This is book one of the Three Sisters Ranch series, and what a great start to this series it is, cover to cover this one grabs you by the heartstrings and does not let go.
Second chance love story with wonderful characters you will be rooting for.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own, and I cannot wait for book two of this series, three cheers for Three Sisters Ranch series.

Disappointed. The premise of the story is an excellent one but the “daughter” aspect was a huge disappointment.

For one, she never called him Daddy!!! I don’t want to give away spoilers but that part of the story flopped due to other storylines. Like Michael. What was that?? Huge turn off!!

And the ending...... totally unrealistic. I was left wanting more between Dad and Daughter!!!!

This is a story of growth and independence, past decisions and their repercussions, new starts and responsibility with love thrown in. Kelly is coming home to help save her parent’s ranch. When she finds out who is there to help besides her two sisters, past miscommunications come back to haunt her. It’s not any easier for Trent Campbell who finds Kelly, finally, the girl that left him with memories that got him through a tough time in his life. A Hero isn’t just a bull rider with records, but someone who really loves and cares. Will it be enough for Kelly and her family?
I was not aware that there would be erotica in this book. I was not familiar with the author at the time. The story was good, the characters believable and real. However, I am not fond of the use of erotica and would have settled for a tamer romance. I can't give this book a lower rating since that would not be fair basing it on my personal preference. Otherwise, I’m glad I read this book in the series, Three Sister’s Ranch.

Kelly doesn't regret having her daughter 5 years ago but she was devastated when her father threw her out for not telling him who the father was. Trent, a popular rodeo bull rider, met Kelly one night and they had great chemistry but he had no idea she got pregnant. Right after he met Kelly, he was severely injured riding a bull. His manager wanted him to focus on getting better so he kept Kelly's pregnancy from Trent. Trent has never forgotten Kelly and he can't believe it's her when he meets her again. Finding out he has a daughter and wanting a relationship with Kelly means he's going to have to overcome some family issues but Trent is all in. Enjoyable western romance!

THE COWBOY'S DAUGHTER by Jamie K. Schmidt is a single mom, rodeo cowboy romance! The first book in the Three Sisters Ranch series. This is a second chance for Kelly and Trent after parting five years previously. They run into each other while back home in Last Chance Texas. Kelly's back home to try and help her parents save their ranch. Trent is back in town for the rodeo for some promotional work, not to ride. Trent never knew Kelly was pregnant and had his baby. Kelly thought Trent had ghosted her and didn't want to be a father. The road to be together is full of setbacks and emotional moments!

When Kelly Sullivan spent one wonderful night with Trent Campbell, bull rider and hometown hero, she hoped to see him again. When she did not hear from him, she assumed that the night meant nothing to him. Trent suffered a career ending injury and Kelly tried to contact him…to ask how he was and to let him know that their one night together resulted in her pregnancy. Her father told her to leave when she refused to tell him who her babies’ father was, so she moved to New York and made a good life for her daughter and herself. When her father asks her to return to Last Stand, Texas, she reluctantly returns to find that Trent is also back in Last Stand and is starting a bull riding school at her father’s ranch. Will Trent recognize her? Will he care that he has fathered a wonderful daughter? Will she accept his explanation as to why he did not contact her after that one night? A really good beginning to the “Three Sisters Ranch” series and I look forward to the next book. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation for an honest review. In the Cowboy's Daughter, I really loved how Trent stepped up and took responsibility right away for what happened 6 years ago. That is the sign of a true man.
