I’m not a big fan of fantasy or paranormal books but this book was very entertaining and enjoyable overall.
I liked the writing style, the characters and the story overall how it was presented with a few twists and turns that made me want to read more.
It was my first read by the author but I will have to look out for more books as I enjoyed it more than expected.

It's the first book I read by Ms Kenyon and she can surely write a book that keep your attention.
Even if it's entertaining I found it somehow too melodramatic and not my cup of tea.
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine.

Disappointed, I usually love Sherrilyn’s books, but I’ve found lately they’ve become a bit formulaic and lost there magic a little, sadly this falls into that category for me and although an enjoyable read it didn’t ave that spark.

Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for a free copy for an honest opinion

I usually buy this Author's books as soon as they become available -------- I am a great fan
However the last coup[e of books seem almost to be a cut and paste version of previous stories .

That also seems to be the case with this book ………… it starts well and with originality with Urian's backstory but soon morphs into scenes from all the other books he has appeared in ……… however the ending was original .
How I whish they Author would return to her previous best …. that is great characters , originality and superb worldbuilding .
I am unsure if I will continue to read anymore of this series .
I wish I could be more positive about the book , but this is not the first or second book that appears to rely on cutting and pasting from the previous ones in the series …………… such a shame !

I was given an arc of this book in exchange for an honest review

I love Sherrilyn Kenyon's work and was thrilled to be able to read this

I have read all the Dark Hunter series and am a fan !! So I was pleased to see Urian get his own book

There is real depth and a lot of detail in this book and MsKenyon gives a real feel to the difficult day to day lives of Greece, Egypt and Atlantis.

Very evocative and emotive - the ending left some questions unanswered so I am hoping there is more to come

Loved it

Highly recommended

This is a story of love, death, family, friendship and loneliness. From Ancient Greece to present day. A war between gods affecting humans. The goddess Apollymi killed his real mother Bethany and took baby Urian and put him in a human mother and new family. His new father Stryker and all his new family have been cursed by Apollo to never see the sun and to age and die at 27. Urian is different and special so is treated different by his family. He comes to know love and friendship with a dragon Xyn kept prisoner by Apollymi but loses her before they express their love. He finds love with a human Phoebe but it cannot be. There are many great characters that Urian meets along the way and you will wish to see their stories in other books. This story keeps a great pace and you really connect with Urian’s story. It will affect your emotions till the very end.
