Main characters:
Alana Brendt an event coordinator who has lost her job in her hometown of Philadelphia
Tegan Evans veterinarian in Yakima
Chip Sorenson, owner of High Ridge Ranch, Yakima

The premise of this story is a little bit contrived in the beginning, but it starts to come together half way through.

Alana Brendt takes a job in Yakima, Washington at a ranch where the owner, Chip Sorenson is about to open it to the public for riding, hiking and enjoying the great outdoors. Alana has left her hometown of Philadelphia because of a mistake she made while working in the hospitality field, so she has been blacklisted there. She knows nothing about horses or ranches, so the veterinarian in the area, Tegan Evans, shows her how to ride and take care of horses. Little by little, Tegan and Alana begin to be attracted to each other, but this job is temporary for Alana.

I liked the two main characters. They seemed like real people who actually exist in the world. The owner, Chip seemed inept in nearly every way, which made me wonder why he thought running a ranch would be a profitable thing to do, but that's where Alana shines. His best attribute is that he loves animals.

There is a box of rats that turns into a box of puppies and lots of tries at riding the trails and running the ranch. Will Alana find her happily ever after at the High Ridge Ranch, or will she leave as she always intended?

This book got me with the Cover :) so obviously theres a lot of puppies, horses and some other cute animals!
This was a very smooth read, very fluffy if i may say. What i loved most about it is the banter between the 2 MCs. i have to say Karis Walsh did a brilliant job with the dialogue between them, and it started from the first time they even met. Alana & Tegan are such a cute couple that i could go horseback riding with them any given day :)

So my rating for this book is 3.5 but i am rounding it up to 4 because i really liked both MCs and felt their connection. The only thing i would've liked to see is a climax to the story itself. i think it was too smooth for my taste!
i recommend this book however, read this book it if you are on the beach or you don't want drama and want to be entertained on a very lazy and sunny Sunday. Don't read it if you are looking for a deep, emotional read, park it until you want "fluffy" :)
