Very cute book for me to show to my child. It didn't hold his attention, though he did ask to go to the farmers market after we looked at it. So at least it did what I assumed it was intended to do?

Didn’t Quite Work for Me

I wanted to like this book. I am a huge fan of farmers’ markets. (By the way, the author didn’t use that required possessive in the book.) But I found the text boring, cliched, and predictable (and written in an uninteresting font), and I found the watercolor illustrations more sloppy than cute. I believe the author had good intentions here, but it just wasn't interesting. That said, if you want to introduce your child to the concept of farmers’ markets, it could be helpful.

Just adorable. Very sweet little drawings. Just a pleasure to read. It’s something I’d definitely read again. It was very calming to read, almost meditative.

Sophia loves going to the Farmers Market every week. There are lots of things to see and do, and when she meets up with her friends, she loves it even more.

In this easy-to-read and beautifully illustrated book, kids learn about how food grows and why buying local is important.

Loved the first one, love this one! It's great to read through the experiences my kids and I share every week during our visits to the farmer's market. My kids love combing through the pictures to look at the little details.

A quick book for kids to introduce what a farmers market is like. Nice to show what they may see. Illustrations are neat.

One of my favorite things to do is go to a farmers market and to garden. Getting to eat fresh grown veggies and fruits is such a wonderful thing! It's something I want to teach my son one day. It's also something I was unable to do this spring and summer because of my pregnancy and birth. Support your local farmers!

This is a wonderful book for connecting community and young children. I appreciated the mention of young children having gardens and bringing their goods too. Meet Me at the Farmer's Market was a fun way to remind children of ways to get our food.

This was a nice and simple picture book, with beautiful art and a cute little story about the young narrator and her family and friends visiting the Farmers Market every week and the things that they find there. It's a good introduction for kids learning where their food comes from and the importance of buying local when able.

The e-copy I received had download issues and I wasn't able to read every page, but what I was able to read my daughter and I both enjoyed.

Meet Me at the Farmers Market is an adorable and informative picture book that teaches kids about the purpose and fun of a farmers market. I appreciate the author writing in the aspect of different foods during different seasons as this is a very important aspect of farming life. I also liked the exchange between the mom and the egg farmer, as this shows a key part of the market routine which is building relationships with the local farmers. This is definitely a book that I would purchase for my nieces and nephews to teach them about why I love farmers markets so much.

"Your eggs are the freshest, and that's no yolk!...You crack me up!" Egg humor in the middle of this delightful children's book. I love the fact that the friends are different races, and already at the age of 7 have personalities developing (Team Logan, I love to eat all the food too :). Beautiful drawings, a great way to introduce farmers markets and why they're important to your children.

Meet Me at the Farmers Market is a picture book with a theme that is contemporary and relevant. Parents will like the story from the child's perspective, sharing thoughts about buying meat, eggs, and fresh and local produce. Kids will like the cute illustrations and to see how going to a farmers market is fun and different from say, a grocery store.

“Meet Me at the Farmers Market” is a fun, sweet picture book for preschool to early elementary readers. The young narrator describes her weekly trips to the farmers market with her family and the interactions she has with friends, community members, and vendors. Overall, this is a great book for introducing kids to the concept of a farmers market. It would pair perfectly with an outing to your local farmers market, where you could engage young children with searching for different foods/colors/tastes, as well as discussing seasonality and plant life cycles and parts. Suitable for preschool-1st grade classrooms as a read aloud.

I found this to be a cute introduction for little ones to farmers markets. It does a good job of showing the types of surprises you can find at one and features fun illustrations. The lack of parental supervision really bothered me from a safety standpoint, so I had to deduct a star.

A cute and creatively illustrated trip to the Farmer's Market! While charming, it would be even better if the content was just a little more detailed (pictures and vocabulary, alike). Coming from a teaching prospective, children would be able to identify with the experience either by having gone to a farmer's market themselves, or relating easily to the character's adventure. This would be a fun addition to any child's bookshelf!

Beautifully illustrated, Meet Me at the Farmers Market is a whimsical walk with four children through their local farmers market. The pictures and themes are a wonderful way to start conversations with children about eating local, seasonal foods.

I had problems downloading this book. I tried a few times and once I finally managed it, it still wouldn't display properly no matter how much I tried to edit the font and size. From what I could see of it, it's a cute book. I liked the crayon hand drawn look of the illustrations. I'll be looking for this book when it officially releases so I can give a better review.
