I really enjoyed this one guys! It was exciting, addictive and had elements of moments pulling at my heart strings as well as being shocked and appalled!! It follows Charlotte on her quest to destroy her husband....for reasons that you think are clear but aren't! I totally thought I had this all wrapped up but nope 🤣 I loved the characters and the storyline, I finished this one over 2 days and was hooked. Well worth a read when it comes out on 25th June!

Charlotte and Tris seem to have the perfect marriage but not everything is as it seems. They are going through a rough patch with both of them struggling. Charlotte is an author who is struggling to find the time to write her latest novel whilst looking after the children with literally no help from Tris. Tris, himself is struggling with work and spending a lot of time away from home on business, which is taking its toll on their relationship.

But then Charlotte meets Mia, a struggling actress, who is just like a younger Charlotte. Charlotte has a plan to help them both but it must be kept a secret from everyone. Will the plan work ? And is there another reason why Charlotte wants to help Mia ?

This is a great psychological thriller that will keep you hooked until the very last page. Lots of twists and some great characters, I especially loved Charlotte, although I didn’t always agree with her actions.

Charlotte and Tris seem to have the perfect life although that is far from the truth. Charlotte is a writer and takes care of the kids and has a hard time managing the household and finding time to write. Then there is Mia an actress who Charlotte propositions with a great idea that will be good for both of them. Of course it doesn't really go that way. I love Lucy Dawson books and really enjoyed this one but it was not my favorite and maybe a little bit to predictable but I really enjoyed it nonetheless. Definitely still worth the read if you are a Lucy Dawson or psychological thriller fan. It was a fun ride.

This was my first read by this author, and I will definitely be reading more from her. I loved the characters, plot was so easy to follow. Felt like I was inside the story from page one. Great book

Dawson’s <i>Don’t Ever Tell</i> is the captivating story of two very different women, leading very different lives—lives that become entwined in dark and twisted ways.

The author does a fantastic job of telling you the story of Charlotte, a published novelist and stay at home mother, and Mia, an actress with a history that no one’s quite sure about.

This psychological thriller starts off well and has quite a few reveals along the way but there is a large one that I feel was missing from the end—where it could have gone a number of ways.

Perfect beach read for summer—light with just enough suspense to keep you guessing!

Based on the other reviews I was expecting this to have a lot of twists and turns. Most of which were pretty easy to guess. Told from two points of views the story unfolds rather quickly. You have the housewife who is underappreciated, being a writer who works from home the husband expects her to always be available. He is the cliche businessman who is never home, "always travelling" for work trips.

You also have the struggling actress who is about to be get the part of a lifetime. Pretend to be someone and get paid a lot of money for it.

I think I was expecting the ending to be shocking and surprising but it really didn't deliver for me. It could have gone so many ways, but a little flat. Still a good story, just expected more.

Don’t Ever Tell was a very fast paced book, it grabs you right from the beginning. This story is from two points of view, and you wonder, what is going to happen next, can’t wait to read more from this author. Thank you NetGalley for the advanced copy.

Unlike most books I find on Netgalley, I had been checking for weeks waiting for Lucy Dawson's "Don't ever tell" to come up, low and behold 2 days before I was due to go on holiday I see it! I prayed and prayed to be accepted.

Having read all of Lucy Dawson's gripping Physcological Thrillers, I knew yet again "Don't ever tell" would not disappoint!.

The storyline, easy to follow, easy to be gripped,- this time- had me guessing possible outcomes an awful lot. Who was Mia Justice going to turn out to be!?! From the individual stories in the beginning- were they going to link up and that would be the storyline!?! I was second guessing everything. When we do discover the plot, it's not the end..... There is more to be discovered! I love the suspense and the uncertainties and equally love the bad and good characters in this book.
It's completely relatable in how you would feel in those circumstances, and I remember at Chapter 17- That one chapter, said it all yet not alot was said. We are completely with Charlotte, you will totally get it when you read it!.
Around this time in the book I was also an emotional mess!!
Absolutely loved this storyline, as with all Lucy Dawson books I actually have nothing but praise, you won't want to put this book down! 5 ⭐ from me!

Don't start this book until you have plenty of time to read and read. It will grab you from the first page and keep you in suspense until the end. Loved this twisted plot thriller!

Psychological thriller is one of my favorite book genres and this one was a great one! There were unexpected twists and turns, the ending did not disappoint and the premise was so interesting! I loved reading this one, it definitely kept me on the edge of my seat. I would totally recommend this book to a friend!

I absolutely love Lucy Dawson's books. She is one talented lady.

However... as much as I enjoyed this, I didn't enjoy it as much as her previous books. I found it slightly hard to follow at times. It just seemed slightly disjointed for want of a better description.

This is a well written character- driven domestic noir thriller told from the two different points of view of the two women connected by a chance encounter. The novel deepens into a pointed revenge story where the reader expects one thing to happen based on one woman’s narrative and then suddenly the next woman’s narrative changes and I really had no idea where the story would go at the end. Thoroughly suspenseful right up until the satisfying last page.

Fans of Lisa Jewell will love this mystery. Charlotte, an author, devises a plan for Mia, an actress, to be the face of her new novel. Charlotte will write the book but the public will think Mia is the author. The plan goes along well until it doesn't. The author kept me on the edge of me seat by telling the story from different point points of view switching between Charlotte and Mia throughout the book.
The author fed me bits of information, like pieces of a puzzle until, in the end, it all came together with a surprising final shocker.
The characters were well developed and interesting. The plot was intriguing filled with twists and turns.

What a book! I enjoy it very much, but my head is still spinning. So many twists and turns, and with a side of creepy.
It was definitely a psychological thriller.
I am still thinking back over the book days later, breaking it down, looking for the clues I missed. Once you start the first page, it is hard to let go! It was my first book by Lucy Dawson, and I will be reading other titles by her as well.

A superb book that will keep you reading until the early hours! The tangled web that just keeps twisting ! A fantastic read with great characters and an even better plot ! Bravo!

This book had a great climax. That is the best thing going for it. If the climax had not been so stellar i would have rated this 2 stars. The first 70% of the book was dull and dragged on and on with nothing really happening. You can kind of see where some of the plot is going but the biggest revelations are kind of a twist/shock. I found it very hard to stay interested as the lead up was so dull.

Don’t Ever Tell (the title’s a bit misery memoir, though the cover is pure domestic thriller) is about Charlotte, a writer of, um, domestic thrillers, and Mia, a young aspiring actress. There’s no apparent connection, until Charlotte approaches Mia with an unusual proposal which promises to benefit both. Of course, it’s not that simple...

It was an intriguing read, though the connection, when it came, was hardly mind-blowing. I’ll admit it took me longer than it should have done to guess (there were a few red herrings).

The dual narrative was used quite effectively, showing the discrepancies between each woman’s self-concept and how they appeared to the other. I also liked some of the nicely observational publishing stuff. (Agent: “Currently I’m being sent a lot of stories about quirkily named ladies who are very well, thanks for asking.”) Some of it got quite meta. Which I like.

I’ve read quite a few Lucy Dawson books and I wouldn’t say this was my favourite, but it’s an enjoyable read nevertheless.
