This was an ok read, if you like romantic thrillers, unfortunately not for me. I found it a little lacking in suspense

Another killer read by a very talented author. This was a clever, thrilling read that grips from the beginning to the very end. Recommended.

A gripping romantic thriller that you'll read in one sitting.

I love Sandra Brown and her novels.

Thank you Netgalley, publisher and author for an advanced copy.

This book tells the story of two FBI agents, who are trying to find a man they believe has killed eight women. It is believed that after every murder, he changes his looks, his identity, making it near impossible to find this man.

But can they find him before he claims his next victim?

This book was very cleverly written and it is highly recommended, I really enjoyed reading this book.

Complex and twisted thriller, with a big twist at the end. Fast paced story with interesting characters.

Although I haven’t read any other books by this author, I had no problem getting stuck in and I was really thrilled with the story!

Drex Easton, a FBI agent, is on the hunt for an elusive serial killer. He finally gets a lead and heads to Charleston, South Carolina, going undercover to get the man he's spent the last twenty years pursuing. But this man is married to a beautiful young woman named Talia - a woman that Drex wasn't expecting to encounter during his search and from the first moment he realised that she would be trouble. Drex is drawn to rich, young Talia and he is anxious that she could well be the killer's next victim. As the story progresses he is drawn more and more to Talia and he knows he is in deep waters.

There were so many twists and turns in this book and even though the reader was privy to the killer’s identity in the story, it was still extremely engaging. I just didn't know what was going to happen next. Outfox kept me on my toes and fully entertained all the way through.

In this book Sandra Brown has drawn a superb list of characters, some likeable an others definitely not! The surprise twist at the end was brilliant and I never saw it coming.

A fabulous read from this new-to-me author, I can't wait to read another of her books. If you are a fan of romantic suspense you don't want to miss Outfox!

I received a complimentary copy of this novel from Hodder and Stoughton via NetGalley at my own request. This review is my own unbiased opinion.

A story that kept me hanging on with every sentence. It started slow for me but once I got settled into it, it started to get good. I had no idea how things were going to pan out. The main character Drex was likable, you knew instantly he was going to be a good guy trying to catch the bad guy. A little romance in it too was good. The characters were easy to get to know and understand and the story stayed consistent. Loved it. Would recommend to anyone.

FBI agent Drex Easton and two of his colleagues Mike Mallory and Gifford Lewis are on a mission to catch a man they believe to have killed at least eight women. This particular killer looks for wealthy women, manages to drain their bank accounts and then murders them. He is clever and illusive. He has escaped capture for almost 20 years. The only picture of him is on a boat of one of the women who have been murdered but the picture of him is so blurry it’s hard to distinguish what he actually looks like. After each murder he changes his looks and identity for a new one and moves on. The killer is careful he leaves nothing behind not even a body. Until one is found in a crate Marian Harris, she had been buried alive. The name they had for him was Weston Graham but this could have just been another of his Aliases of which he has had numerous. Drex, Mike and Gif don’t want their boss Rudkowski to know what they are doing. Seeing that they like to do things that aren’t strictly by the book. Now they believe they have Weston in their sights Drex doesn’t want him to disappear again this may be the only chance they have of catching him.. Drex has a way with words and can seem to talk his way out of most situations. Rudkowski really doesn’t like Drex and is constantly trying to find out what the three of them are up to but they thwart him in some way each time he gets close. Mike and Gif think they have found their man this time using the name Jasper Ford and he has a new wife Talia Ford although she still uses her maiden name Shafer. Drex is convinced that Jasper is their man but the others aren’t as convinced and try to persuade Drex to take a step back but he isn’t having it. He rents a place opposite the Fords house pretending to be a writer, where he can watch all everything that’s going on.

Is Talia in on it with Jasper? Is she next on his kill list as she is a wealthy woman? Drex is drawn to Talia he finds her attractive and he wants her, against his own good advice! Then there is Elaine Conner another wealthy woman who is a friend of both Talia and Jasper..Drex is certain that Jasper Ford is their man but he has to get the proof. Which is easier said than done. Because Jasper is very cautious and he suspects Drex isn’t who he says he is.

I loved this book Sandra Brown has done it again. The story is so well plotted and everything falls into place although sometimes it really doesn’t go how you expected it to. A bit of romance. Murder, mystery and Mahem what more could you want from a good book to sit and read curled up in a chair or lying on a sun bed on your holidays this book has it all. I can highly recommend it. I loved it. If you like Linda Howard or Nora Roberts this will suit you if you are looking for something more gruesome and gritty this isn’t that type of thriller.

Thank you to #netgalley #Hodder&Stoughton #sandrabrown for letting me have an ARC of this book all opinions are my own and honest

I kept asking myself if this really was a Sandra Brown book. I didn't like it at all. I didn't like the protagonists, the pace, or the story. A few pages into the book, my hate for the protagonist "FBI Agent" Drex Easton was cemented. I kept going on for the suspense but that disappointed me too.

Drex was a pervert throughout the book. He was not broody or anything that would make me intrigued about him; make him even a little bit likable. The romance was not there and was frankly unbelievable. There was a point where the story suggested that Talia might be aiding the suspect but the direction was quickly discarded.

Even the villain/suspect was not very good( what I mean is terrifying). There was a moment when the tension was built but it quickly vanished. Even the ending was botched; I found the twist unoriginal and lacking.

Overall, I would not recommend this book at all, even if you're a fan of Sandra Brown's books. However, I would still read her upcoming books as I am a huge fan of some of her previous books( which had relatable and likeable protagonists, calculating villains, twists that'll make your mind spin and endings that'll make you crave more)

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC.

Wow. Once I got into it, I couldn't put this book down. It was well written and flowed smoothly, keeping my attention almost from the outset, although I did feel the first few chapters needed a bit of perseverance. The plot revolves around a man on a mission to identify and outwit a killer whose chameleon-like ability to change persona has enabled him to remain free for decades. Meanwhile, the hero is not quite what he seems, either. A cleverly thought out plot with a few unexpected twists and the inevitable romance along the way.
Thoroughly enjoyable and easy reading.

Outfox sadly wasn’t for me, I had to put it down since I just didn’t find it very believable. It’s well written but just not my cup of tea,

1 star is for books dnf - and 2 stars is for books I did not enjoy reading. Like this one. Outfox was indeed about all the events, situations, etc that Drex Easton managed to get away from. Even though there was an atmosphere in the book I appreciated to go with the story... it didn't outbalance the aforementioned slipping away of Drex and the weird turn at the end of the book with him being a sort of billionaire... and not an FBI agent.

Is it possible EVER for Sandra Brown to write a lousy story?! From the opening lines of OUTFOX to the final thrilling chapters I was gripped, racing to the finish like a madwoman. Fantastic story - Drex Easton (FBI agent) has been chasing a murderous psychopath for years when he's given information that leads to the whereabouts of the killer who has now re-married and living the high life with his wife Talia. Is she now also in danger ? - or perhaps even more worryingly - in cahoots with the Jasper the psycho? This is where the thrill begins and I won't spoil things by revealing any more of the plot. Just be prepared for a thrilling and twisty roller-coaster of a read and be thankful for Ms Sandra Brown and her skill as an author. A big thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for kindly providing me with an eARC in exchange for my honest review.
