I really enjoyed this book. I have read quite a few by Eve Gaddy and her books don't disappoint. This one was a friends to lovers which I absolutely love. A love story between Charlie and Turner, friends since middle school who know each other really well. Charlie is divorced and doesn't ever want to be in love again and Turner just started to realize he is interested in Charlie.
The book is well written and a fun romantic read. I would highly recommend for anyone looking for a sweet romance story.

Turner and Charlie (Charlotte) have been friends forever. Now that she is back home, recovering from a nasty divorce and starting up a bakery, things are heating up. Turner is the one who initially starts to step over the line from friend to more, and it takes her longer to get on board. I have read others in this series, and by this author, and like them, but for some reason this one dragged a bit for me. Not sure why. Would still recommend, as I did enjoy it overall, just a bit slow at times.

TEXAS ON MY MIND by Eve Gaddy from the Heart of Texas series is a fast read. impossible to put down! This story is about Turner and Charlie, long time best friends. Turner wants more than friendship, Charlie is conflicted and afraid. Charlie was hurt in the past by her ex husband. The thing about best friends is they know all about you and they don't just give up on you.

They have been best friends for years, Turner and Charlotte (aka Charlie), but something seems to be changing between them. Turner is beginning to see Charlie as more than a “friend” and Charlie is worried that by dating Turner that she might lose him as her best friend. Charlie has not quite recovered from her divorce when her husband walked away while she was dealing with a personal health issue. She knows she can trust Turner not to hurt her, but is she willing to take the chance? When an unexpected event impacts Turner, will Charlie accept that life is short and sometimes the chance is worth taking? A very sweet romance and a nice return visit to Last Stand, Texas where we reunite with members of the McBride family. Another wonderful book by Eve Gaddy! This is book of the series and I look forward to reading the rest! Turner and Charlie have known each other forever, but only as friends. They both realize they had an attraction to each other, will it work?

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Tule Publishing via NetGalley and I am voluntarily reviewing it.

I would rate this higher than 5 stars if I could. This was a wonderful story. I just fell in love with Turner and Charlie (Charlotte). They were so good together. So good, that I couldn't put this down. I was completely enchanted with their journey to a HEA. Poor Charlie, she has a secret that she feels devastated about. She doesn't want to take her long-term friendship with Turner to something more. Her secret will change how he would feel about her and she can't lose his friendship. Turner on the other hand uses his knowledge of her likes to completely bowl her over without her knowing it.

I did need a tissue or two in a couple of spots. I felt for both characters as they struggled. Having a dual POV format that this book is written in, really helped me to identify with both characters but especially Charlie. It really made me understand her feelings so much better. Turner as well at one point would have baffled me without reading his thoughts.

I HIGHLY recommend this story to anyone. There are a few scenes in a sexual nature that may be a turn off for some BUT they were not written in graphic detail. There were also just a few of them. There is a wonderfully tender loving story here.

My first Eve Gaddy book and I really enjoyed it and read it straight through. Charlie and Turner are such a sweet story of best friends turned lovers with a relationship built over many years. Easy to read as a stand alone but the book really draws you into the side characters and the town making you want to get to know the story of them all.

This was an OK read. I found myself skipping pages.. The two main characters were likeable but a bit bland. Just not my cup of tea.

I really have been enjoying this series and Texas on my Mind did not disappoint. Charlie and Turner have been friends forever, so when Turner realizes he wants more from their relationship Charlie is apprehensive, worried that their friendship would be ruined if something happened. Turner and Charlie are perfect together. I loved how sweet and sensitive Turner was and how he knew when to push and when to back off when Charlie became skittish. I fell in love with both characters and couldn't put this book down once I started it.

I absolutely fell in love with Charlie and Turner. Charlie and Turner grew up together and are the best of friends. As they get older Turner starts to wonder if he and Charlie could be more than best friends. Charlie has to overcome some issues from her past in order to move forward with Turner. This is a wonderful friends to lovers story you won't want to put down!

I am a fan of Eve Gaddy's writing and this book did not disappoint. Charlie's and Turner's story was a good next installment in this series about the McBrides. The friends to lovers theme was well-explored and I liked the juxtaposition each of them having an accident created. The storyline moved quickly. The author did a good job exploring the often difficult subject of infertility sensitively. These two characters had to work hard to learn to open up and communicate with each other, overcoming their individual issues and be willing to share and grow further together. Looking forward to more from the McBrides and Eve Gaddy.

Texas on My Mind by Eve Gaddy was a delightful read.
I have been a long time fan of Eve Gaddy's books and this book is another great example of how a great writer can make characters come alive.

My first story from Eve Gaddy which I really enjoyed. It's a best friends to lovers story that will automatically pull you in.

Charlie and Turner have been best friends forever. Charlie is now divorced and keeping her heart closely guarded. Turner now sees his chance to be more than friends with the girl he loves but will she let him in, and open up her heart to a second chance at love.

I didn't know this was a second book to a series but it can be read as a complete standalone. I'm looking forward to reading more from this author in the future.

This is the second book of the Heart of Texas series and I have read both of them. Eve Gaddy writes such strong female characters. Her books are fun to read with just enough heat!

Turner and Charlie have been friends since they were young, but they both realize that it might be time to take their friendship to the next level Charlie has a hard time trusting that she can be loved unconditionally thanks to her “bastard of an ex”.

This should definitely be on your (Want To Read) WTR list!!!

A great addition to the Heart of Texas series. Pulled me in from first chapter. A great storyline and dialogue. A sure win in the romance department.

In Texas on My Mind, Charlie is adamant that they are not dating. It was fun to see the different things that Turner comes up with that aren't "dates". I enjoyed this book very much.

Charlie owns a popular pie shop I’m her hometown, of Last Stand, Texas. She has many good friends and is mostly happy. However, she seems to be haunted by a divorce and isn’t interested in a serious relationship.

Turner is also a Last Stand native who returned to his hometown to work as a neurosurgeon. He and Charlie are old and close friends. Turner recently opened his eyes and realized that he has developed romantic feelings for Charlie. Despite his best efforts, Charlie continually rejects his request to date,

Turner gets sneaky on Charlie and tricks her into excursions that she eventually realizes are dates. Their friends and family are happy for them, because they always thought they were meant for each other. However, Charlie’s emotional baggage and a deep secret that she carries with her threaten their relationship. Can two people go from being best friends to lovers?

Charlie and Turner have been friends forever and now they are both single they are thinking about giving it a go but Charlie is unsure as she does not want to ruin their friendship.

This was a quick read and I didn't realise that this is a second book in a series, however worked as a standalone story. It was an ok read, however I didn't really connect with the characters therefore was not as invested as I could have been.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the chance to review this book in exchange for a honest review.

This is the second book of the author's Heart of Texas series. I enjoyed the first book of the series but found this second book just acceptable. It's hero and heroine are long time childhood friends turned lovers. Charlie, the heroine, blows hot and cold too much for me. One minute she is all for the relationship, the next she is all against for moving it along. I found the hero, Dr. Turner McBride, much more palatable. He was all in after realizing that he has had deeper feelings for Charlie for years.
