I’ve been waiting for book 2 in this series and it did not disappointNate’s and Keely’s story is so sweet. The only two complaints I have are that we don’t get as much of a sense of Last Stand as we do in some of the other series based on the town and that there wasn’t more conflict between Nate and his dad. Nate and Keely have a complicated past and she is an amazingly strong woman but has built up such barriers to protect herself and her sister. Allowing Nate back into her life is both familiar (but not necessarily comfortable ) and incredibly challenging - especially if she is willing to open up to him.

I wanted to love this novel. It has a promising plot, beautiful setting and lovable characters. But I struggled to stay engaged with Game On, partly because there were a lot of issues that never went below surface level. Everything was skimmed over and taken care of within a few pages. If you’re looking for a quick Summer read, Game On may be the book for you.

I liked the storyline but I got confused at times when the characters kept changing. Also I think the ending could have been a little more detailed instead of just cut off but overall I liked the book.

Nate is just a resourceful man, “when I say ‘make,’I meant I could make food appear,”he clarified, closing the distance between them until only a couple of feet separated them. “By calling for delivery.” I liked this book, I loved Nate.

Game On by Joanne Rock,, a great addition to the Texas Playmakers series. A sure win in the romance department. A possible second change storyline. Looking forward to upcoming books in series.

This is Novella size and is a quick and easy read. It stars Nate who is a baseball player recovering from an injury and his ex Keely and is a fun 2nd chance romance.

Keely dumped Nate when he made the pros because she needed to stay at home and take care of her sister and dad. But she has always loved Nate. Can they make it work a 2nd time? Well you will have to read to find out.

This was a short read and enjoyable. Its light reading without too much angyst and takes place in a small town.
