I don't think I'm the target audience for this book, but I feel like I would have really enjoyed this book as a teenager. The main character was a little predictable and somewhat annoying, but overall I enjoyed the story

This series is exactly what I've been craving lately and it did not disappoint. Tom Hansen wrote an incredible series so far.

It took me around 2 days to complete the books. They were easy and very interesting! Some parts, were a bit long-drawled and boring, and tiny bit unnessesary. But the writing was easy to follow, i really liked that the characters had flaws, but also grew in the book espesially Ynya. Sad that it's not more left, but maybe it'll come more later - thinking that because of the ending.

This series astounds from page one. Dragging the author into its grasp, it weaves a tale that tantalises and promises more whilst keeping it far enough from the readers grasp to keep them guessing. Utilising various literary aspects Hansen is able to tell a tale as old as time that's different. Thematically, and descriptively the novel offers more than many others have attempted before, and builds a world that is convincing against the other fantasy ones to already exist.

A unique take on an over saturated trop, The Frost Fervour Concordance is a delectable treat that keeps you gnawing at the bit whilst holding you back with a steady pace.

Great book! I couldn't put it down. Love the twists and turns! Strong female character and a strong plot.

An amazing and exciting read, which leads you on an adventurous journey in which the heroine is impetuous and naive at times but what would one expect from a sixteen-year-old. She is also a fast learner, although very emotional and loyal to her friends and family. Forced to go on a journey one where she fights for her life and that of her sisters along with the other innocent captives she meets while on her search. Poor Ynya, she had to grow up very fast in order to face the terrible trials that lay ahead for them. A captivating, exciting action fill magical adventure that entertains you with its every page.

While there were so.many things to like about this book, I'll start with what really bothered me. Once again, here's a fantasy novel with a plethora of rape and sexual violence against its female characters. Was it necessary for the storytelling? Nope. Just violent and gut-wrenching. Female characters can and should have other conflicts than worrying about who's going to force their way under their dresses. It's gross. Make women who are strong and adaptable, villains who're terrifying and unbending. Women, my dear male authors, are so much more than their lady bits.
That said, the world-building was magnificent. More of that please and fewer characters that could be described, in Samantha Bee's words, as "rapey."

It is easy to forget that this is a YA genre book with all the death and destruction, but it is one that young adults can learn from. Ynya ultimately has all the bad characteristics: rushing into things, taking things on face value and really bad at listening. As an adult, the book borderlines on predictable, but it might be exciting for the target audience. The book is fast paced, yet exciting. Even the novella is full of fun bits that relates to the book. I admit I enjoy the books despite my reservations. It is not a great piece of writing, but it serves the purpose. If you do have a strong headed young adult needing some life advise, this series might help...
