When I read the blurb for Nothing But This by Natasha Anders I knew I wanted to read it but had not put it together that the author had written one of my all-time favorite books, The Unwanted Wife. I have read and listened to that book several times. She writes some of the best cocky and cold (at the beginning) men you love to hate and fall hard for and this was no different and I loved it. 

Libby Lawson has known twins Greyson and Harris Chapman for a long time. Her parents worked for his for years. She has always gotten along with Harris, but her eyes and heart belonged to Greyson. The reserved and distant twin she thought has no time for her. But now her parents are retired and she is an adult. One look at her and Greyson wants her to be his. After a whirlwind courtship, they are married and learning their new normal. But marriage takes work and misunderstandings and miscommunications certainly do not help. 

Libby was sweet and caring, but she missed so much about her husband. Greyson knew how he felt about Libby but had no clue how to show her or tell her, instead he felt like an outsider in her life. Though at first he was distant and cold, he could be patient, caring and sweet. When she announces she is pregnant and he believes himself sterile, they part ways after he cuts her deep. When he decides he wants his family back, he finds this will not be an easy task. 

Nothing But This by Natasha Anders was an emotional story about second chances when all seems lost. Both characters were flawed, but Greyson’s action were unforgivable and Libby definitely did not make it easy, which is how it should be. Though their journey was not easy, I devoured and loved their story.

If you read book one you know a lot about this couple and a lot about what they have been through but this book tells us everything. This book starts with Greyson and Libby being reunited after growing up together and then them marrying and Greyson doing something that tears his marriage apart. Now with their daughter born Libby leaves to start a life with her and her daughter after her husband tore her world apart. And with her friend in tow(Tina from book one) they make a life for themselves in a small town, start a business together and raise Clara. Greyson hasn't done as well. After the biggest mistake of his life Greyson has spiraled. Now after four months Greysons can't take it one minute more.

Coming to the same town as Libby Greyson is determined to do everything he can to get her and his daughter back but libby isn't having it so Greyson becomes the father his daughter deserves. Though Greyson wants Libby back more than anything it's the hardest thing he's ever had to do and he seems to be failing at every turn. Falling into a routine while it seems he may have lost libby forever Greyson isn't sure just how or if he can ever earn her forgiveness and love.

I knew this book would be full to the brim after reading book one. Greyson and Libby's relationship is volatile and falling apart at the seems. And even though Greyson is the person who ruined it all I felt bad for him and found myself rooting for him pretty quickly especially  since we get his side in this story and see what's going on in his head. Libby is hurt and doesn't make it easy for Greyson and I don't blame her .

I will say that some of the first half of this book seems to be a repeat of book one since they run parallel and both couples are a part of each others everyday life but we also see so much more because it's Libby and Greyson's side. The second half of this book I flew through and it was so easy to love Greyson. He's stupid yes but it's easy to forgive him once you get his side(even though he was wrong) and you see how sorry and remorseful he truly is. Libby makes Greyson work for it and he willingly does. 

One thing that I just loved about this book was Greyson and Tina's relationship in this book, he was so sweet and caring towards her that it made it really stand out and special in this book. I also love that in this book like book one we have previous characters from other series in this book. This book is a great summer read. Like all of Natasha Anders books this book flows beautifully and is so easy to dig right into.  She's really found her perfect niche and genre with her books. Ive read other authors who have a hard time pulling this off without the reader hating their heroes but she makes us hate them and then fall in love and root for them every time.

Finally, finally we've good old grovelling! This author is known for her romance stories with a lot of grovelling and asshole heros.
I'm  not very forgiven person. And I don't know if Id forgiven my man in similar situation. It's very difficult to say.
For safe readers: safe read, no cheating, no OP scenes!!!
I didn't like that the heroine was a virgin at 26 to!! WTF??!!! She was a workaholic but.... It's strange...
I liked a lot that she dumped her man, he left him, pushed him away for what he did to her! She didn't let him near her body till 50%.
Hero mad a lot of bad assumptions and mistakes. But in general he was a good man, caring dad, helpful and resourceful at his workplace.
He made a good grovelling till the end. He didn't abandoned the idea of them being together! Respect for him!
I liked this book a lot!

This is a delightful story, running back to back with the first book in the Broken Pieces series, More than Anything. Greyson Chapman has been more than a little in love with Olivia (Libby) Lawson since she was a schoolgirl. She adored him, and followed him around whenever she could.  However, her parents both worked for his family, and he was quite a buttoned-up, serious person even as a teenager, he didn’t think it proper to conduct a liaison with staff, and he very much kept his distance. Libby went off to college and trained to be a patissiere, in London.  After her parents retired Greyson was on a business trip to London and sought her out, and they began an intense romance, every time they met he asked her to marry him, and they were soon married and back in Capetown.  

Within two months Libby was pregnant, and their marriage deteriorated from that point.  Greyson believed himself to be sterile, so his wife must be cheating on him, mustn’t she?  Libby has no idea what has gone wrong, and assumes that things would improve when the baby was born, but everything spectacularly falls apart then. It is painful to read, but feels very real, you can imagine it happening!  She leaves him, and has no intention of ever speaking to the monster again!  For a while she stays with her best friend Tina, but Tina seems uncomfortable with baby Clara. Libby decides she needs to get away, and finds a job with an old colleague, and moves to the Garden Route, hundreds of miles from Capetown.  Libby drives her, and falls in love with the small town of Riversend, decides to buy and run a restaurant, and employs Libby as her head chef.  

While Libby is sorting her life out Greyson is regretting everything he did, and said; and for weeks drinks himself into a stupor every day. One morning he at last wakes up to the fact that this is not helping him or anyone else, he stops drinking and sorts himself out, then goes to Riversend to bring Libby and Clara home.  Once he sees Libby he realises it is not going to be easy.  He has to work so hard to gain her trust; he apologises on a regular basis, but he never apologises for the right thing, so all his efforts are dismissed with disdain by Libby.  It makes riveting reading, you wonder constantly how much further he can fall!

Natasha is excellent at this genre of romance.  Her heroes are all flawed characters who desperately need redemption, with wives/girlfriends who might be a doormat for a while but then stand up for themselves, and, importantly, stand firm in their resolve.  During this book Greyson discovers a lot about himself, and, perhaps more importantly, he learns how to interact with other people, and makes friends, for the first time in his life.

An excellent story that grabs hold of you from the first page and keeps you guessing right to the end!  Most enjoyable!

Anders sure does have the knack with writing idiot heroes that eff up monumentally and then ... blam!  She goes on to torture them with their guilt annnnd commence the grovel.  Damn, Anders knows how to make those flawed characters of hers give good grovel, and Greyson did it so well I ended up rooting for him and wanting to slap Olivia upside the head for being so stubborn, despite the fact he eviscerated her with his idiotic reaction to a doozy of a string of miscommunications causing the marriage to break down.  Oh yeah, he bumbled his way through that grovel and I loved every word!  Oh, and there is NO cheating, none whatsoever.

I love me a marriage in trouble trope, throw in a kiddie or two, great side characters and a slow burn to their HEA and I'm in my happy place.  However, I felt the story dragged a bit at times and could have done with more of the past and tightening up of the present which knocked a star off my rating.

This is the story I wanted whilst reading Harris and Tina's book and am glad to say I enjoyed it way more.

Natasha Anders brings us a wonderful second chance romance full of angst in the story of Libby and Greyson. The plot of the story centers around a major miscommunication when Libby tells Greyson she's pregnant and he tells her he's sterile. Furious he leaves Libby and she cuts all ties to him. The love they share, however, endures even if they don't want it to. So they work their way back to each other but there are many, many obstacles between them including fear, doubt and misunderstandings. 

I think that the characters were really well-written as was the plot. I really enjoyed the flashbacks of Libby and Greyson's relationship. They just really cement their connection to each other and their relationship. Second chance romances have always been my favorite, but Natasha Anders brings it to a whole new level. We see the heartbreaking deterioration of a marriage only to watch a beautiful second chance love unfold before us. It was gripping and I couldn't put the book down until I finished. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a great romance!

Ahh I love Natasha Anders and have done since The Unwanted Wife, and this new series is just great! 

This is the second book of the series so I really recommend reading the first before you dig into this! For anyone who loves broody men, sassy no nonsense women, a bit of drama and a happy ending, this is your book! It’s so refreshing to read a romance set in South Africa (as Natasha’s usually are!) and not the US, it’s lovely to imagine these new places and ways of life. 

This is a really well written romance with plenty of heart and emotion, I read it in a day and loved the happy ending! I love it when an author is consistent and keeps giving us these great romances!

Greyson Chapman made a terrible mistake. Believing himself sterile he was devastated when his new bride announced they were pregnant, already jealous of the easy friendship she had with his twin brother he leaps to a conclusion and accuses Libby of passing off another man's child as his own on the day his daughter Clara is born.

Libby leaves the hospital and eventually starts up a new cafe serving amazing desserts with her best friend Tina in the small town of Riversend (a setting for several of Natasha Anders' other novels). She might live alone with Clara in a ramshackle home with unreliable heating, water and electrics, have a new business with a business partner who seems disengaged and feel lonely but hopefully things will improve.

Less than 24 hours after voicing his suspicions Greyson realises he has allowed his natural insecurity and jealousy of his more popular, outgoing twin Harrison to jump to ridiculous conclusions. After trying to drown his sorrows Greyson determines to win his wife back no matter what but this uptight, buttoned-up, dour millionaire is going to have to pull out all the stops to get her forgiveness, especially since Libby doesn't even know all the details.

When I read the previous book in this series, More Than Anything I wasn't blown away by Tina and Harrison's story, mainly because I found Tina to be irritating but I was chomping on the bit to read Libby and Greyson's story and it didn't disappoint. Watching (well reading about) a three-piece suit wearing millionaire businessman changing baby nappies, trying to cook breakfast and repairing ancient plumbing was a joy to watch. If I was being really picky I would have liked more prologue to explain why Greyson and Libby got married, what prompted this reserved man to continually propose to Libby, even on their first date, and more about the self-doubt/jealousy that could lead Greyson to believe that his wife and twin could be having an affair - but I understand that this would delay getting to the more humorous part of the novel.

Overall, a charming, funny second-chance romance between a couple who married for all the wrong reasons and need to examine their lives closely before deciding whether they can take a second chance.

I am a fan of second chance romances generally, except when one of the characters does something so despicable that is unforgivable. When I learned what Greyson did (no spoilers), I was very anti-Greyson and was 100% Team Libby.  However, Natasha Anders, was able to create a real characters with such depth & growth that I forgave Greyson and was praying/hoping that Libby would too.  Libby was so likeable, even when I didn’t like her actions towards Greyson so much but like any mother, she did whatever she had to do to protect her child.  It was amazing to see them both grow individually, particularly Greyson, who became such a different person by the end of the book.  It’s a testament to the author’s writing when your feelings are so entangled into the book that your heart hurts with the characters, as mine did with Libby and Greyson. I cried at several points because I felt their pain and anguish in my soul and I was begging for a reconciliation. 
This was my first Natasha Anders book but I definitely see myself going back and reading everything she has written. While Nothing But This can be read as a stand-alone, I would suggest reading More Than Anything first (Harris & Tina’s story). Nothing But This releases July 30.

Ever since I read ‘More than Anything’, I have been waiting to read Libby and Greyson’s story. They had amazing chemistry and were so interesting as secondary characters.  
Nothing But this is all about second chances. Greyson abandons his wife, Libby, and daughter because he thinks she cheated on him. Livid, Libby leaves him and tries to start a life for herself. Realizing his mistake, he follows and then the groveling begins. 

Since I’m not a huge fan of second chance romance, I was hesitant If I would like the book but Natasha Anders just took this one to another level. A story where a couple tries to rediscover their love is only believable if there is a right amount of groveling and a really good reason that it would work the second time around. Anders got it right on both counts. 

Though Greyson did not start off as hero material, I ended up liking him once he started working on his issues. His growing relationship with his daughter was just adorable. Trust Anders to make me like a guy who had trust issues. While Greyson was dealing with his issues, Libby had her own set of faults. Was she unfair to Greyson? I don’t think so but she certainly was tone deaf and insensitive to her BFF Tina. They all sort it out in the end and Libby does grow to be a more sensitive person. Everything gets tied up neatly with everyone getting their happy-ever-after and growing to be a mature version of themselves. 

I liked this book way more than the first one in the series and it re-enforced why I love reading Natasha Anders’s book. This is a definite read for romance lovers. While this can be read as a standalone, a lot of the scenes would add more insight if you have read the previous book.

This isnt a duet per say but I'd definitely read the first book. 
This started off a bit slow but then picked up. I look forward to reading more of this author

This is not exactly a duet but the first book (Tina & Harris's story) gives context to this story and should be read first. The two stories are happening concurrently so some scenes are seen from the other  character's point of view. 

I liked Libby better in the first book when I couldn't hear her thoughts.  She comes across overly judgmental, not to Greyson  because his behavior in denying his child on such flimsy evidence got him exactly what he deserves but to the other people around her, especially Tina her best friend. 

Libby was not very understanding to Tina and when she finds out the huge secret Tina is hiding makes it about her when she should have really known better. 

The strength of this book is Anders ability to take these old school tropes with the obnoxious heroes and turn them around by giving the heroine agency.  Libby doesn't forgive easily and she makes Greyson work for his happy ending.  This is a win in my book. 

I recommend this to anybody who likes to see the hero pay for their mistakes and grovel.

Nothing But This

This is the first book by this author that I have read.  But, I found myself so mesmerized by the characters that I couldn’t put it down. The storyline was so real, It felt like being right there in the room with the characters.

For our lead female we have Libby Lawson, she’s a sous-chef in a restaurant in London. She grew up in the Chapman home as her parents were employed by them. Libby had a fun sibling like relationship with Harris, but with his twin Greyson she was treated with coldness. Libby harbored a crush on Greyson all through her teen years.

Our male lead character is Greyson Chapman, a dark mysterious and silent brooding man. But then he was that way since childhood. He accused Libby, or Olivia as he insisted on calling her, that she was a stalker. As it turned out he’s actually the stalker, as knew where to find her. He was ready to meet as adults now, and he planned to keep her. 

It didn’t take long, the second chapter to be exact, for things to fall apart. A males ego apparently can grow to ugly proportion. His cruelty and nasty accusations destroyed his marriage, and drove his wife and daughter away. It took him four months to decide maybe he was wrong. Thus, begins the “bring them home” plan!

Unfortunately there wasn’t much of a plan. Libby finally had the chance to give him a piece of her mind and laid it out flat. It’s an emotional path that they travel, each trying to do what best for themselves and baby Clara. And they weren’t on the same path.

While Greyson’s working on receiving Libby’s forgiveness, Harris was also working through his and Tina’s situation. So we have double the emotions going on in this story. 

Throughout this story, we see Tina having issues with the baby. But no one knew the reasoning behind that. After Tina finally let’s Libby know the reason, Libby feels such grief over not knowing and being there for her. But, Tina stated because of their age difference she felt it wasn’t right to place that burden on her. 

I don’t want to spoil the story, so please buy this book! Find a quiet place with a box of tissues and read about redemption, forgiveness and what it takes to realize love. My heart thumped,  my eyes leaked and I fell in love with this story.

After reading 'More than anything' I could not wait to read 'Anything but this'. We already got to know the characters, Libby and Greyson, in the previous book and I was really excited about their story and how it would unravel. 

The story starts off in the hospital where Libby is giving birth. Soon after that Greyson made the vile accusations about Libby and her child. From there on, every thing moves a bit fast until we get to the part where Libby is settled in Riversend. Libby starts her live anew in this small town together with Tina. She is struggling with setting up a new business, maintaining a newly bought house that is about the break down, and taking care of her young daughter. Whilst she is dealing with all of this, Greyson decides to show up and "claim what is his". Libby, of course, does not want anything to do with this man but at the same time won't keep a father apart from his child. When Greyson discovers that he cannot easily fix the damage that he has inflicted with his accusation, he starts to take a different approach in the hopes of getting Libby and his daughter back. 

The road towards forgiveness is one filled with tragedy, pain and loss. Natasha Anders is one of the best authors when it comes to books where hurt and forgiveness play a key role, this book was no different. After reading the unwanted wife, I thought that no book would be able to live up this one; however, Nothing but this is quickly becoming one of my favorites. 

Libby was such an amazing strong woman. So much was thrown her way and through it all you could still see she the spark she had within her! The moment where you truly saw how strong and courageous she was, was when she forgave Greyson. I do not know if I would ever be able to come back from the things that were said in that hospital and for her to be able to do that, showed me her real strength. All I can say about this woman is that she is wonderful and deserves all the happiness she can get. 

Greyson was such an enigma. At the beginning of the story I did not know if I would ever be able to like him, let alone love him. Through reading his story he started to slowly break me down. Reading about his motives, his reasoning as to why and his feelings started to make me warm up to him. In the end I was able to understand and even love him. 

This book was such a whirlwind of pain, loss, friendship and love. After reading More than anything I had such high expectations of this book and the Natasha definitely lived up to them. All I can say is that Natasha Anders did, again, an exceptional job in writing this book. 

On a side note: I loved it how we got to meet the men and women of "Alpha man" series as well. it was amazing reading about how they have moved on with their lives and I would definitely be up for a sequel of their stories ;)

I also received the first book in this series via Netgalley but couldn't get into it and read some negative reviews so didn't read it. I requested book 2 as I liked the synopsis.

Again, I found it hard to get into at first but I stuck with it and it soon picked up around the time Greyson decides to get Libby back.

The story of the couple from the first book seems to run parallel with this book and they feature a lot. 

Greyson found out he was infertile age 19 after contacting mumps. He has known Libby for years and when he meets her again when they're older they fall straight into bed and he finds out she was a virgin. He asks her to marry him. The flashback scenes were more telling than showing and so it was hard to feel their connection or that they may have fallen in love. Fast forward to Libby giving birth and Greyson acting cool with her. He then tells her he's infertile and he knows the baby isn't his and that she has been unfaithful. What he doesn't tell her is he believes she has been unfaithful to him with his twin brother Harris (from book 1). Libby is then obviously done with him and moves away.

Greyson confronts Harris with his belief he has fathered the child and had an affair. He then realises how wrong he was and that the baby is his. However, he waits 4 months to contact Libby again. During this time he drank a lot. He does a lot of grovelling and tries to change his ways to win Libby back.

This went on for most of the book. I'm more a fan of alpha male heroes but I did like Greyson. He's very sweet. He's quite an insecure man and has always felt like a loner. He moves to where Libby and his daughter Clara are living and tries everything to win her back. He bonds immediately with his daughter and him and Libby become lovers again but Libby is still really hurt by Greyson and can't trust him. I liked how Greyson couldn't express himself well around Libby. I really felt his frustration and regret at how he had hurt Libby. When the story is told from Greyson's POV, it was refreshing to read how hurt a man feels and how his emotions are affected by his actions. There is an emotional part towards the end when Greyson decides to be completely honest with Libby. 

Libby is a very together person. She makes friends easily. Very similar to Travis. Yet Greyson keeps himself to himself and finds it hard to express his feelings, similar to Tina. I enjoyed this book but dropped 1.5 stars as the beginning and the flashbacks I didn't enjoy as much as the rest of the book. It would have worked better if we got to read about them falling in love, marrying and living together as man and wife whereas that is all just told to us and not shown.

Greyson and Libby have known each other their entire lives and have always been somewhat drawn to each other, but with Libby’s parents working for Greyson’s parents they are from different worlds and it’s just not possible for them to ever be together. Years later when he comes across a grown-up Libby, straight-laced Greyson decides to throw caution to the wind and go for what he wants. He and Libby marry, and it seems like life is perfect until a misunderstanding causes Greyson abandon his wife and their newborn daughter. When Greyson realizes his mistake, he does everything in his power to get his family back, but Greyson has burned a lot of bridges with his past actions. He not only has to win Libby back, he has to mend the relationship with his twin brother Harrison. 

Greyson and Libby were first introduced in Harrison and Tina’s story, and that’s where part of the problem for me with this book starts. When I read Harrison and Tina’s story I more intrigued by Greyson and Libby and couldn’t wait to read more about them, needless to say I was disappointed when it turned out that almost half of Greyson and Libby’s story is a retelling of what I read in book one and it made it very difficult to not just skim while reading. Once the book hit a certain point it picked up for me because I started to get more of Harrison and Libby that I didn’t know, and it turned out to be a pretty sweet story. If you didn’t read book one you will probably be okay. Although, there are some repeated scenes from Harrison and Libby as well. 
As far as the characters, I like the two of them. I have to admit, Libby wasn’t my favorite. This isn’t my first Natasha Anders book and I seem to follow a pattern in her books of not being a fan of the female heroines. I liked her but at the same time she was annoying. 

I love a second chance romance and I was eager for this story but it just didn’t hit me where I wanted it to.

One of the first romance novels I ever fell in love with was ‘The Unwanted Wife’ by Natasha Anders. I have probably re-read it about 20 times at this point. This is why I was so excited to be given the opportunity to read ‘Nothing But This’ early as an ARC in exchange for an honest review. 

Just like ‘The Unwanted Wife’ I absolutely adored this book also. I fell in love with Libby and Greyson the same way I did with Theresa and Sandro.

Libby and Greyson have known each other since they were children. Libby’s parents worked for Greyson’s and so they had been in each others lives forever. They lost touch for a few years before reconnecting as adults and marrying soon after. The story really begins when Libby gives birth to their child whom Greyson does not believe is his. 

Normally I hate these kinds of miscommunications in novels as I feel they are too often not explained well enough to be believable. However, here I could understand where Greyson was coming from. Although I was so angry with him at the start I could still sympathize and relate to his problems expressing himself.

As a heroine I loved Libby. She was strong and independent and didn’t just drop at Greyson’s feet after his betrayal. She also knew to put her child first always and I respected that immensely.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves romance the way I do.

I enjoyed the book and had much more sympathy for Grayson than I did in the first book. 

What really was surprising was how petty and selfish Libby was with her friend Tina. Because in this book we heard her impressions and inner monologues rather than Tina's in the first book it was surprising how critical and one-sided her friendship with Tina was.

Great story!

I love second-chance-romances and when it involves a couple that are married to one another it makes it all that more sweeter!  

Libby and Greyson initially had a whirlwind romance that had them dating, getting married, and pregnant all within a year!  The thing is, Greyson thinks there is no way he’s the father of Libby’s baby because he believes he’s infertile!  On the day their daughter was born, their relationship ended in a huge blowout!  Now after a couple months of regret, Greyson is determined to make things right and win back his wife (and family)!  The big question is Libby willing to give this relationship another go!?!?

Nothing But This is the second book in the Broken Pieces series and if you haven’t started this series yet, I really recommend it!  Natasha Anders does such a great job with pulling on your heartstrings and she definitely came through with that in this book!  I really liked Libby right off the bat, but Greyson had to do some serious groveling to Libby before he went into the “okay” column in my book lol!  I was seriously shocked that Natasha Anders somehow made me love him by the end!  I enjoyed this 4.5 star novel from start to finish!  I’m so excited for the next installment!!

One of my pet peeves when reading romance is when the heroines instantly and unrealistically forgive and forget completely horrific behaviors from the “heroes”. And, unfortunately, it happens often in that chase for happily ever after.  NOT so in this story!  In fact it is the exact opposite. 

For the first year of Greyson and Libby’s marriage, he acts absolutely dispicably - culminating in him claiming their child is not his because he is sterile, right after Libby has given birth.  Libby, who was a virgin before Greyson and has NEVER had or wanted anyone but him is absolutely devastated.  And, so is the reader!  The writing is so exquisitly penned that one feels every single knife stabbing LIbby’s tender heart.

The story that follows is the journey Greyson must take after discovering he could not have been further from the truth, and the consequences of all his actions because of his fatal misjudgement.  It is riveting reading for sure.

My only problem (and it was quite a big one for me) is in Libby’s neglect in taking responsibility for HER part in the problem.  Although nothing could justify Greyson’s behavior, LIbby’s actions were a very large reason why he believed what he did.  With nothing more than a short paragraph near the end, I didn’t ever feel she truly addressed the hurt SHE caused him with her exclusion from her life and friendships.
