At first I wasn’t sure that this book was ‘my thing’. I like thrillers and it seemed to be a bit of a slow burner.
Although it starts slow with seemingly innocent chat Adele Parks is weaving the scene for you. A scene that many of us have encountered. A friend/spouse/colleague that likes a drink. A couple who so desperately want a child they are almost driving themselves apart with that want. The friends who have been friends forever but have had a few ups and downs. And most importantly a secret that could destroy everything.
The book tackles some of society’s biggest hurdles, Alcoholism, infertility, rape & domestic abuse and of course Lies Lies Lies.
It makes you question yourself and maybe some of the seemingly innocent lies you or another has told. Is it ever ok to lie? Where should the lie be drawn?
I found 1 or 2 chapters a little unnecessary and found I needed to re read them because I had skimmed them in a rush to find out what was happening elsewhere with other characters.
Overall a great book with some tough topics and unexpected twists and turns.

Well, anything written by Adele Parks is going to be extra special, and Lies, Lies, Lies doesn’t disappoint. A very apt title for a book all about the Lies people tell- small ones through to much bigger ones, and the impact they can have. A great read, I ran to the end. Loved it.

A good read by Adele Parks. Loved the story, loved the twists, and the lies that were told, some white lies some bigger....Loved the way the book developed and ended. Great read

I wasn't sure what to expect as I started reading but it gently gets under your skin so you have to know what went on and what is going to happen. I was shocked at the ending but what a good one and I can see probably the best one. I like this author and have read a previous book which again was intense but you just wanted to know more, another page-turner that keeps you reading half the night.

Lies, Lies, Lies I have to admit I went in totally blind to this one, Adele Parks is an author I can guarantee the story will be great and this was more so, filled with twists and turns and with characters that I actually cared about and if I didn’t I did by the end.
This book does cover some sensitive subjects but Adele does this very well, the book had me going through a range of emotions and sitting at the side of the pool I had to be careful as some parts made me want to cry.
I’m not going into the storyline as this will definitely spoil it for you and the twists along the way will make you change your mind about every character in this book.
Wow, wow, wow is all I can say and will need a few hours by the pool to digest this book before I can plunge into another. A cracking 5⭐️ read for me.
I would like to thank Netgalley and HQ for this ARC I received in exchange for an honest review.

This is the first time I have read this author’s work but will definitely not be the last! I was engrossed from very early in the book and found the writing style flowed well.

The title is very appropriate as the lies are in abundance. I got to know the characters well from the descriptions although did not particularly like any of them.

The story was excellent and took some very unexpected turns. Highly recommend.

Another great read from Adele. Totally gripping; I struggled to put it down! Find a time you don’t want to be disturbed and enjoy!

A really sad tale where no one seems to be able to tell the truth whether to protects others or themselves. Given the sad nature of the story saying I enjoyed it seems strange however, it was a read that I couldn’t put down and had to see through to the end. Definitely one to read.

Many thanks to the publishers and netgalley for the advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

This book surely describes the ultimate web of lies between two people. The characters are totally believable and we just want them to sort things out between themselves from the word go! I was gripped from beginning to end and could imagine every situation described.

The ending maybe a little implausible, but then this is fiction and the pace and suspense, twists and turns of this excellent book certainly make up for that. A very good read.

I really enjoyed the storyline and engaged with the characters whilst not necessarily liking all of them. I didn't see the end coming and to be honest not sure how I felt about it. (You need to read for yourself)
I did think the actions of an alcoholic appeared believable as did the other characters.

I’ve read some Adele Parks books before and was really looking forward to this after hearing so much about it on social media.
The story focuses on a couple, Simon and Daisy, who live in London with their daughter. Their life seems happy but is built on a bed of lies that are slowly uncovered over the course of the story.
Would recommend.

Lies, Lies, Lies is another cracker from Adele Parks. It starts off slowly and gradually builds up pace and tension until it is going at speed.

This is a story of a marriage in crisis. Although Daisy and Simon have their longed-for child, Millie, Simon’s drinking is becoming more and more out of control and Daisy is finding it increasingly hard to make excuses for him. And so begins a tale of deceit and unpredictability, full of twists and turns. Just when you think you’ve worked out what is happening you’ll discover you’re very wrong.

Adele Parks fans will be thrilled with her latest offering which also manages to cover some difficult topics like alcoholism, control, domestic abuse, infidelity.

Thank you to Net Gallery for the opportunity to review this book.

Wow what a rollercoaster of a book this is! Simon and Daisy are trying for a second child but with no luck and some shocking news at the clinic sends Simon into a downward spiral that has devastating consequences for those close to him.

Adele Parks has done it again with this. She writes in such an honest and real way that evokes empathy even when the character is behaving in an appalling way. My heart was racing at points and even though I wanted to I just couldn't put this down. A fabulous thriller.

Amazing! I loved this book. Such wonderful, relatable characters. Totally heartbreaking and at time dark moments and some absolutely wow turns in the story. A real page turner with secrets and lies but who is telling them. Highly recommend.

I would probably have given this book three and a half stars if it was available as for the main part it’s a great story. The problem for me was that the telling of the story became too long winded in parts and I skimmed over some paragraphs just to get to the interesting bits.
I didn’t like the two main characters very much but if they had neither of them relied so much on alcohol I might have done. There is a whole follow on story waiting to be written about how on earth they deal with the aftermath of the horrors that poor Millie had to endure.

Lies,Lies,Lies by @adele_parks Published by @hqstories 🦋
Having previously read books written by Adele Parks I knew I would not be disappointed. 🦋
This book is on another level- the writing, storyline, drama, atmosphere work together so well.
🦋
You have Daisy and her husband Simon who are desperate to have a child. They go through several courses of IVF. However Simon does like to have a drink . This can get slightly out of hand where he will over indulge.
🦋
Daisy announces that she is pregnant and gives birth to a girl called Millie. Millie has dreams of becoming a ballerina.
🦋
They have a great circle of friends. Luke,Connie,Rose,Craig,Peter & Lucy. However Simons’ drinking gets worse- He makes a totally unexpected discovery- (this is quite early on in the book)
🦋
It becomes apparent that within Simons and Daisy’s marriage/relationship is interwoven with Lies.
I cannot disclose any more and I want you to enjoy the book.
🦋
It is a bit of a slow starter but after I finished it I understood why as it starts the tension within the book that then carry’s on throughout.
🦋
Thank you to @hqstories for gifting me this amazing book.

Lies,Lies, Lies by Adele Parks is an involving read that addresses a number of issues including alcoholism, infertility, secrets, lies, friendship, loyalty, prison life and one I won't mention as it would come under the "spoiler" tag.
Simon and Daisy are a couple who on the surface are reasonably happy apart from Simon's drinking and his wish for another child which isn't mutual. Simon makes an appointment at a fertility clinic and it turns out to be very much a case of "be careful what you wish for" as it proves to be a turning point in both his and Daisy's life. Simon's drinking and behaviour get worse as his feelings after the appointment affect his relationships with people he is close to and things come to a head with a traumatic event.
That's as far as I can go without revealing too much but I can say that after a fairly slow build up events for the main characters spiral out of control.
While I saw most of the twists coming the book was so well-written and Ms Parks characterisation had me feeling I knew the cast of characters personally I wasn't too bothered.
The only downside for me was the ending which seemed rushed and a major event was done and dusted in a couple of pages while the part of the epilogue which barely affected the story seemed to go on forever.
Not a perfect read,I felt it faded towards the end,but largely a very enjoyable and involving book.

Big thanks to Adele Parks, Netgalley and HQ Books for the ARC in return for an honest review.

Very interesting and absorbing book with many great characters. Felt really true to life, almost like a true story. I liked the narrative switches and the way the story slowly evolved. The children especially were very well written.

Started off slow but then I was gripped as the story unfolded and secrets are revealed.
Simon and Daisy are the main characters with their daughter Millie they lead a normal life apart from the fact Simon has a drink problem.
They are trying for another child but it is not happening for them Simon has his suspicions about this then.one night Simon's drinking sparks a whole chain of bad events.
I had to stay up late reading to find out what was going to happen and in the process discovered lies, lies and more lies in the story!

Adele Parks has done it again with this book - another truly brilliant, twisty domestic drama.

Lies Lies Lies centres on the troubled marriage of Daisy and Simon. The story goes to some dark places, covering issues such as alcoholism, infertility, infidelity, and domestic abuse - so it certainly isn't a light read. But it is gritty, realistic and unputdownwble.

I loved the pace of this one, and the fact that it was told from alternating perspectives. A great study of a marriage in crisis.
