Due to a sudden, unexpected passing in the family a few years ago and another more recently and my subsequent (mental) health issues stemming from that, I was unable to download this book in time to review it before it was archived as I did not visit this site for several years after the bereavements. This meant I didn't read or venture onto netgalley for years as not only did it remind me of that person as they shared my passion for reading, but I also struggled to maintain interest in anything due to overwhelming depression. I was therefore unable to download this title in time and so I couldn't give a review as it wasn't successfully acquired before it was archived. The second issue that has happened with some of my other books is that I had them downloaded to one particular device and said device is now defunct, so I have no access to those books anymore, sadly.

This means I can't leave an accurate reflection of my feelings towards the book as I am unable to read it now and so I am leaving a message of explanation instead. I am now back to reading and reviewing full time as once considerable time had passed I have found that books have been helping me significantly in terms of my mindset and mental health - this was after having no interest in anything for quite a number of years after the passings. Anything requested and approved will be read and a review written and posted to Amazon (where I am a Hall of Famer & Top Reviewer), Goodreads (where I have several thousand friends and the same amount who follow my reviews) and Waterstones (or Barnes & Noble if the publisher is American based). Thank you for the opportunity and apologies for the inconvenience.

With the current cost of medical care these days, I can see why this book would be entertaining. Imagine your wife needs surgery, and someone offers you a out of jail for free card. Kill someone else, and you get the money you need. This is quite a moral dilemma and I must say, a lot of people will pretend to take the higher ground, but a lot would take the chance. All for family isn't it.

Gary was leading a smooth decent time. Life decides to put a power brake and his life comes to a sudden screeching halt. He is at a crossroad where he needs to choose between two emotionally bad decisions. He can choose either, but none of the choices will let him be the man he used to be!

Gary and Beth Foster were expecting their first child. Gary is also running a decent business with his brother Rod. But one afternoon life as he knew changes. He receives two news

- Beth has a life-threating tumour in her brain.

- And to cure they would need $200,000

He is at crossword if he takes $200,000 for Beth's, he might have to give up his morality. And if he doesn't, he might lose Beth to the tumour. What matters is what route does he take?

The story revolves around Gary, Beth, Gary's brother Rod, his wife Sarah and Otto Brennan. Each of the characters has their space, their motives are clear. Halfway through the book, you know where the story is leading. But that's not what it's about! It is so much more than just the end. As a reader, you would l feel intensely for Gary and would like to see how he moves on with his morality. Hunt has portrayed a wonderful novel through his words.

Crime fiction with a unique perspective, sometimes the choices are not easy to make. They can be sometimes soul wringing. The author pokes the reader with this thought. Life is not about having easy choices sometimes they are just between bad and worse. And while you choose you are left with moral questions at hand!

How far would you go to save someone you love?
This is the question Gary has to face in this book.
It's a fast paced well written story, that kept me reading, I'll be on the lookout for more by this author.

This was an interesting thriller with a good premise. I found it a little slow and confusing in parts and found myself drifting, but overall it was worth the read!

When i read the blurb i was all in because i wanted to see how this story unfolds.
Infertility or miscarriage is a difficult topic for every couple and every time i read about it, i am interested to see how the author touches the subject.
It's a pretty fast-paced read, with characters reliable and that could easily be some of our friends, a heartbreaking story when losing the only person that you love the most in this life makes you go to that extent to be willing to do whatever it takes to save and be with her. The writing was great, but the story itself felt a bit out of touch and my only complain because there're always a million other options to appeal to before selling your soul to the devil.

Thanks to the publisher, author and NetGalley for my copy.

This is a gripping thriller that had me hooked from the first few pages.
Gary and Beth are devastated to learn that she has an inoperable brain tumour. They are then told about a trial in Germany that could help but it will cost £200,000.
They start a fund raiser but can’t get anywhere near enough money.
Gary then receives a phone call offering him to meet about the money. He goes to meet the stranger and is shocked when he’s told he’ll get the money - if he kills someone for him.
Gary can’t contemplate murdering someone else to save his wife - can he?
Gary runs a business with his brother Rod and soon he’s involved too.
Life becomes more and more complicated and with Beth’s health deteriorating time is running out.
This is a great story that I’d recommend for anyone who likes a good thriller.
Thanks to Orion Publishing Group and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book.

A real dilemma awaits Gary and Beth after Beth collapsed. She was taken to the hospital Gary got the call and obviously went, now the news created a situation beyond anything that was ever anticipate. Suddenly Gary gets a call.with a offer that seems to good to be true. It was too good to be true because of the offer held one conditio. His reaction was no no no. However he was given a few days to think about it. Did Gary say yes or did he say no. It takes you on a journey that's almost impossible to believ. The twist and turns are coming almost from every direction that you just do not know what to expect next it's a powerful book of love, tears, tears that do make you really do have to sit back and think what you personally would do in his situation. I found myself not wanting to put the book down. Unfortunately due to me having cancer I had no choice but to put it down for awhil. However it was on and off my mind when I was well enough to completely think about this book. I rascals annoyed .Because I was welcomed truly hooked, on?e of the best mystery thrillers I have read where someone has to make such huge amount of choices. Brilliant written with good or bad choices having to be made. Ones I genuinely would not be able to make, this is a defiantly a must-read book, it's easy to say you would do this you would do thst, the author as captured the reality of what would you really do though. You are in the book net Justin the edge saying this that band the other the author drags you into the reality of the situation so much so it's not a easy choice for anyone to make. I believe if a author can bring housings into a book then there's sign of a damn good author reading is being involved not say on the outside. Brilliant phenomena. I must read do not let yourself down by not reading this book because if you do you really are missing out .

This was a rollercoaster ride for me. At one stage my heart was pounding so fast it had me that gripped.

Gary Foster has been married to his wife for 19 years they had been trying to start a family for many years but had accepted it just wasn’t going to happen. Then one day Beth found herself pregnant and both husband and wife were so happy. But 6 months into the pregnancy Gary gets a phone call that will change his life forever. Beth had collapsed and had been taken to hospital. Gary dashes to see what was wrong. After numerous tests they find that she has a brain tumour which is at stage four. It is inoperable the only thing that may help is chemotherapy which Beth undergoes but when she goes back after the allocated amount of treatments have been done she is told the rumour is still the same. The only other option is to try and get on a drug trial programme. They look into this the treatment which they are accepted on but it’s in Germany and will cost £200,000! money they just don’t have. They start a fund raising page on the internet but the money is coming in so slowly and Beth doesn’t have time on her side. Gary gets a phone call from a mysterious man asking him to meet him telling him he can end all of his problems. When they meet the man has a proposition but what is it?

How far would you go to save the love of your life? Could you commit a crime if it meant you had a chance of saving your partners life? These are the questions Gary has to ask himself. I loved this book full of devious crooked characters as well as decent everyday people trying to make a living. Gary has to fight to save his own life! As well as his wife’s but at what cost will all of this come. Read this book to find out.

Gary and Beth were married and she was pregnant . After falling in a store she was diagnosed with a brain tumour which was unoperable.
They were told the only cure was to go to Germany for treatment.
They did not have the money and was impossible to get the money through fund raising.
Gary would do anything to save Beth, and that meant killing a police officer.
This was a good story, just got a bit silly sometimes.
