I received this book as an ARC from netgalley. What a fabulous book about just being yourself. This story tells us how sometimes being ourselves and doing what we love most is what is most important. This book tells us how there isn't anything one gender can do better than the other. I couldn't wait to get to the end to see how the story of love unfolded

Great Read !!
I have read all of the books in Erica Ridleys new Series Wicked Dikes Club. This one was probably my favorite so far as I really liked the Idea of the Girl as a blacksmith. I think it was a great twist and totally worth the wait of reading the other books first. This book was a great continuation of the series :)
I volunteer to read this book from WebMotion in exchange for my honest feedback, the thoughts and opinions expressed within are my own.

I am truly enjoying this series. The novellas are always fun and lovely, with only nice heroes who are know for being kind and decent instead of relishing in a rakish reputation or something like that. Only once in a while does a heroine with a Cause come along, and for some reason I never really enjoy those.

I like the pairing of a hero without a title who works for a living (in a smithy!) and a Duke's sister. If I hadn't already known Felicity from previous books, this would make no sense if you didn't know that before her brother inherited his title, they both lived, parentless, in poverty, and that Felicity has a hard time letting go of her past and settling into life as a member of the ton. She is desperate to find a husband who will not only allow her to further her Cause (rescuing children and making sure they don't have to suffer as she had), but support it. It just never occurred to her to look for someone without a title...
In the beginning, I had a hard time liking Felicity, because as Giles assumes in the beginning, it did seem a bit mercenary how she goes about her hunt for a husband. But she grew on me after a while, especially after remembering a bit more about her backstory from previous books.

Giles was another of Ridley's Nice Guys. He has been working all his life making carriages and racing them, taking in poor children from the community and giving them a chance.
I really liked him. He was just lovely, and I loved how he didn't try to change Felicity, but supported her every step of the way.

Giles, a blacksmith, is asked to help one of his best customer's win a race. When he agreed, he didn't know that he would be working with the duke's sister. As he falls for her, he knows that she is way out of league but you can't help where the heart leads you.

Before her brother came into the dukedom, Felicity did what was necessary to survive. This included acting as a younger brother and working as a blacksmith. Unlike her brother, she really loved the work and continued it after their fortune changed. She loves the idea of working with Giles, but she has no plans to marry. So when she starts falling for the man, she is torn.

Will this unlikely duo find their HEA?

I really enjoyed Giles and Felicity's story! I like when their is a class different with the H/H because it usually causes some extra level of drama to the story. I also really like that they shared an interest in working on carriages. It was something they had in common other than their mutual attraction. This was a great addition to the Wicked Dukes Club series!

After struggling to connect with the characters in the last two installments of the Wicked Duke, I was so concerned that something was wrong with me and I was getting burned out on historical romances. Now, that may be the case, but what I truly needed was Felicity and Giles in my life. I was fond of Felicity in her brother’s book, but spending more time with her story has convinced me that she could be my best friend! I absolutely adored One Night to Remember.

Felicity being a lady mechanic with a penchant for wearing trousers spoke to my love of women masquerading as men. I had no problem understanding and sympathizing with her pursuit of a rich, titled gentleman to read her goals. Giles, with his soft spot for children living in the rough and egalitarian values, prompted laughter and a bit of swooning in this reader. For being a mechanic with little time for chasing the ladies, Giles was awfully romantic.

There is just so much to love about One Night to Remember but I definitely want to highlight Giles’s warm, loving, supportive family. I love how relaxed and open both parents were towards Felicity despite the limited amount of time Giles has spent working by her side.

Do yourself a favor and pick up One Night to Remember, settle into your favorite reading spot and get swept away by this delightful, quick romance. After that, if you haven’t read all the Wicked Dukes then circle back so you get a chance to see Cole and his kitten again. I am so excited to see what Ridley and Burke come up with next!

I loved it! I didn't realize it was a novella when I requested it, but it held up as a novella. Sometimes I find them to be short and lacking character development, but I didn't feel like anything was lacking in this story.

3/5 Stars.

Another sweet and enjoyable addition to the Wicked Dukes Club by Erica Ridley. I'm really liking the world the two ladies have created in this two-author series. This was the 5th book in the series, and so far I'm yet to be dissapointed by anything in this series. A lovely almost-impossible romance between the sister of a Duke and a common blacksmith.

I received this book from the author and publisher for an honest review. This does not in any way affect my opinion of the story or character.

Felicity Sutton, has lived a very unique life and it's about to get even more topsy-turvy. She lived on the streets for years, working in a smithy to survive, all alone with only her older brother Cole for protection. She's survived hungry days and nights, always living hand to mouth and not knowing when the next meal would be. She's also seen how many other children live in the same state as she and her brother, but not all are as lucky as her. Not all have a big brother to protect them, and more so, not all of them are one day plucked out of nowhere and announced the heirs to a Dukedom. Out of the blow Cole is found and proved as the heir to the Duke of Colehaven, thus turning her from street urchin into Lady Felicity.

Giles Langford, The Curricle King, is a bit more well-adjusted than Felicity. He grew up in a loving home, and has expanded his father smithy business tenfold. He's infamous across London as a great curricle racer, and also to be a charming, devastatingly handsome fellow - you know a mandate in such books. Don't roll your eyes.

Giles is hired by the Duke of Colehaven to up-keep his prize curricle, ride in a race in his name and to win and any cost. He also has an added request - that Giles work with Felicity in a equal capacity as noone knows about the mechanics of his curricle as well as his sister. Felicity and Giles, both healthy fine specimens of their gender, are thrown together in close quaters. Take a guess where we go from here.

It's truly sweet to read their romance blossom, and I enjoyed their scenes together. However I do feel like the author didn't do as much in this book to really make us feel for them. The heat for one was completely lacking. While, I might overlook that - It just felt like that enough time wasn't given to their love story. It felt like they had fallen in love and we just had to accept it without really getting to experience it with them. Usually, you like to be taken through a journey with the characters, not just told what it is.

Here is where I think this book lost out a bit - but otherwise it was a lovely, short read.

Will be sure to read the next one!

This series is fantastic and this might be one of my favorite titles of the series!

I love a historical romance that features a hero that isn’t part of the aristocracy. I think it’s very refreshing and it was one of the reasons I loved Giles. Plus, he was just such a good guy. And I loved Felicity too. Erica Ridley is so good at creating unique heroines.

I felt the plot was quite original and couldn’t wait for every scene Felicity and Giles were in together. The sexual tension definitely kept me turning the pages and wanting more.

I cannot wait for the next title in this series!

One Night to Remember by Erica Ridley is the fifth book in the Wicked Dukes Club. This book focuses on Lady Felicity and the famous racer Giles Langford. This series is being written by two authors Erica Ridley is writing all the odd number books and Darcy Burke writes all the even number books.

Lady Felicity has researched all the available men of the ton and decided to focus on one certain one. He is only a marquess, but believes in making life better for the many children without homes, food and safety, just like her. He also is incredibly rich and she will not have to live without resources ever again. The only problem is she can never share her true love with him, making racing carriage. She loves figuring them out and how to make them even faster. She is a lady mechanic, when such a thing is not acceptable. She meets the famous Giles Langford and is finally able to work on something and not be a secret. How freeing it is!

One Night To Remember by Erica Ridley is a quick fun read. I enjoyed the growing story between Felicity and Giles. I also liked how she let the world know at the end by her entering her brother’s pub. I thought the story might have wrapped up quickly, but nonetheless One Night to Remember by Erica Ridley was a great read.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

One Night To Remember, by Erica Ridley, is book five in the Wicked Dukes Club series. Available for purchase 6-11-19, this is the story I've been waiting for, Giles Langford. I was interested in his character in the pervious books and my hope for his own tale came true.

Giles Langford, aka The Curricle King, is a respected blacksmith and a hell of a whip. His curricle, Baby, is like the wind, rushing by his opponents like a gale. He's talented, clever, and never out of control during a race or in his smithy. He earns a lot of Benjamins racing gigs he's souped-up for his clients. Giles even has his own fan club, women and men. It doesn't hurt that he's handsome and makes the ladies sigh. He has a pretty good life and is, mostly, content.

Lady Felicity Sutton has know poverty, hunger, fear of the future while worrying about today. She's determined to never go hungry again and find a way to help other children in need. She thinks marrying a wealthy peer is the way to make her dreams come true. Turns out Felicity is a terrific mechanic, it's how she and Giles meet. There's a BIG race coming up & they're determined to win it. Giles lets Felicity just be herself and she loves him for it. Giles has found a partner in life and he loves her for it. The forge is not the only thing hot when these two are in the smithy.

I found One Night To Remember to be a lovely story about learning to be yourself and finding that someone who lets you and loves you as you are. The next book, and end of the series, will be One Night Of Temptation by Darcy Burke. I'm waiting patiently. Happy reading.

This is such a good story in the Wicked Dukes series. Felicity Sutton who is the sister of the Duke of Colehaven, one of the owners of the Wicked Duke pub has not always had the life she has now. Cole was not always a duke. Their childhood took them to surviving in a blacksmith shop. She loves working on Cole's carriages. Of course nobody can know that if she is to marry well.
Giles Langford is an excellent blacksmith as well as an excellent driver, especially in a race. He also tries to help the children of the area. He has no money though and if it were not fro that he would be perfect. He has to admit Felicity is as good at working on carriages as he is. Can they find love?

Lady Felicity Sutton feels more at home in the ‘smithy’ than in the ballrooms of London. Having grown up poor with her brother, who has since inherited a title as the Duke of Colehaven (Cole). However, she realises that if she marries well, she will please her brother and be able to help children facing poverty, like she had. This is her plan but finding the husband that will help her fulfil her dream, has proven difficult until she meets Lord Raymore. Whilst he is older, she believes that he will accommodate her wishes. Until he proposes, she has one last dream which is to modify her brother’s curricle so that he will win a proposed race. Cole agrees but on the condition that she works with Giles Langford, a coach smith who has worked for Cole. It is soon planned that Giles will race Cole’s curricle, further establishing him as the Curricle King. What neither of them planned, was to fall helplessly in love.
Once again, Erica Ridley spins a wonderful story that will hold your attention from beginning to the very end. Whilst Giles and Felicity are separated by their position in society, which seems fathoms apart, this story makes it seem all possible. I just wish that the stories in this series went for a bit longer, in order to draw out the characters and their romance. I must admit that I found ‘One night to remember’ a bit rushed.
Overall, a great read and a wonderful addition to a thoroughly enjoyable series.

Felicity Sutton knows poverty firsthand and she never wants to go back. Being the sister of a duke might give her money, status and more advantages than she was born with but it doesn’t stop her from missing the smithy or the desperation of an empty belly or no home. She is determined to save as many children as she can from having to live like that. To achieve her goal she needs to marry a wealthy ton suitor, giving her stability and wealth. She has no reason to say no… until a handsome daredevil enters her life.

Notorious throughout London, Giles Langford is surprised when he finds out that the mechanic that the Duke of Colehaven wants him to work with his a girl and even more shocked when it is revealed that she is his sister. He can not stop himself from falling in love with her. But with no title Giles can not offer her the connections and wealth that a man from high society could. All he has to offer her is his heart… and to be completely herself.

I think that this might be my favourite book in the series. Probably because the two leads have so much in common and spend so much of the book together talking, bantering and doing the thing(s) that they love.

I felt that this book was very much about being oneself and not settling for what is expected of you. Felicity started off feeling like she had to hide her interests and what she wanted in the hope of securing the right match. And as the story progressed was able to have more opportunities to be herself. Mainly when she was with Giles, and in front of others towards the end of the book.

The fact Felicity was able to be herself, in a time and society where it was frowned upon, with Giles I thought was adorable. Throughout the book Felicity repeats the fact that she feels like herself and thanks Giles for allowing her to be and not for judging her for being herself. Giles also repeats that he wants her to be happy and just be herself. He doesn’t bat an eye at her being a mechanic or wearing trousers, but he is surprised that she’s a duke’s sister and therefore out of his league.

The relationship between the two felt pretty organic. There was a bit of insta-attraction, more on Giles’ side than Felicity’s, but it didn’t feel heavy-handed or shoved in your face. The only issue I had was the length of time that the two characters knew each other for. I just feel like it would make more sense if they knew each other for more than fourteen days. I liked that there was deadline for how long they could be in each others lives for, but I would have liked it to have maybe been a bit longer. I felt like the ending was pretty rushed. A lot happened towards the end that was jammed together with little space between them and I would have liked it more if it had been a bit more spaced out.

One of the things that I loved about this book was that the two main characters both didn’t grow up with money but ended up with money in some way. Also, I loved that Giles didn’t have a title or was a member of high society unlike other main characters in the series so far. I thought it was really interesting to have both characters having similar backgrounds of growing up with little money and having to work to live, and then having money and connections (in very different ways). Honestly, I just really loved all the different the parallels between Giles and Felicity.

I really enjoyed reading this book. I really liked the characters and thought this was a really fun read. I don’t think you need to have read the other books in this series if you don’t want to as each book focuses on two different main characters. Some characters do appear from past books but those that are important to the characters and/or plot are obviously explained. Such as Felicity’s brother, who is the male protagonist in the first book in the series. If you have read the other books in the series, or you enjoy historical romance, then I would definitely recommend that you read this book.

Loved this story. It was great to read a story where the two leads didn't dislike each other and then that turns to love. The heroine was unconventional, but love wins through in the end. Just as it should!

Lady Felicity thinks she mustn't be her true self now that she is the sister of the Duke of Colehaven instead of a starving smith's apprentice in trousers. For a decade she has shed that role and assumed the next, of a blue-blooded spouse-hunter; she follows the lead of the only family she's ever known. At least by marrying well she will have means to rescue more unfortunates like she was.

All this rings hollow once she meets Giles Langford, 'the Curricle King'. For once they are assigned to work in tandem upon the Duke's racing rig which was her design, these two mechanics can never go back to pretending their lives are complete if they remain apart. Thanks to the unique venue which is her brother's pub 'The Wicked Dukes' Club', where all levels of society are permitted to mingle, they have a chance to be a team for more than one memorable night.

I was unable to finish this book. I didn't enjoy the characters or their interests. And their wasn't enough tension or even sexual interest between the characters before their immediate attraction to one another. I've read other books by the author and enjoyed them, but not this one.

I loved this story. It was well told. I usually don't like stories that have the separate classes coming together, but this one was done in a way that I could overlook it and actually feel it could have happened.
Giles is an excellent whip, an excellent racer and an excellent smithy. He is well respected by the gentry and lorded by the middle and lower classes.
Lady Felicity is the sister of a Duke. But she hadn't always been. She was an orphan from a very young age and knew what it was like to go hungry. She learned a trade, to be a smithy, to help pay for the bills, so they could eat and sleep. She feels compassion for those children living on the streets and wants to help them any way she can. Her best way is to marry well, so she has set her sights on a Marquess.
But then she meets Giles. He's everything she ever wanted to be, but he can't help her with her goals of helping starving children.
Which way will she go?
It was a great story to see develop. I loved Giles parents.
I fully recommend this story and thank the author and netgalley for a free copy in exchange for a review.

As always, with Erica Ridley's books, I know I'll have a satisfying historical romance read. And this next installment of the Wicked Dukes is no exception.

Giles Langford is a friend of the Duke of Colehaven though he's not a peer, nor will he ever be. But he's the best whip around, racing a mean curricle that no one can beat. And unfortunately, he's fallen for the one woman he can never have - Colehaven's sister, Lady Felicity Suttion.

But Felicity was not raised in the ton, and quite frankly, is more at ease in trousers working in a smithy. She knows she must marry for title and money, if only it will help her provide money for a chartiy for children. So Giles is out of the question. But the more they work together (for a race Colehaven has bet on), the more they realize they can't fight the attraction toward one another. And the more Felicity stops to think about Giles, she sees he already provides for needy children, giving them a place to work at his smithy.

Alas, the love is sweet and satisfying, the heroine is strong and sassy, and the hero is swoon-worthy.
