Wow the ending was totally unexpected!
This book tells the tale of daisy and Simon a couple who are desperate to have children, the stress and turmoil in their lives as they undergo tests and fertility treatment over many years! Finally they end up with a beautiful daughter Millie but the process has taken its toll on themselves and there relationship, Simon has taken to drinking and they feel themselves drifting apart! A startling revelation at the infertility clinic changes their lives forever in ways that you couldn’t imagine, a story line that keeps you guessing with unexpected twists and turns, a great read thought provoking and intriguing from start to finish! Would highly recommend!

An enjoyable read but I have to admit it's not my favourite by this author. I found it difficult to connect with the characters and the story seemed to plod on a bit.

I love the way Adele Parks writes and always look forward to her books. Lies, lies, lies does not disappoint.
We follow Daisy and her husband Simon, their daughter, Millie and their friends. Simon has a major addiction to alcohol which leads to trouble. Daisy has a secret which also leads to trouble.
The twists and turns in the plot left me breathless and with a lot to think of. It’s that rare kind of book where I miss the characters now I’ve finished reading.

I enjoyed the first part of the book then it was a bit drawn out, it didn’t hold my attention had to force myself to read it, it could have been better.

Wow this book is breathtakingly beautiful and horrific at the same time. I loved the story and the characters and love the way this author brings us into a story thinking one way and then completely changing our view in the next breath. Loved it and the ending was great.

I like Adele Parks books but this one didn't grip me as much. The story was ok and had a few twists here and there but not enough to say I really enjoyed it.

Daisy is married to Simon. Simon is alcoholic. They have a daughter Milly and are hoping for another baby but Simon is tole he is sterile. So who was Daisy's father? Like the layers of an onion the tissue of lies on which Daisy's life is founded are peeled back.
Previous Adele Park books have been laugh out loud entertaining, this is much darker. You despair of Daisy and Simon as their lives disintegrate and you won't see the dramatic ending coming.

Deception and lies form the basis of this new release from Adele Parks - however, both the deception and the lies often have a basis of the best intentions. A swiftly moving read throughout, protagonists Daisy and Simon are both well drawn and credible. Sensitive issues are carefully and sympathetically dealt with. An engaging read.

This is a really moving story told from the points of view of a married couple, Simon and Daisy, each with their own conflicting desires and assumptions made of their respective actions. Simon and Daisy come alive as believable, flawed characters in this absorbing examination of a relationship disintegrating under the weight of secrets.

Simon, an interior designer, and Daisy, a Yr6 teacher, both in their 40s, tried IVF for years before finally Millie was born 6 years ago. Simon is badgering Daisy to give Millie a sibling and, against Daisy's wishes, they go back to the IVF clinic where, through circumstances, Simon sees a new consultant by himself - and receives some quite incomprehensible news.

As Simon's drinking worsens Daisy desperately tries to keep things together until the night of their best friends' anniversary party when an acquaintance of hers from university days, Daryll Lainbridge, turns up and becomes Simon's drinking buddy.
Then........the 'incident' occurs. Just when you think Daisy's life couldn't get much worse....................(not writing any more).

There are lots of twists and turns as the alternative narratives converge into a rather unexpected ending.
This is an immersive and emotional read.

Simon and Daisy struggled to conceive, and their daughter Millie is all the more precious for their long wait. When the couple decide to try for another child, a visit to the IVF clinic provides Simon with a shock that he can't surmount, and his already heavy drinking increases to dangerous levels. The couple's marriage is already in trouble when they attend a party at their close friends' house, where a terrible decision means that their lives will never be the same again...

There's so much more to the book than this but I want to be careful about what I say as I don't want to give too much away. This novel is incredibly well-written with realistic, flawed characters and several well-placed twists and turns. I read a lot of thrillers with twists, and was almost certain I had this one figured out early on...but I was wrong.

An excellent, well-paced book which ratchets up the tension and has some genuinely dark moments. I'm already looking forward to what Adele Parks does next.

Daisy and Simon have a 6 year old daughter, Millie. Millie is confident, happy and a talented ballet dancer. Simon wants to increase their family and starts the next round of IVF appointments himself; Daisy is not so keen. At his ‘advance’ appointment, he learns a devastating fact – which turns his drinking problem to crisis point. His world is turned upside-down.

Daisy continues to be close to her university mates from years ago – they’re a tight-knit group despite an ‘awkward’ affair splitting one couple, that of Daisy’s sister Rose. Rose sister is now happily remarried, but Daisy holds a grudge against Lucy, the ‘interloper’. Connie and Luke, another couple in the ‘uni group’ are rich, successful and hold magnificent parties. They all watch Simon’s alcoholic demise with dismay. It is at one of their parties that Simon irretrievably disgraces himself; this in turn leads to further tragedy.

As the title suggests, many lies are told; lies to protect others and selfish lies to protect themselves. The main characters are not straightforward, their complexity is unravelled through the book. This flows so easily, one races through – surprises continually move the story on. I felt the end was rushed and would have liked that to be more explanatory, but it is still satisfying. But I'm left wondering what’s going to happen when another drink is offered though…

What a great and perfect title. This novel revolves around deception, however, this deception is done with the best intentions in the mind of the liar. Quite the page turner towards the end as the lies unravel, but with a happy ending! Thoroughly enjoyed reading this novel about families and a very close friends network, made up of ultimately of mostly good people, having to cope with life and a sad accident.

I loved this book - Adele Parks is a favourite author and Lies Lies Lies is definitely one of her best novels to date.
A gripping and very well written book that had my full attention from the start. Adele has an amazing ability to seat you into the lives of others especially in the portrayal of Simon and Daisy.
The plot was excellent and believable, with many twists and turns I could not put it down.
A glowing five stars from me.

Oh I loved this book. I really felt I got to know the characters. Adele captures the pressure of infertility and the IVF process well. She also brought back memories of Meg Ryan in When a Man Loves a Woman with the impact of alcohol addiction on a relationship. The twists were definitely surprises (& I’m usually pretty sharp in picking those up in novels). A cleverly written, absorbing and emotionally disturbing read. I definitely recommend for a sunny day on the deck or equally perfect for a rainy afternoon by the fire. In fact, you’ll get lost in the story anyway so it won’t matter where you are

Having read many of Adele Parks novels I was super excited to be able to read an advanced copy of Lies Lies Lies via Netgalley. Her latest offering didn’t disappoint, with writing that engaged me from the very beginning, having me rapidly turning the pages. The title says it all, in that lies and deeply buried secrets and the tangled webs we weave are the main themes running through this book with husband and wife, Simon and Daisy the central characters. It quickly becomes obvious that Daisy is struggling day to day with the burden of living with a high functioning alcoholic. I can only imagine the stress this puts on the ‘carer’ being in such a relationship which the author portrays well as the story unfolds and their lives unravel. Without giving away too much plot line, Simon descends into being simply an alcoholic, no longer functioning losing his job, friends etc and a sudden horrific event leads him to prison. Accused of dangerous driving whilst under the influence is his crime, made all the more tragic as his daughter is the victim! The majority of the story is told from the viewpoint of either Simon or Daisy which provides different perspectives of their lives prior to and after the event. As the reader discovers their backstory it is quite astounding how many lies this relationship is built on, cleverly drip fed by the author to make this a gripping read. There are some shock twists and turns although admittedly I did guess the main one but it didn’t detract from my overall enjoyment of the book. For me this was always going to be a five star read until the last pages when I thought the ending doesn’t work for me, it seemed unbelievable and slightly convenient. That’s only my opinion though and it will be interesting to read other reviews to see if I’m the only one who thinks this. Without hesitation, I thoroughly recommend this book and as always thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for allowing me to read ahead of publication.

A well written and enjoyable novel about lies and deceit and where they take you but OMG so annoying. I did not like Daisy or Simon both felt to be weak characters and as for the ending completely ridiculous.

However I am sure this will fly off the shelves and be another hit for Adele Parks.

I enjoyed this read, but found the character of Daisy to be really frustrating and several times I almost stopped reading as her lack of reaction/response to what was happening to her and around her was driving me mad! Overall, the title of Lies, Lies, lies should say what the storyline was all about, but there were really so many lies that it became unbelievable. It was an easy style to read and I have read past works from the author and will do so again in future, but I feel in this case, Daisy needed to be more proactive and fewer secrets being covered up would have been beneficial.

This book is told through the eyes of a Simon and Daisy a husband and wife. The book has many twists and turns which you just can’t see coming. The book is also beautifully written and covers the agony an infertile couple go through to have a baby, the destruction alcoholism causes on a day-to-day family life and domestic violence. The characters in this book were fascinating, particularly Simon whose life seems to resolve around when he can get his hands on his next drink.

I’d say this first 20% of this book goes through the struggles Simon and Daisy face on a daily basis, until one night at a party things spiral horribly out of control. And that happy little family of three are never be the same again.

I love Adele Parks books and was very excited to start this as I knew I was in for a treat. I wasn’t disappointed !!!
Great character development and a brilliant portrayal of human behaviour. I highly recommend this book. A big 5 stars from me.
