As far as fantasy erotica, some stories begin to sound the same, but "Strands of Love," the 7th book in the "Tapestries" series, has its own flare and rules within the world. This is a re-release of the series and the even though you don't have to have read the previous books in the series, reading the final book in the "Tapestries" series will make you want to read the ones that came before the last. Portal fantasies always know how to keep a reader's attention.

The theme in "Strands of Love" is family legacy. And, in this case, it's land that's been within families for generations. Samantha Calloway is a Texan who is struggling to maintain her family's legacy. She's the last of her family and she has tried everything in order to keep the last of the ranch in her possession. Meanwhile, in another world, Jace and Darian Hunter have worked hard for the last several years in order to see that their family land is back to what it used to be before their father and uncles almost lost it all. The brothers have given up on getting married and settling down when "the tapestry" appears to them and transports them to Texas. Once there, Jace and Darian meet Samantha and they have a brief, but intense (and steamy) courtship. The question is, where will they end up?

The story, while tragic at times, is very romantic, but predictable at times. However, in this case, the elements fit together given what the characters have been through. At the same time, the reactions to the magic and to living in different worlds is more than believable. And, N.J. Walters knows how to incorporate good sex scenes without it sounding too forced, or too cheesy.

In all, the story was great for what it was, a fantasy erotica story about finding love for the right reasons. I'm curious about the rest of the series, mostly because it seems that each of the "units" have something in common that brought them all together, and I'm curious what they are. I'm excited to see what else N.J. Walters writes in the future because the fantasy aspects were just as entertaining as the erotica!

Netgalley gave me this book in exchange for an honest review.

I don't know what i was expecting from this book. I mean, I read the synopsis, so I guess that tells me what to expect. This is part of a series and it's somewhere near the middle or end. I don't think I can rightly judge it as part of a series so I'm just going to tell you how it was as a stand alone.
As a stand alone this book was just okay. I didn't get much world building or backstory. I was just throw into this and expected to know things. But like I said, this is part of a series and I had not read the previous books. I just feel like nothing happened. I mean, I know it did but dang this book was so short. This is one of those "romance" books where the story plays a backseat to the "love"story(by using the word love here, what I mean here is....sex).
There is a lot of sex in this book. It's the prologue, plot, and epilogue. It oozes from ever line of this book.
The book is a book about a girl named Samantha. She's alone and struggling. Then there is also the two hunters brothers, they come from another world were women are in short supply and brothers have to share (Yeah, I'm a little weirded out by it too but if they are cool with it, who am I to judge?). There is a magical tapestry made by a sorceress and this tapestry travels to earth to find a woman to bring back to Javara (where the brothers are). In this story things don't go that way though. The tapstry brings the brother here to Earth and lands them smack dab on Samantha's struggling Texas farmlands. A lot of traveling to Javara and then back to Texas happens and she has a decision to make. Should she stay in Texas or go to Javara to be with the brothers. I think it was a 3 day period to decide. And the brothers filled that 3 day period(also known as the whole book) with nothing but pleasure (by pleasure, I mean dirty nasty sex)..

This book is definitely for someone, I just don't think it was for me. I need more story involved.

Another great book in this wonderful series and once again we are in Jarava and the slitly different thing is that this time the heroes travel to modern times even of they don't stay there

This is the story of Sam a Texan rancher who is about to lose her ranch to drought and an unscrupulous neighbour Then she is confronted by two hot men in the shape of Jace and Darian Hunter two brothers who have travelled from Jarava They have heard of the legends of the tapestry but never thought they would get there true love through it. They are also committed to protecting their lands When Sam travels to Jarava with them she will face questions that only she will be able to solve. Will she pick the brothers and their passionate love or return to her times. While this is the last book in the series it was wonderful to see all of the couples that we have met throughout the entire series

I've read some of N J Walters work before and this doesn't disappoint.

This is part of a series, I've not read any of the others but now will be searching them out to catch up

I loved this. N J Walters always writes great stories. With elements of fantasy, this is a steamy romance as you would expect from the writer - she is fabulous at this genre

If you like your romances steamy - this is for you!

Loved this book. This author writes an awesome story. This story is about Sam , a women whose farm is about to be foreclosed on. In comes the hunter brothers through the tapestry! How can this be? The tapestry brings the woman to the men! Read their story. I am going to go back and read the 6 others. Not because I have to but it was just that good!

I read this book as an arc from NetGalley. It gets a frigging 5 stars

As expected, there was a lot of emotions in the telling of this story. And a lot of heat as well, and sexy times. It had a few more twists and turns than the other tapestry stories, but they were badly needed for Sam to decide. And for Jace and Darian to understand. But their love won out, as it should, and all the brides and brothers came together to celebrate with the final triad of the series!

As a favorite author N.J. Walters is a keeper! Love all these novels dealing with paranormal situations. This is the 7th in the Tapestry Series where a magical tapestry (not a magic carpet - -LOL) appears to all alone women who are whisked away to a medieval land full of hunky warriors, castles and WOW heartthrob erotic bed tumbles. These are quick easy always HEA but stand alone pages to keep you warm!! "A copy of this book was provided by Beyond the Page Publishing via NetGalley with no requirements for a review. Comments here are my honest opinion."
