Another great story by a wonderful author. A nice and easy read for summer. Would recommend this book, series and author.

Just loved this great story. Great characters, although Malcolm was self centred and not very nice. 80 year old Stanley still bringing a giggle. The Cosy Kettle is a friendly warm place, which makes a lovely story line. Thoroughly recommend this lovely story.

Oh my, I absolutely loved this book. Liz Eeles is a new author for me and she didn’t disappoint. You get sucked into the lives of the characters, some you love to bits whilst others you really take a dislike to. The quirkiness of some made me chuckle. I can’t wait to read more from Liz. Brilliant!

This was cute and sweet and light and worth a read by the pool. If we could visit pools right now, that is. I liked this story and felt the characters were easy to connect with. The story does nothing new and I wasn't surprised by anything when I read it, but it was still worth reading and enjoying.

This is my first visit to the quaint village of Honeyford. I didn’t think it mattered that I haven’t gotten around to reading the first in the series and this didn’t confuse me one bit.

This story focuses on Flora and her marriage and time in Honeyford. Her husband Malcolm does the most unforgivable thing which leads Flora to seek residence in Honeyford whilst she tries to work out what she wants in life.

What a dream it would be to own a bookshop and cafe in one! I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Honeyford and can’t wait to go back. The character’s personalities just leap off the page, especially Flora, Caleb and Luna! I wanted Flora to work out what she wanted in life and to put herself first!

This story is about love, friendship, hope and second chances in life. I give ‘A Summer Escape and Strawberry Cake at the Cosy Kettle’ 4*/5* 😊

Thank you to Bookouture for an advanced copy of this book via NetGalley.

When Flora discovers that her husband had been cheating on her she decides to throw herself into her little cafe in Honeyford and soon becomes part of the community, living with her wacky friend Luna. She is not too sure about Luna's son though he doesn't seem to want her there.... but can she turn that around?

Another lovely book, Honeyford really draws you in as does the wonderful community and it is definitely one of those books that leave you with a nice warm feeling

This book was so sweet, I really enjoyed it. It was the pick-me up I needed. I had not read the first book in the series so don't think you can't just jump in! As a book lover, a story about someone who has taken over a bookstore in a small cute town (Luna). Her husband has cheated on her, and he is such a toad. She is finding a way to be on her own and it's a joy to watch. She makes friends and finds a way to be a part of the community.

Thank you to Bookouture, Liz Eeles and NetGalley who provided me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All the thoughts and opinions are my own.

I loved the first in this series and I really enjoyed this one too, which focuses on Flora. Very well written with the characters I got to know in the first book, plus a few new ones too which were equally likeable! Can't wait to read the next one!

A warm and cosy tale mending broken hearts and bringing together a fabulous set of characters. It’s a place I’d love to visit so I’m always happy to return to the Cosy Kettle. This is the 2nd in the series but could be read as a stand-alone

I always get intrigued by books that have tea or cake in the title and A Summer Escape and Strawberry Cake at the Cosy Kettle was no different, it instantly caught my attention. This was such a well written feel good book that I didn't want it to end. Nothing beats a cosy summer read in the middle of a wet and windy autumns day.

I was a little bit disappointed with this one. The title and the cover were cute and screamed lovely chic lit story to me however I just found it flat and not very eventful.

2nd book in the Cozy Kettle series by Liz Eeles and another book that I absolutely adored reading! This time we follow the owner of the bookshop and cafe, Flora who just discovered her husband is cheating on her and decided to take a break from her relationship with him and leave home to live with a new friend of her, a very strange woman who appears to be a very generous and kind person. Flora will discover herself during that time and will make new friends and relationship. A very nice romance is hidden in this book. Also let's take a moment to appreciate the very cute and colorful cover of the book! I just love it so much! A four stars out of 4 for me, I really had a good time reading this book!

The Cosy Kettle café is the perfect place to escape this summer, for fans of Cathy Bramley, Jenny Colgan and Debbie Johnson. Guests can tuck in to fruit puddings and strawberry-studded ice cream, but for Flora, the warm summer breeze is blowing in big changes…

When Flora finds out about her husband’s secret fling, she escapes to the one place she feels safe: her beloved café, The Cosy Kettle, in the charming village of Honeyford. Serving up cream teas to her café regulars is the perfect way to soothe her broken heart, and although she’s never lived in the area, the little community welcome her with open arms.

She’s soon lodging with local eccentric Luna in her remote and beautiful Starlight Cottage, snuggled between rolling green hills. Luna’s handsome son Daniel lost his wife several years ago, and as Flora gets to know him, sharing walks through the blossom-scented woods, they both slowly begin to heal… and she realises that behind Daniel’s quiet exterior, there’s a passionate nature that makes her forget all about her ex-husband.

As she settles into her new life, hosting a baking competition for the village’s summer celebration seems like a great idea… but with Daniel’s mysterious silences leading Flora to believe he’s hiding secrets, she can’t help but wonder if she can really trust him. And when the race to bake the perfect Victoria sponge stirs up old rivalries between locals, Flora starts to feel like she’s bitten off more than she can chew.

After her new start, will Flora ever truly belong in Honeyford? And, this summer, can she risk opening up her heart again?

Flora is dealing with her cheating husband and a new business venture away from home but still trying to find out what world she fits into. This was an easy read but I didn't give it more stars as I was not able to connect with the characters as I would have liked to.
