Please note that this book is not for me - I have read the book, However I had to DNF and because i do not like to give negative reviews I will not review this book fully - there is no specific reason for not liking this book. I found it a struggle to read and did not enjoy trying to force myself to read this book.

I've been in a bit of a reading slump of late and I honestly didn't think I'd ever get out of it. But Erin Green has done it again! She's seriously such a talented author and I never hesitate reading her work. However, It took me a while to read this book but not because it wasn't a page turner - because it absolutely was - but because I was trying to get back into a reading routine.

This book was an inspiring read to take time out, take a chance on your new beginning. The characters are so relatable and you can't help but begin to care about them, and honestly I was rooting for them to get their happy ever after.

One thing I really liked about this story is that there was no cliche storyline in my opinion which makes it such a breath of fresh air.

I'd love to read a follow up story to see what happens with the characters next but equally I feel the story ended perfectly.

If you fancy reading something filled with a bit of hope, a bit of inspiration, and fancy a new beginning yourself then I definitely recommend this story to tick all those boxes.

Fantastic read. Charm and warmth beam from every page. Likeable characters (most of them!), beautiful setting, ice cream and romance. What more could you ask for? This book is so easy to get lost in and you will wish it was never ending. A heart warming tale. Suitable for any season, just add the hot drink or your choice and some nibbles and settle in!

Thank you Netgalley.

New Beginnings at Rose Cottage is a well written easy read which I really enjoyed. I liked all of the characters and their development throughout the book. The cottage and its setting in Devon were both lovely - the sort of place I would love to visit on holiday.

Highly recommended - a lovely story of friendship, self discovery and new beginnings. A perfect holiday reading book or for a cosy afternoon on the sofa.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review

This novel was everything I needed it to be on a blistering hot summer's day. It was uplifting, fun and reading about the Heston Blumenthal-esque flavoured ice creams cooled me down.
The premise of three single women, all strangers holidaying together was different and worked well. They are diffrent ages, personalities and are facing different problems but they discover new friendships and ways to be happy.
The setting was idyllic, perfect to escape to without leaving home and this was an entertaining read.

Set in glorious Devon this book is about three women who meet whilst sharing a holiday cottage for single holiday makers. Each narrates their own story and gradually their tales unfold. Fairly fast paced with well developed characters this book is hugely enjoyable!

This book has many of the things I love in a romance, but somehow isn’t quite my cup of tea. My main issue is the constant changing of the POV every few paragraphs - it meant that it took me at least half the book to work out who was doing what. I think if the book had been written in the third person POV, it would have flowed relatively well, though there were a few clumsy sentences.

The story itself (although with the multiple POVs it seems more like 3 separate stories) is good - all three characters have their own development, all are unhappy in their life as it currently stands, and all decide to make changes. The ending(s) is satisfying.

Overall, I’d say this is a good book, it needs a little tweaking to make it float my boat. For anyone who doesn’t find the changing POVs a struggle to keep track of, it is a summer romance/character development book with a happy ending for all.

I have read and enjoyed previous books by Ern Green, so I was delighted to receive an early preview copy of this book from Netgalley and the Publisher.
This book features Ruth, Benni and Emma, three strangers who are sharing Rose Cottage in Brixham, Devon for solo holiday makers.
The three women seem to have little in common, but they quickly hit it off. It soon becomes apparent though that each of them have come away on holiday to escape their home situations. As the holiday progresses, they question whether they could actually have a new beginning in their lives.
The characters are all likeable and by the end of the book I was hoping that they all escaped from their old lives and had a happy outcome. The plot is enjoyable, and flows well, despite being told from the point of view from each of the three main characters. It was still easy to follow.I love Devon, and this book showcases the area perfectly.
This book is absolutely perfect for light summer reading. I really enjoyed reading it.

I was very excited to be able to read this early and be sent a copy via NetGalley. The cover is just beautiful, so bright and vibrant perfect for this time of year and it is what grabbed my attention when searching through new titles on NetGalley. The second reason I just knew I had to read and review this book is the author, Erin Green. I adore her writing style and since reading this gem of a book she is fast becoming a favourite author of mine.
Devon is one of my favourite areas of the U.K and Brixham where the book is set is just beautiful and having read this book I fell like I have just returned from a holiday there. Erin brings Brixham to life with her words and has really captured the essence of the place.
New beginnings is a brilliant idea for a story and makes you realise that you can have them at any time in life and make dreams come true. I adored Benni, Emma and Ruth, each of their stories and why they come to be at Rose Cottage I can relate to. The story is told from three viewpoints and it jumps from one to the next quickly but this doesn't make the story hard to follow. I liked it and it created a fast paced read that was so hard to put down. This is a lovely story and one I really enjoyed. I loved the way the characters blossomed as the story unfolds. A perfect story full of hope, love and friendship.
I am excited to read the next book by Erin Green and I am going to make sure I have all her other books to read while I wait.
