Many thanks to Netgalley and Orion for this book. I thoroughly enjoyed this lovely gentle rural story of two rival families in a Somerset village. The characters were so well drawn and the sense of place was wonderful. Light and entertaining but also moving and beautiful.

A really great read .The story revolves around two families whose feud has lasted many years and the youngest descendents finally find out the family secrets after the death of Tabitha's great uncle Matthew who was like her grandfather. Set mostly on a farm the story takes on many twists, the characters are so believable and it is very well written. My first by this author and I will definitely be reading more of her books

A beautiful story, I didn’t want it to end. The Melchiors and the Calbones have been locked in a feud for a century, over ownership of Dragonfly Farm. Tabatha accepts help from a Calbone and everything starts to unravel. A wonderful feel good book, like a heartfelt hug. I really grew to care about the characters and the fate of Dragonfly Farm and hope there will be a sequel.

There felt like a lot of characters in this book and so I really struggling to enjoy it as I had to keep remember who was who and what their story was. I'm normally a huge fan of Veronica Henry but this book just didn't captivate me unfortunately.

Took a while to get into the story due to how many characters there are. But after that, I was so in love with this story. As always, Veronica Herny manages to transport you into the story so flawlessly. I will always happily pick her books up.

Tabitha and Georgia have always loved Dragonfly Farm and so when their beloved Gum dies they expect to own it jointly, afterall it has been Tabitha's home for years. When the will is read it's a great shock, it has been left three ways with a third going to Gabriel Culbone, someone they have never heard, but the Culbones are the wealthy family across the river that they have had a feud with for generations! What will happen to the farm now.......can a compromise be made somehow so that they can keep it.

Another lovely story by this author, the book is in great setting with the farm being in the centre of the apple producing countryside and plenty of intrigue and past family secrets to be uncovered to keep you interested, add in a bit of romance and you have a great summer read

I had never read a previous book by Veronica Henry so I wasn’t so what to expect from the author. I was pleasantly surprised by a Home From Home, I found it completely charming and enjoyed it immensely. I look forward to reading more from the author in the future.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for this ARC

At first I found it difficult to follow purely down to the number of characters thrown at you.
Once I settled into the story it just flowed and is well written also being very relaxing.
One I just could not put down.

You can almost smell the apples in the orchard, the descriptions are so real, in this lovely family saga set in Somerset.

The plot is layered and stretches across the generations, as the loves, losses, relationships and secrets of two warring families are revealed. Complex, relatable characters bring this story to life. The setting is rural and vividly described, and is interwoven with the history and the lives of the characters, it's a character in itself.

The perfect read for a cold winter's afternoon.

I received a copy of this book from Orion via NetGalley in return for an honest review.

There are at least 4, or 5, or maybe 6 stories in this book (I lost count) and it's told from multiple points of view across 3 generations and two families, so you'll need to keep your wits about you if you want to keep up.

That said, the plot line is sound, the characters are well written, and the mysteries follow one after the other. But with a suitably feelgood ending it's a lovely read and well worth the concentration.

I am a great fan of Veronica Henry, this novel did not disappoint I just could not put it down.

The enticing cover and the use of dialect transported me into the apple orchards Of Dragonfly Farm. The wonderful characters Tabitha and Georgia inherit their Great Uncles farm to find out that there is a third person also set to inherit. Will The Melchior and Culbones come together as secrets from the past are unravelled? I could almost taste the cider as I became a part of the characters lives.

A beautiful story of families, love and generations.

I did not want the story to end! #veronicahenryauthor #netgalley
