Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me a copy to review.

As with all of O'Neill's books, The Tea Dragon Festival was adorable and heartfelt. You don't need to have read the first book, The Tea Dragon Society, but I would recommend it as it provides a background for tea dragons that aren't really discussed in this book. Not to mention, it is just as fabulous.

Katie O'Neill is an instant buy for me. Her art is charming. Her writing is solid. And the LGBTQ+ friendly kids graphic novels are wonderful. The Tea Dragon series is warm, cute, and comforting, like taking a break to have a cup of tea and biscuit. I recommend it for kids, but it's a title I'd own for myself.

I read a Tea Dragon book from Owlcrate and absolutely loved it, so when I saw The Tea Dragon Festival on netgalley, I was very excited. These are the cutest books I've ever read in my life.

A beautiful, enchanting and whimsical read that pulled at my heartstrings.
Katie O'Neil is one of the most talented and creative writers/illustrators today.
THE TEA DRAGON FESTIVAL had me feeling warm, cozy, and surprisingly emotional.
There was quite a diverse range of representation within that was lovely to see.
Touching positively on different sexualities, genders, and disabilities with including sign language and well as the use of pronouns them/they as well as discussing sex and gender. Even as an adult it included beautiful messaging to the reader. I truly cannot wait to read more of Katie's work, I have a warmed heart and have been blown away.

This may be one of the best comfort reads I've read recently. I loooved this and I didn't think it would be possible, but yes - even more than the Tea Dragon Society. The story is simple, yet has depth and it's SO easy to get invested in this world. It's not only the story, but the art that grabs your imagination. The art, as always, are very beautiful and so very suitable to the story and it's subtext. I hope Katie O'Neill has more stories to tell of the tea dragons and the beings who care for them. Thank you for letting me read the Tea Dragon Festival! We need more inclusive and comforting stories like this.

*I received an e-arc of the graphic novel from Net Galley in exchange for a review*

I have read all of Katie O'Neil's graphic novels which are amazing and beautifully illustrated and this story was no different. The story is actually a prequel to the first Tea Dragon story so we get to see the main couple from Tea Dragon Society in their early years. Of course their is lots of tea dragons some that are featured in the first book and as always lots of cooking. I love how there is always bits of diversity in this fantasy world, a male/male couple and a deaf side character. A very sweet and lovely story with a little bit of a budding romance.

Gorgeous illustrations and a perfect story to match them. I loved being in the Tea Dragon world once again, and I am still hoping for my own earl grey dragon to come into my life!

Dragons! Tea! What's not to love?!

This is a cute tale of traditions and culture, past and future, friendship and love, dragons and tea. It is a quick and easy read (maybe a little too quick - I was definitely left wanting more!) that will leave you with a strong desire for a Tea Dragon of your very own.

New Zealander Katie O'Neill (Princess Princess Ever After and the forthcoming Aquicorn Cove) writes and draws sumptuous comic books, filled with fantasy, magic and fabulous diverse characters. They are all, without exception, adorable.

Is there anything I don’t love about The Tea Dragon Festival? No, absolutely not. It’s exquisite! The illustrations are both beautiful and adorable simultaneously. The story and characters are heartwarming and teach good lessons about kindness, giving, selflessness and self acceptance and self love.

My favourite thing though, is the inclusion of sign language. I can’t actually put into words how much I love and appreciate that. I’ve often wished I knew how to sign or knew more about it.

Thank you to Netgalley for approving this for me to review!

This is another adorable story featuring the tea dragons.

This story has some of the same characters as The Tea Dragon Society, but it could be read as a stand-alone book. It has a different story. In this book, a dragon is woken up after sleeping for 80 years. This dragon is from a special clan, who was meant to look after the village. The characters try to reintroduce the dragon into their village.

One of the villagers was deaf, so the other people learned sign language. They would speak in sign language. This was demonstrated with the text in a different kind of text box, to show that it was being signed. I really liked this representation of sign language.

I love the illustrations in this series. The settings are beautiful, and remind me of fairy tales because of the flowers and plants. The dragons and tea dragons aren’t like typical dragons. These ones are cute and cuddly. They almost look like stuffed toys!

I really enjoyed this book!

Thank you Oni Press for providing a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

A great new entry in the Tea Dragon's Universe, complete with even more gorgeous artwork. The more I read about and see of this world, the more I want to see and live in it.
