Despite The Darkness is interesting and unique. I found the story slow at times, but it's not an entirely slow narrative at all. The characters are complex and engaging. Overall, it's a good read, but I don't think I'm the right reader for it. Thanks to NetGalley for an arc in exchange for an honest review .

Despite the Darkness is an intriguing book, rich with detail and well formed. I’m glad I had the chance to read it and would recommend it.

Great read. The author wrote a story that was interesting and moved at a pace that kept me engaged. The characters were easy to invest in.
