The blurb for Demon Veil says it all ... A rock band, demons, roadies, and angels. You'll get to meet Maia Gellman, the lone survivor of a demon attack. Great character!

I really enjoyed reading this book and looked forward to reading more from this author in the future.

I would like to thank the author and the Netgalley site for allowing me to read this book.

It all begins when an ancient evil is unleashed. Maia runs her uncle's bar except one night it goes wrong. She finds herself alone and totally scared and she has to run away from an evil she can't name. From now on she is a killer and if she wants to get out of it she will always have to be one step ahead of her pursuers. And whoever's following her knows her better than she does.

I immediately got hooked on the story which is so captivating, addictive, full of suspense and twists and turns with very endearing characters.

Demons, rockstars and a mystery; what else can I Girl ask for? This was an outstanding journey, the story is the strongest of all. It has adrenaline, funny moments and adventure, but I’ve never actually liked the main character as much. I don’t know, her decisions sometimes were reckless or plain weird, and I get that’s part of her personality but I couldn’t connect with that.

Everything else was awesome, I would love to see this book turn into a duet or a series.

Thank you, Netgalley.

Demon veil was an awesome read. I literally couldn’t put it down. If Supernatural had an offshoot or if they needed a way to go for one of its seasons, I’d say this would be it. I could visualize the characters clearly and would totally watch it if it was a show or movie. I would love for some of my avid readers to have a go! Can’t wait until school starts to tell them about it!

To say Maia's shift at work takes an unexpected turn is a massive understatement She goes from helping set up bands to being on the run from unknown mystical forces in the blink of an eye. A few pages in and all I could think was that escalated quickly!

I enjoyed the Almost Famous band road trip meets Supernatural vibes although would have loved more character and story development. It would be nice to see Maia learn more about her history and start to challenge herself in the future.

Maia's survival tactics range from clueless and comical to badass acceptance - this makes more sense when you read it I promise. I wasn't the biggest fan of a certain band member that I'm sure other people will love. I'm not a big fan of lying by omission but I can see the appeal...

The twists are dramatic and fit the plot, so they never feel forced. I enjoyed the drama and pace of Demon Veil and found myself quickly engrossed in Maia's story. I would have liked a longer book as it did seem to end rather rapidly. Perhaps there's another instalment coming soon?!

3.5 Stars in my Sky!

This book was ok... it didn’t grab me and I found myself getting distracted at times. The plot was very simple and easy to follow and the characters were alright, although could be much more fleshed out. The problem for me was that it just didn’t jump out... it was just ok.
