This is such a good read, love a good love story and great tales of friendship and close friends. Got me right in the mood for love and Christmas!

The name and cover of this book drew me in immediately! It was so fun to read a Christmas book with such a new unique twist. It took me a little while to get into it but then I was glad I did!

It felt too quick. In that when reading the main character it felt like she was speaking ridiculously fast. I was exhausted after a few chapters and did not enjoy it.

"A cosy Christmas in Cornwall" really got me with its cover and the premise. I was really looking forward to join Invy in her job remodeling the castle and making it Christmassy.

Unfortunately from the beginning I didn't get into the story at all. I found everything very confusing and had a hard time following the story. I was hoping that this would change the more I got into the story but it didn't and that is why I decided to gave up on the book at 36%.

I couldn't find anything festive in the book, although there was so much potential with the plan of decorating the castle. Instead the author was describing unimportant things like the dog. For me there was a huge lack in world-building and atmosphere, as well as in the characters which remained very shallow to me.

This book has two of my favorite things, Cornwall and Christmas! And trust me, after living in America for the last 17 years, there is nothing quite as perfect as a British Christmas.

But in this story it might not be as perfect if Ivy can’t make Cockle Shell Castle perfect for her Instagram addicted clients, who rented the castle from Instagram, completely mixing up the locations, so when Ivy arrived Cockle Shell Castle was the furthest thing from the Instagram haven that she was sent to decorate, plus the landlord was not only someone that Ivy had met before, but also the most grumpiest grinch on the planet!

I absolutely loved this book, I enjoyed all of the characters, but Ivy and Bill were my favorites by far, even with the heartbreak with the harshness of Bill’s ex towards the end.

A Cosy Christmas in Cornwall was definitely a feel-good book that sealed my Christmas mood for me, just in time for Halloween.

This is a new Author to me I want to read more by her. Ivy Starforth and Scrooge Bill Markham's story that kept me smiling as I read. I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Ivy is a London window dresser and she is delighted when her best friend's sister asks her to dress and photograph the Cornish castle that she has hired for Christmas. When she arrives arrives a few days early to set the scene she is dismayed to find the castle is not what she was expecting at all, it is bleak, cold and not a Christmas decoration in site! Finding the owner nearly naked in the jacuzzi she is also dismayed to find that it's Bill who she met years ago on a skiing holiday with her ex and he seems really bad tempered and not at all helpful about decorating........ will Ivy ever get together the Christmas that everyone is expecting!

A lovely warm Christmas book, Ivy and Bill a are great characters as are the guests, especially Libby's mother and her partner and Bill's father and friends....a Christmas to remember it will definitely be!

Ivy is off to spend Christmas at the cottege by the sea. Only to find the owner Bill is not at all cooperative. As Ivy starts to tear down all the bridges around Bill, a beautiful and stunning Christmas story built around them. I absolutely loved the setting, the easy-going humor and loved filled holiday. The perfect Christmas read!

Cornwall! Christmas! Perfect setting for the most fascinating and the coziest time of the year. I loved loved loved reading this book. I can’t wait for Christmas to arrive.

The snowy cover drew me into this book. It promised a magical Christmas read. I also found that the pastel colours entangled in the sky, Christmas tree and snow covered floor acted like the arms of the book were outstretched and welcoming. Since then I've also been recommended this book too.

This book will make you laugh out loud, cry and gives you goosebumps!

All the characters had their own personality on show but they lal had one thing in common. Underneath the hard exterior is a kindhearted and gooy individual who are strong characters. This worked so well as they each etched away at another's exterior until they had all learnt something and found themselves!

The life lessons this book brings is just wonderful and the wya it is entwined in the story shows the authors talent. Everyone will come away with a different lesson but each equally as valuable. I will let you find out yours!

However I did find this book started off quite slow mainly due to the complex sentence structure used by Jane. Although this is what makes this book so powerful and once you get used to this things start to emerge faster.

Furthermore at the beginning when Bill is showing Ivy around not much is happening and it actually comes across very dull and boring which slows the story down further. However when you geta quarter of the way through things start to speed up and by halfway through it is a page turner.

Also I would have like to have known what Libby said when Ivy went to London. After all Libby's new found softness was not out yet and libby has employed Ivy. Suddenly ivy was asked to go the next chapter she was in the car with this crucial bit missing.

Chapter 36 is a special chapter and Jane has left this so perfectly. By ivy promising us she will let us know how things are. I hope she does let us Into the ups and downs of her new life in Cornwall.

There are definitely worse places to spend Christmas. All that stands in the way of a great time is the grumpy owner, Bill Markham, who—as handsome and charming as he is—seems more interested in counting his rental fee than spreading cheer. As Ivy kicks her decorating and planning into high gear, though, she just might find herself hoping to catch a certain scrooge under the mistletoe.

Beneath the tinkle of tinsel and colored lights, Jane Linfoot has managed the perfect wintery read. There are few canvases like a castle by the sea and she masterfully paints each section, decking the halls while building up a sense of the season and a bit of romance, until a buzzing Christmas practically pops from the pages.

That’s not to suggest everything is rosy and bright. At the helm of the action is Ivy, a bustling people-pleaser who worries too much about others. Yet Linfoot carefully unravels clues to her background, piecing together why a job on Christmas is actually the distraction she needs this year. At the beginning, she’s at her most vulnerable and matters are complicated by Ben, a minor grouch who has his own problem-filled past. However, it’s pure joy as the two of them form a complicated working relationship that also forces them both to confront their issues.

Rounding out the cast are Ivy’s best friend Fliss and the extended gallery of guests, along with a cadre of Bill’s father’s pals and coworkers. It’s a packed house and a lot of characters, but Linfoot keeps them sorted as they dole out their individual brands of chaos. Their shenanigans are occasionally frustrating while also providing plenty of laughs. And whether because of Ivy’s own ingenuity or festive magic or some combination, it’s always obvious a cozy Christmas is imminent.

For a snowy romance with heart, it’s hard to beat A Cosy Christmas in Cornwall.

This was such a gorgeous story – and I LOVE that cover!!

I thought this was a lovely story, it was one that wrapped me up and gave me a big warm hug! The location was fantastic and the author has an excellent writing style that brought it all to life for me.

The author has created some superb characters and I really loved getting to know them as the book progressed, and they are definitely people I want to read more about!

I thought that this was a lovely right from cover to cover and it is 5 stars from me for this one, very highly recommended and it is another excellent story by this author – can’t wait to read what she releases next now!!

It took a bit long to get into the story as the author was trying to character build. In general, this book felt a tad too long. It could have been condensed and still allowed for the magic of Christmas to shine through. But here's the kicker though, I was very invested in the characters. I was rooting for Ivy all the way, and while some of the other characters were at first unlikable, they rather grew on me.

I think the author touched on something that a lot of rom com lacked which was the mental wellbeing of its main characters. I was extremely proud of Ive's progression as someone who was kicked down and brought herself up. It was such a sweet story and everyone knows I love Christmas. I think the title and the cover art did not fully encompass the entirety of the plot. It is much more than a romance (fairly closed doors). 4 solid stars.

A Cozy Christmas in Cornwall was sweet and delicious Chick-Lit that revolved around Ivy and her very dramatic but cozy Christmas in a Cornish castle. It was about living life at fullest no matter how many times life throws you down, standing up and kicking the troubles in back, take control of life and move on; not to settle for something or someone that makes you unhappy and turn into something that you’re not comfortable with; about Christmas, a holiday of good thing and good luck; and of course romance.

Writing was amazing, smooth, and detailed. The setting was extra amazing. This was perfect Christmas read and I’m kicking myself for not reading it in December. But I love Christmas books I can read them any time of the year. Story was first person narrative in Ivy’s lovely and cheering voice.

It started with Ivy arriving at castle in Cornwall two days earlier her boss arrives. She was given a job by her best friend’s sister, Libby who rented castle for fortnight. Her job was to decorate castle for Christmas and make it Instagram worthy. But when she arrived last thing she was expecting was a hot and gorgeous Bill, the caretaker of castle, skinny dipping in hot tub. Moreover, she knew him and was day dreaming about him since they met 7 years ago. To make things even worse castle was nothing like advert Libby had seen. Clearly Bill duped them and he was so stingy with money he would make uncle scrooge look a lot better. Only thing that could save Ivy’s job and herself from Libby’s apoplectic wrath was take things in her hand and make castle worthy enough to Libby’s standard and her Instagram pictures. For that she needed to work with Bill who was being hard and uncooperative.

I was curious to see how Ivy was going to make castle beautiful and Christmassy, how she would bend Bill to her will, make him spend some money for decorations, and if she would let go her past and give herself and love a second chance.

Ivy was amazing character and I could feel her cheery and exuberant nature exuding out of kindle into atmosphere. Nobody could say how much broken and low she felt inside. It was terrible what she had gone though in past year. Even though what she felt, she lived for others and for Christmas. It was her nature but after what happened to her, it turned into her need. I loved how she came out of her grief and sadness and healed over this two week and the way she found peace and happiness in Christmas. But of course that didn’t come easily.

Bill/Will– Yup there was two name for same character, but I will call him Bill- was great in the story too. It was so easy to dislike him even with his good luck which were marred by that permanent scowl on his face. He wouldn’t spend a penny even though he tricked Libby by putting false advert and moreover he was putting so many rules for Ivy and other guests. But as Ivy took control over him and situation, I could see his different side. It was easy to guess something was wrong with this guy and when it was revealed, oh my, he was carrying so much burden and was drowning in sadness and heartache. That revelations was surprising turn. Totally unexpected and I felt so sorry for him. But Ivy star helped him gather his pieces, face his problems.

Both Bill and Ivy’s friendship was great. I enjoyed their banter, loved the way they found middle ground, put aside their differences and worked as perfect #TeamChristmas. I loved reading their slowly developing friendship and love. They both deserved happiness.

I loved Fliss (Ivy’s best friend) and Libby’s family. I must tell Miranda (their mother) was most amazing and attracted most attention. Theirs was quirky family and to top that quirkiness there was Twiglets (Libby’s friend Willow and her family). There were many characters and many kids but they were all introduced perfectly, I didn’t ever confused with who was who and I loved their characteristics. Each were different from other and had their own problems. At first I thought I wouldn’t want to spend Christmas with these lot but they all developed as Christmas arrived.

There was so much drama and hilarious moments. Falling with Christmas needles poking in face, ghostly orgasm, donkey dung shower, grumpy and wailing kids who refused to enjoy Wi-Fi-less Christmas, breakfast baking wars between Bill and Milo and some more… It was fun to read all disasters and amazing to see how much Ivy worked to make things better and Christmas a cheerful time.

Food alert- this book made me craving for cakes and pastries and whatever is called baked and sweet. I really wondered how characters could eat so many delicious baked sweets every day. Even I got imaginary diabetes and extra fats after reading this.

After many hilarious and some sad turns finally mistletoe and Christmas waved its magical charm on all the characters and they all found their happy ending. I felt the story was a bit slow but it was not a big issue for me and Ivy Star needs all stars.

Overall, it was sweet, lovely, entertaining and cozy chick-lit that I highly recommend.

I enjoyed this page turning book. It was well written. Glad that I read it. Will be checking other books by this author.

This is a charming and enjoyable festive romcom peopled by larger than life, fascinating characters.
Our main character is Ivy, a lively young woman. She’s been through a bad patch but she’s gung-ho about the future and excited about ‘Instagramising’ a Cornish castle.
To counterpoint her is Bill, who is distinctly lacking in the Christmas spirit and seems intent on thwarting Ivy’s ambitious plans.
There’s a lot of drama going on around Ivy and Bill, but they stay centre-stage. With love and support from family, and taking time to truly value themselves and each other, there’s a lot of healing going on which is rewarding and adds richness to this uplifting novel.
The book moves at a steady pace, with some momentum building up and an increasingly festive atmosphere. Lovely Christmas reading.

A lovely bit of escapism to Cornwall just in time for Christmas. Libby travels ahead to the castle to prepare it for Christmas. She’s a merchandiser and is there to make the castle Instagram ready. As soon as she arrives she meets Bill who she already knew from a holiday in Chamonix. She ropes him in to getting the castle ready for the party of family and friends who are about to descend expecting a perfect Christmas. I loved this book and will definitely be reading more from this author.

"A Cosy Christmas in Cornwall” was a cozy little read. It was as festive as it was fun. There were quite a few characters to keep up with at one point however the characters themselves were very likeable and developed. Overall, I really enjoyed reading this book.

Another fun holiday story set in Cornwall, near the town of St. Aiden. Have read several from this author in this area, and really enjoy them. This one is no exception. When Ivy shows up at the castle they have rented for Christmas she finds Bill, a man she met years ago and was attracted to. He is the owner, and the host, but is grumpy and the castle is not really ready for Christmas. Getting into gear, Ivy pushes him to get things ready before the rest of the part arrives. Quite a collection of characters, and a fun story. Two things I found less interesting is the Miranda/Ambie story, and the ex story was a little confusing (may just be me) as wasn't sure what she was doing to him to make him have to seek out money. Minor overall though, and still enjoyed this one a lot. Would highly recommend this book and author.
