Two women on opposing sides of the law.

Dr. Mia Langley is a forensic psychologist working for the National Crime Agency. Mia is well respected in her field and currently she is investigating crimes against people known for people who abuse animals .. many of them turning up dead with a turkey feather lying across the body.

Ellie Grant is a women in love with animals. Her boiling point comes when anyone abuses any animal, for any reason. Finding herself with a winning lottery ticket. she uses the money to establish animal shelters in multiple places. She has hired several men who can help her with her chosen path ... those that are not afraid to kill.

When they meet, both their lives change. Ellie pitches an idea to Mia that hold consequences for them both ..... and the man they both love.

Although this story is centered around animal abuse and those who will do anything to prevent it, there are no graphic descriptions. Some things are mentioned ... like animal research centers, but we already know they exist.

This is more a story of deciding how far should one go for what they believe in. Is it okay to kill, maim, torture those who do the same to innocent animals? Is there a point a reasonable person would stop? Some people say humans are much more valuable than any animal ..but there are those who believe the opposite.

This is a well-written novel with credible characters. Ellie and Mia are on opposite poles .. but are they really all that different? It's a fascinating read ... and would make a great discussion for book clubs. I was a bit disappointed in the ending ... it was a bit abrupt for my tastes.

She Will Rescue You, also to be published as Wings of Retribution, is retired police sergeant and civilian investigator Chris Clement-Green's debut thriller, and although it will not be for everyone I found it fiercely gripping from start to finish. This crime novel examines the ambiguities of morality, including what money can and cannot buy and the nature of terrorism and redemption.

Both Dr Mia Langley and Ellie Grant prefer animals to people (I think they have the right idea, personally) but each work at almost opposite ends of the work spectrum — Mia is a forensic psychologist earning a good salary working for the National Crime Agency whereas Ellie earns very little and spends her time working at an animal shelter. However, they have more in common than they think and their worlds will soon collide in spectacular fashion.

This is much more profound than the usual run-of-the-mill thrillers, and that's exactly why I loved it. It is intensely thought-provoking and will have you questioning what is right and wrong, whether these crimes are ever just black and white, and whether having sympathy for those who punish animal abusers can ever be right.

I found myself rooting for those seeking retribution for animal suffering up to a certain point and thought the blurring of the lines between right and wrong was done adeptly. It's a very unique and original debut with a refreshing subject at the forefront of it all. All in all, this is a pacey, intriguing page-turner and an author to keep an eye on. Many thanks to Joffe Books for an ARC.

Dr Mia Langley works as a criminal forensic psychologist who works for the National Crime Agency. She's working on a few cases that she believes could be connected. Ellie is an animal rights campaigner who is fighting for the animals that suffer. This storyline will make you think and might even change your mind about animal testing. It does not go overboard on the subject though. This is a very interesting read. I found myself routing for the bad guy for a change. It does have a bit of a sad ending.

I would like to thank NetGalley, Joffe Books and the author Chris Clement-Green for my ARC in exchange for an honest review.

When you are introduced to a new author you are unsure what to expect and especially if it is also a debut. So I was very pleasantly surprised when I began reading this book.

I was immediately gripped. It is a very unique story. One that had me questioning whose side I was actually on.

Life dealt Ellie a rough hand. Small in stature with crooked teeth she is nothing to look at, is living on the breadline and recently lost her mother to cancer. Nobody to love her or to love except her precious animals. When a gift floats in to her hands she suddenly has the means to make a difference. She grabs the opportunity with both hands and sets about seeking justice for the illtreated and abused animals that she loves so much.

Mia is a forensic psychologist for the NCA. She likes the finer things in life, designer clothes, good food top range cars etc. She has the body and the looks to have most men drooling and enjoys flirting with Mark.

As the investigation progresses Mia manages to untangle the clues much faster than Mark and his team and soon finds a way to link up to the elusive Ellie. What she finds is very different to what she was expecting.

This is an intriguing book that has the pages turning. It is different in a very refreshing way as the lines between right and wrong become blurred. The characters are all unique and cleverly created to make them interesting and realistic building in complexity throughout the story. There is a little romance worked cleverly through but, thankfully, no explicit sex scenes and the romance is an important part of the story rather than something thrown in. The description is minimal and relevant which makes this a fast-paced read that is all action and investigation.

A brilliant read I am really looking forward to reading more from this author.

A book to make you think. If you could, would you save as many animals as you could and punish the people that abuse them? Would that make you a terrorist? Would you have sympathy with the people who did punish abusers? What price an animal life?

I loved this book. A good story, well told and evenhanded too.

The book was pretty good. Just did not work for me. The ending just didn't make sense. It was a bit too much.
Thank you, NetGalley for the advance copy to review.

Thank you NetGalley and Joffe Books for the eARC.
This book was formerly published as Wings of Retribution.
Dr. Mia Langley is a forensic psychologist for the National Crime Agency and Ellie Grant works for an animal shelter. The only thing they have in common is they prefer animals over people.
When Ellie comes into an enormous amount of money she decides to dedicate her life to punishing those people who have hurt or killed animals as well as open up animal sanctuaries.
The violent retributions Ellie and her team undertake eventually lead Mia on Ellie's trail.
Frankly, I found the book a bit uneven with an abrupt end, but found myself empathizing with the
women even though the extreme violence of the punishments were morally repugnant to me. As an animal lover who often prefers animals over people, I feel the abusers should be allowed to rot in jail instead of so often just getting a slap on the wrist. I give this book 3.5 stars.
