This is a good book, which will help women to be captivated by Christ. It is about how we can worship our King, and learning who we are as His beloved daughters. It is about learning how we are beautiful as His. It isn't about how much makeup we can plaster on our faces. Or, if we can place ourselves in a comparable category as the latest supermodels. It is about our relationship with Jesus Christ, our Savior, who is the One making us beautiful from the inside-out.

I have finished this devotional I like the concept of using beauty products to teach us spiritual truth.

I don’t know for you but sometimes it is not easy to read and study the bible there are days were I can feel tired or disheartened by circumstances. Having a good devotional his a real help and encouragement.
It allow you to understand the word better to see it with fresh perspectives.

Using makeup: blush, foundation, eyeliner… and comparing it to the word of God to see our we can apply it in our relationship with Him is an interesting idea.

"Since Jesus is our foundation, then his love for us would have to be our blush".

The author invites you in daily reflection at the end of each devotional to dive deeper in the word and take the time with God through a serie of questions and bible verses to read.


As I say I really like this concept and this was a very good devotional for 21 days.
It is very important to renew our minds especially because we can be caught up in our daily life and let anxiety and fear in if we don’t to put everything into God’s hands. We need to remind ourselves that He is in control even when it’s hard to see it.

21 devotions about what real beauty means. I must confess that I still feel a bit strange with all beauty treatments, going to the hairdresser is usually not one of my favorite experience. But this year I have made new things in my heart and I decide to open to change. This book was a beautiful and unexpected blessing. I received much advice on beauty, but many more on my daily life with the Lord. Bessy Hicks and friends did a wonderful job with these devotions, what I must say surprised me the most was the deepness behind a simple subject like eyebrows. Each one did a wonderful job, and it must important that each one of them focuses on the importance of how our inner beauty represents what is our heart. It’s not about the makeup or anything else that makes us valuable. I highly recommend this book to anyone, because we live in a society where beauty standards are many times the reason we have a hard time to accept ourselves self as God created us and we wish to be like someone else.

Many blessings to the author and her friends hope this book be a life-changing for so many women needing to know this truth.

A good book for young women looking to improve themselves bodily and spiritual.
It is good for reading on a weekend and practice what you learn during the week.

This is an absolute must read for girls and women of all ages. We get so caught up in what we look like we often lose sight of what's on the inside that counts. This is an easy to follow book to focus on the inside and change your perspective.

"Escape the trap of comparison and learn to feel confident with Beauty Inside Out" this sentence made me want to read this book despite it clearly being a religious book which is not usually my cup of tea. But on the other hand, I thought that it might be an interesting perspective on this issue.

However, I should have known better, for me, it was way too religious, to the extent that I could not really focus on the book.

I do not think that this is a bad bood but that I'm not the right audience for it and I should have known better before picking it up.

In today's society the pressure for women to achieve extremely high beauty standards seems to be at an all time high. These standards create internal conflict for women as many try to achieve these unattainable standards. The book focuses on skin care, makeup, hair and the spa. In Beauty Inside Out the author provides 21 devotionals along with themed Bible readings, easy-to-understand scriptural applications and provoking questions for reflection. I really think that women of all ages can benefit from this book and learn from the devotionals for a spiritual makeover. A+ for establishing a theme and sticking to it! Beauty Inside Out is a series of 21 devotions specifically for women; dare I say, young women. From skin to makeup to hair to the spa, four weekly themes are supported by daily devotions incorporating concepts such as exfoliate, lipstick, hairspray, and pedicure.

I love the format of each day, which features devotion points as ‘beauty insider tips.’ There are also daily reflections (various Bible verses and thought-provoking questions) and real-life application guidelines. These devotions are very biblically based, and point the reader towards scripture to discover the truth regarding what God says about feminine beauty.

The book will resonate with any woman who has ever thought about her skin or hair – which means all of you! I would definitely recommend this for high school and college small groups, where young women can discuss the concepts with each other.

I have a teenage daughter and know first-hand what social media tells her about the world’s view of beauty. It’s fantastic to have a solid resource for allowing her to gather and contemplate God’s view on that subject.
