That is freaky enough, but then she starts suspecting that Johan and his friends know more about the body than they are saying.

Rumors are running rampant ... is Johan a killer? What is in his past that he doesn't want Ellie to know?

This is a worthwhile novel, very suspenseful, filled with secrets and lies and surprises that kept me glued to the very first page and held me there until the final revelation.

After reading a couple of Ms. Duffy's books set in Glasgow, which I just couldn't get into (unlike most reviewers), I was curious about her new book which is set in Sweden.
Ellie, an investigative journalist, moves from London to Sweden for her love, Johan. Johan has some definite flaws, including lying, but Ellie, as smart and pragmatic as she normally is, justifies his 'quirks'. It's difficult to admit to yourself you've may have made a huge mistake!
Not speaking the language, getting involved in a murder investigation after stumbling on a skeleton, wondering if Johan knows more than he should...how much more can a woman cope with?
It's a pretty good mystery, love the setting and definitely liked this book.
