I want the thank NetGalley, Nicola Marsh, and the publisher for the Arc of the scandal. I had never heard of this author and when I read about this book I knew that had to change. It sounded like a book that was right up my ally and I was not disappointed at all!
This book is so twisty and every single person in the book has secrets that keep you guessing. I was up half of the night finishing it because it was so suspenseful. Marisa is pretty lonely ever since her twins have left the home. She fills up part of her time having coffee dates with her friends Elly and Claire but soon come to find they have secrets of there own but when a pregnant young girl named Jodi comes knocking at Marisa's door asking for help things really start to take a tumble. Marisa is quick to help her but could that decision come with dire consequences? And who is the father of Jodi's baby? Ugh this book was so good I didn't want it to end and the twist and turns were great. Check this one out if you like thrillers and suspense.

Three friends, a pregnant young woman, and a lot of secrets.
The characters were interesting and well developed, and the plot was good! This is one of these hard-to-put-down books.
I didn't enjoy the writing in some portions of the book, and while some reveals were surprising (especially the very final one!), some others were way too obvious.
I overall enjoyed this read.

I picked up this book because it sounded similar to Big Little Lies. Although this book didn't give me everything that Big Little Lies did, I really enjoyed this book! There were some areas I skimmed over but I was super into the plot and really just needed to find out who did it! This book kept me guessing the whole time! A perfect book for the summer because it gives you a great mystery and thrilling aspect but still being a fairly light and quick beachy read!

Edge of your seat thriller with many surprises! A book you will struggle to put down and will be eager to get to the end!

Loved loved loved this book. Really terrific and different from all the other novels of domestic abuse, cheating spouses, and more of same, Thus one had a totally different twist and spin to the plot, unique and mesmerizing, it had me from the first age, and didn't let go until the last. Hope this author writes more!

This is the first book I read by Nicola Marsh and boy I can’t wait to read another one by her. This books name says it all. It had everything. Secrets, lies, affairs, you name it and it had it.

This book was about a group of friends who couldn’t be more different from each other but also had a deep loyalty and love for one another. All of them had their secrets but kept it very well hidden until a new woman shows up pregnant in town. That’s when all their worlds turn upside down. They are no longer able to hide from their demons. As they say the truth will set you free.

Where do I start with this book? I just absolutely loved it. I normally don’t go for this type of book but I’m so glad I did. It all starts when a young pregnant woman shows up in town. Everyone’s secrets start coming out one by one. That was my favorite part, each chapter there was some new revelation that came out. I never knew what the next chapter would bring. I just loved how the author made these characters mesh so well together. All of them were so different from each other but still had this loyalty and friendship that every person needs and craves. The friendship these characters had was once in a lifetime and that’s what made the book so great. I can’t say enough good things about this book.

Between the plot, characters and all the twists in this book it made it an easy and fast read. I would definitely recommend it and happily give it 5 Hearts❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Love this story!! So many twists and turns but so well written that you never loose the story. It’s almost like you are a fly on the wall to the characters lives. Very very good book!

The Scandal is a thrill ride that keeps you guessing and is full of surprises. The story follows three women whom I nicknamed the three musketeers of secrets. One is running around sleeping with husbands, one is baking quiches, and the other is chasing down bad guys. The three women form an unlikely if not bizarre friendship. One secret leads to the other and a tangle of people somehow come together to create a mind trip of a read. Just when it appears that the story is drawing to a close there pops out another shock. It will keep you guessing till the last page and does not disappoint.

The Scandal is a engrossing thriller that I could not put down. Fantastic characters and storyline. Well written and great twists.

I thought I had the plot figured out quite a few times but this story twists and turns at a rapid pace and I loved it!

I had a hard time giving a rating to this book. The first 80% of it was a complete 5 star book for me, but I was pretty disappointed with the last portion. First of all, this story is INCREDIBLE! I loved the friend group, the different perspectives, the setting, the writing style, it all worked so well. At first I was horrified that I figured out the "twist" right away but that was the beauty of it. Marsh introduces the hidden secret but hides whose husband is responsible throughout the book. BRILLIANT. It was so fun going back and forth and I was convinced multiple times that I had it figured out when I never actually did.

I was sucked into this world immediately and felt I was part of the friend group. I loved how real they all were and their flaws were highlighted despite their picture perfect lives. I think the character of Elly fell apart at the end but Marisa will forever be one of my favorite characters. She was saw raw and real, I just loved her.

The ending however, it almost felt like it was written by someone else? The writing became rushed and everything was just sort of revealed in a spit out at the reader kind of way. The perpetrators went from scummy to straight up evil and I wasn't buying it. I feel like the magic was lost and there was so much repetition. Between "the lover', the date rape drug, and the three girls backgrounds stories I feel like someone had to reach a word count quota and kept repeating the same thing.

Despite the ending, I truly did enjoy this book. It will stick with me for a while afterwards and I don't think I've ever read a thriller quite like this one before. Would definitely recommend!

This was a really good read for me and a perfect beach read !!! Marissa , Claire and Elly are best friends . each one is hiding something from the others . When a young pregnant girl Jodie turns up on their doorstep with her own secrets and agenda they take her under their wing and try and help her , setting off a dramatic chain of events that will end in bloodshed and murder . An entertaining read and I liked all the women

I wasn’t sure from the blurb how believable this was going to be. However it is incredibly well crafted,- twisty and thrilling, I read it in less than 24 hours.

The Scandal was a highly enjoyable and thrilling novel. I raced through this book, unable to put it down. Highly recommend, you won’t be disappointed.
