I enjoyed this book, it was a fun read read and kept me hooked till the end.
It's lighter than other fantasy but it's perfect for this summer time.
I loved the characters development, the world building and how the plot was developed.
I look forward to reading other books in this series.
Highly recommended!
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine.

Enjoyable ‘magic school’ set fantasy for adults with a slight political bent. I have not read the preceding trilogy so it’s possible that I’ve missed something, but despite its meditation on the gradual reduction of rights of magic users, this still read as a very light in epic fantasy terms. Not a bad thing, just not quite what I was expecting. I quite like multiple POVs in fantasy but there may have been a few too many here since I didn’t really bond with any of the characters as intensely as I expected. That said I enjoyed the world and am keen to read the next book.
