It's a clear nicely illustrated straightforward story which is very traditional in structure and layout. Nice message for when someone is lost.

This TV-show tie-in isn't terrible, but it isn't great, either. There are a number of technical issues with the writing (verb tense switches, misplaced punctuation, etc.) and the whole narrative seems rather stilted.

The story is fairly simple: Caillou visits the museum with his family. While he's daydreaming, he loses track of his family. So he stays put until his parents find him.

The message of staying put when you're lost in a public place is fine, but it's not very much to hang a whole book on. This story is probably only going to be suitable for the youngest of readers (who are, presumably, the audience for the TV show as well).

The illustrations are bright and garish, just like the TV show. Their appeal is likely to be limited to little kids.

Overall, this isn't awful, but I wish the editing/proofreading had been a little cleaner. It's such a short book, so having that many errors makes it seem like it was rushed to publication.

I have read a few Caillou books now and I was delighted to see that there was a new book out for him that featured a trip to the Dinosaur Museum! This story features the importance of what to do if you get lost in a public place and how you must go to where was agreed/stay where was agreed so your parents can find you. It is 4 stars from me for this one, lovely images in the book and highly recommended!

While not a particularly familiar figure to me, Caillou may be more familiar to children and the bright engaging character will quickly capture the attention of young children,

When Caillou and his family go to the dinosaur museum, Caillou is so excited to explore with his toy dinosaur. When he starts daydreaming, he realises that his family cannot be seen. Will he remember what he has been taught about what he should do if he gets lost? And will he soon be reunited with his family?

The bright pictures and simple story will quickly engage young children and the message of what to do if you get lost and who you should ask for help is conveyed clearly through colourful cartoons and child-friendly language.

I received and e-ARC of this book from the publishers via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review

The kids liked it. They even got the humor of Rexy following the rules of what to do when you are lost. good lessons in an interesting format. By choosing to start with Rexy being forgotten in the house, in the beginning, foreshadowing has been used. Musuem visits and readign about them are always fun.

This cute children's book is about Caillou going to the dinosaur museum with his family. He is excited to be there and see the dinosaurs, especially the on like his stuffed animal, Rexy! Mommy tells Caillou that Rexy would be safe from getting lost in the car but Caillou says he will keep him with him and brings him. During the visit, both Caillou and Rexy get separated from their family and have to use the skills for this situation that they have learned in order to safely wait for them to be found.

This book was great! I read it with my three-year-old son and we loved the plot and the pictures. He will definitely be begging for me to read this one for him again!

The illustration in this book is consistent to the Televised series. I can almost hear this book play out in my mind as I read this book. This book is colorful and has pictures of dinosaur fossils that will keep the attention of 2-3 year olds. The story line is simple for young kids to grasp, having a lesson tied into the book is a great plus. I would have liked it if Mom and Dad gave clear and specific instructions to Caillou about what to do if he gets lost. That is just my opinion. Other than that a simple easy to read book geared to 2-3 year olds.
