Flash Point by Shelli Stevens, a fast paced romance. A great addition to the Holding Out for a Hero series. Loved the character development, just the right amount of spicy contact and storyline. I look forward to reading more in the series and by this author.

I received an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. Thank you NetGalley.
This was a quick read, very enjoyable, that had some really hot scenes.
Kate, the town baker, has a secret (or apparently not so secret) crush on Todd, a firefighter and brother-in-law to her best friend. Kate has been hurt in the past, and has not trusted someone enough to have a physical relationship with them.
Todd is a local firefighter, town Casanova, and determined to keep Kate in the friend zone he has placed her in. One New Year's Eve night changed all that. After their night of passion Kate and Todd struggle to define their relationship and how they can make each other happy. Meanwhile, someone is trying to hurt Kate and ruin her bakery. Can Todd rescue Kate before it's too late, and will they ever find their happily ever after?
I recommend this book to anyone looking for a little romance mixed with some steamy moments!

I love a good contemporary romance that is sweet, fun and easy. I admit that it has been some time that I've read a contemporary romance that is not dark/angsty/steamy.

I love the setting of the story. I'm a sucker for anything that involves bakery and even though the story doesn't exactly take place a whole lot in the bakery, Kate's a baker. That's already a plus point, as far as I'm concerned.

I'd considered this almost drama-free, which is precisely what I needed at the time of writing. So I read this story at a perfect time which probably contributes to my affinity to Kate and the story as a whole. But honestly, there's very little thing to NOT like about this story. It's short, but the pace is appropriate enough for you to be convinced of their romance.

Thank you Netgalley and Tule Publishing for the online copy. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own

Friends-to-lovers trope has always been a favorite, adding in the unrequited love element always make it better. Flash Point, book 3, in the Holding out for a Hero series definitely has both.

After Kate plants a drunken kiss on Todd at an engagement party, that took place in a prior book, Todd has not been able to forget it. She has always been the little sister and even though he is a player, he never went there with her. Unfortunately, that is all he can think about, but he is still determined to fight it. However, Kate has other ideas, she wants to get rid of her virginity and decided Todd was the perfect person to help her with that. She knows he is not a relationship kind of guy and she was okay with it. Things definitely changes for Todd when all is revealed.

Kate and Todd’s story was sweet, cute and pretty steamy for a novella. The little bit of suspense added to Todd finally realizing what Kate meant to him. Overall, a great story.

Thank you Netgalley and Tule Publishing for the complimentary copy of Flash Point. All opinions are my own.

The story of Kate and Todd.

Kate has always had a crush on Todd, and now she is finally going to act on it. Once they get together things aren't so simple, and add in the fact that someone seems out to hurt Kate, will Todd be able to save her?

A short but entertaining read.

Kate has always been attracted to Todd. She considers him a bit of a man whore, one who would never be attracted to her. WRONG. Todd, who comes across as weak, admits he is attracted to Kate.
Their story continues along, with insecurities, lust, mystery and a little bit of danger.
Overall, it was an ok read. I found the constant insecurities got boring after a while.
(I wouldn’t classify this book as erotica, more spicy romance or just simple romance)

Kate has some willpower on her, “you know, I’m just going to go inside now, before you say something that makes me give in to the urge to drive my knee into your balls.” I liked this book, I liked Todd.

Short, steamy and to the point. Kate and Todd’s story was a long time coming after the first 2 book and it didn’t disappoint!! I’m glad Todd finally manned up and saw what was right in front of his face. Great read and great addition to the series!!

First I've read in the series, but wasn't lost. This is Todd and Kate's story. Only issue I had was that it was a novella, so short and missing areas that could have benefited from more details. For example, more on her her past history to explain why she was a virgin. And who Penny was, as it didn't show why she was the one they suspected of causing damage. Minor though, as the hot sex between them was the main focus of the book. Liked it, and would recommend.

Absolutely loved this book. Read it in about 4 hours! Normally I tend to stay away from cliche firefighter stories, mainly because I feel like they’re over told. But I have to say, this one was amazing.
Kate: I love her character. I love that she’s innocent yet confident. She’s not written as a typical size zero and she’s okay with that. She’s spunky and isn’t afraid to call Todd out on his crap.
Todd: Well aside from the obvious fact that he sounds absolutely beautiful, he is deep down a genuinely good guy. Sure, he’s known as a womanizer, but he treats Kate well and makes sure he respects her.
I love seeing the internal battles they have with themselves throughout the book. I love the friends turned lovers plot. I love the fact that they both have situations from their pasts, that neither one knows about, that shaped them into who they were now. And I loved the added drama from the shop vandalism along with the twist of who the culprit is. (Although I have to say, it was slightly predictable.)
Definitely give this 5/5 and would recommend anyone read it!

My most favorite thing about this book, is how Todd calls Kate doll. I love the Roaring Twenties. And all the men always called their significant others doll affectionately.

Couldn't put this book down! Read it in one day! A super cute short story with great romance, a little mystery and a lot of steamy scenes! This is the 3rd book in the series & I can't wait to read the next!

A cute story. Not a very deep story but a well told one. You don’t get to deep into the characters story but it’s not what you really read these books for.
