I received an arc of this title from NetGalley for an honest review. This was a quick pace book with lots of spicy scenes and hot bodies. Great read.

Jack was forced to retire from being a Seal due to injury and is working to find his new life when he crosses paths with an old flame and big surprise.
Ebook from netgalley and publishers with thanks. Opinions are entirely my own words.

Jack Williams has never felt so lost. For him, being a Navy SEAL wasn’t just a job, it was a way of life. Protecting people had always been his strength, until a career-ending injury forced him into retirement. He’s struggling to start over when he stumbles across a car in a ditch, springing him back into action. Only this is no random citizen in distress. He knows the pretty face behind the wheel. Intimately. In fact, there’s a good chance the baby in her arms is his.
This was a pretty good book The three main characters were likable and the overall plot was good. I recommend.

This book was the right amount of romance, and action. It was enjoyable and kept me wondering what was going to happen!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I have to confess that I wasn’t expecting much about this book after the last one by Katie Knight I read. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed Saving the SEAL Baby Daddy; but it is hard to point out something interesting about it after several months. So, the frenzy that is this book has caught me off-guard. I was ready to hate it, but the final veredict is far from what I thought it would be.

This time we follow Sam, the only daughter of a mafia boss who doesn’t want to take part in that world. Quite the opposite. She wants to bring her father down by testifying against him in the court. But the mafia boss is not going down that easy and has put a price to her daughter’s head. Luckily fir her, a brave SEAL team takes her to a secure position. There is guarded by no other than Jack. Due to the excitement of the chase, they blow some steam between the sheets and part their separate ways. One year later, Sam is still running for her life and, by chance, she ends in Jack’s town. He again accepts the protector role, except this time there is a young girl in the mix…

So, it happened again. A couple of adults forgot all about safe sex. At least this time they were in the middle of nowhere and not in a hotel of a town with plenty of commodities. And yes, the adrenaline was high this time and that could be an excuse. But what is not excusable are those Sam’s comments when they meet again: “Let’s have unprotected sex. What is the worst that could happen? Pregnancy?” Seriously?? Have you never heard about STDs? Did you know that people can get really sick because of them and even die? Are you absolutely certain that getting pregnant is the worst case scenario? I hate that they belittle such a huge problem…

Thankfully, this book has much more to offer; so I can forgive that misstep. This story is non-stop action with Jack and Sam running from one “safe” place to another, with bad guys chasing them every step of the way. Bad guys that do not held themselves and use every page of the Masters of Evil book to get what they want. We have showers of bullets, car chases, crooked cops, traps… A whole menu of action scenes that make this book a really fast and light reading. It keeps the reader engaged all the time, with little rest to catch your breath and put a bit of romance. In that aspect, the book is superb as a summer reading.

The characters are nothing extraordinaire or with any trait that set them apart from other couples in the Romance genre, but they fit seamlessly into the story. Sam is a remarkable strong woman, being capable of rising a kid while running from one place to another in order to save their lives. It is a wonder she is capable of trusting anyone after witnessing how her father can buy almost anyone to put them aganist her daughter. Jack is also a nice character. It is not the classic ex-soldier that becomes a policeman, detective or bodyguard. He has other dreams as a teacher and farmer, what possibly makes him be less robotic about human relationships. He is also the star of some of the cutest scenes of the book, where he researches in YouTube how to take care of a kid or the time he compares changing a diaper to assembling a rifle.

With those two as the main couple, the romance comes pretty easy. It is simple and sweet, with enough passion to suppress yawns. It is not mindblowing and it won’t leave a mark, but it is the perfect companion for the action. If you prefer more the romance side than the action one, then this book is not for you.

I must also congratulate the author on those chapters where Stefan gets the focus. Stefan is the father, the big bad mafia boss. And yes, he is evil and doesn’t deserve a second chance, but getting to know him a bit has been a nice touch that has made the story much richer. I hope the time in prison makes him reflect on his actions and realize he could haver been a much better person.

A story about a Seal who had to retire because of an injury. Now later he comes across a car that is in a ditch and he knows the person in the car and she has a baby as well. He had rescued her about a year earlier and they spent a night together and now he is a father but besides that, he knows she is supposed to be under protection by the Marshalls. After finding what happened he begins to prepare to leave when they are attacked and for the most part this is the story. Running from her father’s people so she won’t testify against him. He does not think he will be good at it since he still cares for her but of course, he does not tell her right away. A good fast-paced story with a lot of action.

3.75 stars--ALL ROADS LEAD TO YOU is the third instalment in Jennifer Probst’s contemporary adult STAY erotic, romance series. This is rescue farm owner Harper Bishop, and Irish horse trainer Aidan O’ Connor’s story line. ALL ROADS LEAD TO YOU can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information form the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Harper and Aidan) ALL ROADS LEAD TO YOU follows horse trainer, Irishman Aidan O’Connor as he looks for his next challenge. Having left Ireland under mysterious circumstance, Aidan finds himself in New York’s Hudson Valley, at the Bishop family B&B, where his future is about to change. Enter animal rescuer and rehabber Harper Bishop, and the woman with whom Aidan will fall in love. What ensues is the professional and romantic relationship between Aidan and Harper, and the potential fall –out as neither one is looking for a permanent relationship beyond the present.

Harper Bishop struggles with Phoenix, a difficult horse whose abusive past has left him skittish and broken. Meeting Aidan O’Connor finds Harper reconsidering Phoenix’s future, as well as her own future with the man with whom she will fall in love. As Aidan begins training Phoenix for a run at the Derby, Harper begins to let down the walls surrounding her heart.

The relationship between Aidan and Harper is one of immediate attraction but neither one is in a place for romance or love. Aidan has been burned by his former partner, and lover; and Harper’s past doesn’t allow her to trust the ministrations of a man who is only in America for a limited time. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate, without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

We are reintroduced to Harper’s sister and B&B owner Ophelia Bishop and Kyle Kimpton (A Brand New Ending#2), Ethan Bishop and his wife Mia: f summer ranch hands Chloe, and newcomer Owen; Aidan’s former business partner Colin Flynn, as well as a assortment of townsfolk and busybodies.

ALL ROADS LEAD TO YOU is a story of family, friendship, struggle and promise. The premise is engaging and entertaining: the romance is seductive and captivating: the characters are energetic, cautious and hopeful.

I enjoyed this book - it was the typical knight in shining camo x 2 with a few twists and turns thrown in. Despite the odds, it's definitely a HEA ending. I'd definitely recommend this one.

I liked the action packed twist on this tried and true trope. I loved the chemistry between Samantha and Jack. The suspense really held my attention. While there were problems to overcome, they weren't beat to death like some stories are presented. I thought the writing was smooth and full and easy and quick to read. Very enjoyable.

3.5 stars.

Favorite quote (from ARC):
“(…) The baby had been remarkably good in a crisis. She must’ve gotten that from him.
An unexpected swell of pride ached in his chest.
My daughter.
Man, part of him was still trying to wrap his head around that. His kid. His to protect. His to provide for. His to love. For a guy who’d never thought much about his emotions, it was a lot to process.”

An enjoyable read with likeable characters and an adorable baby girl, “The Protective Seal”, by Katie Knight, is a story full of romance, action and suspense.
Jack is a former SEAL, medically discharged, who is steadily rebuilding his civilian life. Sam’s life is anything but steady, yet she’s a strong, intelligent heroine.
This story held my interest and it was nice to have a wounded hero without too much dramatics and a romance low on angst, where the obstacles are external to the couple.
Despite the cohesiveness of the SEAL world depicted in the book, and SEAL's camaraderie, values, ideals, competence and toughness, sometimes I felt the SEAL credo was a bit too much emphasized.

First time in coming across this author the title drew me to try this. I am a sucker for a novel containing a Seal especially one that has so much promise. In this one though this Seal has gotten a little lost since he had to retire but not by choice so that right there gets us wrapped around his finger. He still has a mission so to speak and that is where we get wrapped up solid in this. Jack and Samantha take you on this one giving us a look into intrigue and suspense with the romance that is fueled once again. The drama that threads through this keeps us also along with all the others one that we stick to until the last page.

Jack Williams, a Navy Seal rescues Samantha Engel in Costa Rico and after the one night together they go their separate ways. Sam is the daughter of a mob boss in Chicago. She has agreed to testify against her father. She is in witness protection and now has a daughter from her night with Jack. He has retired from the Seals and has a ranch in his little home town in Nebraska. Sam and her daughter are on the run from members of the Marshall's Service her dad has paid off. Jack comes along and rescues her again. Now they just need to keep her alive until she testifies.

The Protective SEAL is a wonderful story packed with danger, intrigue, undeniable chemistry and second chance romance. Jack and Sam are incredible together and their depth of attraction was evident from the beginning. Circumstances have separated them for over a year, but an attempt on Sam’s life throws them back together and reveals a secret that will change Jack’s view on the path of his future and a life he never envisioned.

The Protective SEAL has everything a romance reader thrives on; there’s a hero, a damsel in distress (but definitely not a shrinking violet) and some serious danger and suspense. And add to that a fabulous plot, great world building and some tugging at the heart strings, and you have it all. Ms Knight has definitely hit this one out of the park!

The protective SEAL, wow.

The whole concept of the book and the storyline was amazingly clever and the connection between Samantha and Jack was full of tense, passionate and emotional moments.

Samantha and Jack had a love-hate relationship with each other after they both would never imagine seeing each other again after a steamy one night stand. But Samantha, desperate for help and to survive ends up in the same town as Jack seeking for protection, and as an Ex-Navy SEAL, Jack would do anything to protect people. Jack may seem tough and strong on the outside, but something tugs on the strings of his heart when it comes to Samantha and their daughter. Yes, they're baby daughter.

However, there were a few things that threw me off a little with this book. While Samantha may seem like this strong Alpha female character when it comes to scenes where they are being attacked she cowers away. Yes she is the strong female alpha in some parts, but not so much in others. But I am assuming that she cowers away during fights to protect Baby Glory and let Jack do what he is good at.

Overall, the book was full of intense and emotional scenes as Jack and Samantha reunite to survive together and to protect their daughter. I do feel like their romance moves very fast during the book and within a few days they have fallen in love with each other, however, that may be unification for their daughter. That was my main problem that their romance was moving way too fast and they were all over each other within less than a week.

I was generously provided an ARC of this novel by the publisher and author via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and views expressed are my own.

I couldn't help but like both of the main characters and the dramatic start of this book as they first met. They are running from Samantha's father until Jack gets her to what he thinks is safety. But neither one of them forgot the other.
The tensions do run high as the dangers keep increasing. Sam's father is ruthless, wealthy and has eyes just about every where. And just like you would expect he just seems to keep knowing where she is and coming after her.
Sam is tired of running, endangering her daughter Glory and putting others in danger too. Who can she really trust? She is determined to put an end to things by testifying against her father. She also wonders if she can really have a normal life after that. She sure hopes so.
Jack is often wondering if he can really protect Sam and Glory. Sure he is an ex-Seal but he's been out of the game for a while and this is too important. When he sees Sam again, he realizes he never really got over her. Then came the surprise of Glory.
If you like a story with lots of action this story has it. If you like to see a story with romance and tenderness, once again this story has it.
I liked how the ending came about and enjoyed the whole story. I thought it flowed really well and think that the co-partnering thing is working out really well too.

Duh, one of those guys was bound to be dirty.

I like that he found a way to move on with his life after the military.

She is unnecessarily stubborn. It's annoying.

He is an adorable new father.

Stefan is so messed up in the head.

THE PROTECTIVE SEAL is going to grab you by the heartstrings and not let go until the final page – if then. Jack and Samantha had one amazing, intense night together when they were separated from the SEAL team that was sent to rescue her. She was on the run and heading into witness protection so neither thought they’d see each other ever again. But life had other plans for this couple – and their beautiful baby girl.

Everything you need to know about this story is in the cover description blurb. What that doesn’t tell you is the intensity of this story, the fast-paced action and the sizzling chemistry between Sam and Jack. I enjoyed every single moment in this story and would have enjoyed even more. Those details you should discover for yourself, but I’m betting that you’re going to fall in love with one adorable baby and her protective parents. If you’re looking for a sexy, intense romance that will pull you in then you should be adding THE PROTECTIVE SEAL to your need to read list.

*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*

This book had me from the first page! I loved almost every second and then the other I cried over. I love these romantic heroes and their women. There's nothing like a Navy SEAL action romance in my book.
