real person who I felt I could connect with, although I think my favourite character may be Sully!

I did ultimately enjoy this book even though I had my struggles at times with it and I would recommend it to those who enjoy a multi dimensional character and seeing the views through other people's eyes and their lives (it is a small town, so anyone with experience of those will know what it's like!)

Sierra has moved to be closer to her brother. She has just left rehab and is trying to put her past behind her. But someone from her past is out to get her and she needs to rely on others to help her.
The book deals with some serious and emotional issues, but is a good read all the same.
