Another fun holiday story set in Cornwall, near the town of St. Aiden. Have read several from this author in this area, and really enjoy them. This one is no exception. When Ivy shows up at the castle they have rented for Christmas she finds Bill, a man she met years ago and was attracted to. He is the owner, and the host, but is grumpy and the castle is not really ready for Christmas. Getting into gear, Ivy pushes him to get things ready before the rest of the part arrives. Quite a collection of characters, and a fun story. Two things I found less interesting is the Miranda/Ambie story, and the ex story was a little confusing (may just be me) as wasn't sure what she was doing to him to make him have to seek out money. Minor overall though, and still enjoyed this one a lot. Would highly recommend this book and author.

I absolutely adored this read! It was so charming, and perfect for cozy-ing up with in the winter. I didn't want it to end!

This book was a treat from start to finish. It had just the right mix of great friendships, annoying teenagers, wailing children, hunky men, outrageous older people, cute dog, and more Christmas than you could shake a stick at. There was a lot of soul searching and much personal development, too, and all written from the point of view of a delightful and lovely main character.

Thoroughly enjoyable!

First sentence: ‘Could there be a better present for the woman who has everything?’ I’m smiling across at Merwyn in the front seat and, as I take in the words Cockle Shell Castle carved into the monumental gateposts, I’m so excited I’m finding it hard to breathe. Then I ease my car through the gateway and onto the winding approach, and as we round a bend and the pale walls and castellated towers come into view, washed in moonlight, I can’t help letting out a gasp.

Premise/plot: Ivy Starforth, our heroine, has been hired by her friend's sister to "kit out" the holiday rental--a castle in Cornwall. But there's been a slight mix-up. The rental is not the one fabulously pictured online, it's bare and decidedly un-Christmasy. And it comes with a grumpy landlord, Bill Markham. Can she fix up the rental before her super-picky-not-at-all-likeable employer arrives with ALL of her children and family?!

My thoughts: I had a hard time getting into this one. Do people really hire out other people to photograph every single moment of their holidays and post it on social media for them?!?!?! I suppose some of the super-elite might hire out a professional to decorate their own home, but a rental home?! Why introduce dozens of characters of this crazy-eccentric-quirky-dysfunctional family (not a single one likeable) when the main focus is obviously going to be on a romance between Ivy and Bill?!

Speaking of the romance, why do they have to happen to know each other previously. Why couldn't it be a super-predictable romance with a stranger? At least if it was a stranger, there wouldn't be the repetitive Will/Bill thing going on where she remembers their past vacation encounter and wonders why he is now calling himself Bill instead of Will. Seriously annoying.

This one is full of characters I just didn't care about at all, not even a little. And it's crude. I wouldn't classify it as smut-smut, just crudely written. I definitely would NOT recommend it to those who prefer/seek out clean fiction. The language alone--no matter the actual subject matter--would classify it as NOT clean.

What. A. Book.

Ivy and her Christmas adventure had my heart from page one. I loved the grumpy love interest. I loved the cheeky banter. I love how Unapologetic Ivy is and remained throughout the entire book.

I had my heart in my mouth a couple of times through this book - it wasn't entirely predictable as some Chick Lit are - Which I loved! So I very much enjoyed each twist and turn throughout this read.

I can't wait to read more about Ivy!

I’ve read several books about decorators and mean rich guys. I still binged this book and enjoyed the story.

I really struggled to feel any connection with the characters in this book and it felt too long. I am a fan of Jane Linfoot but this book fell short of my expectations.

This delightful book is the equivalent of a warm hug - romantic with just the right amount of humour, and with characters that you will remember long after you have finished the book.

Thank you to NetGalley and to the publisher for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

A Cosy Christmas in Cornwall was a perfect book to curl up and read in the run up to Christmas. Easy to read, I struggled to put it down. Have a read you will not be disappointed.

This really does deserve the cosy in it's title! It was very cosy and very sweet. It definitely made me feel christmassy and the activities Ivy organises helped with that. I liked the characters and the overall christmas cheer feeling.

Gifted to me from Netgalley & Harper Collins, this sweet Christmas read by Jane Linfoot.. was such a delight. As the countdown to Christmas occurs , Ivy Starforth, finds herself heading to an English castle by the sea. There for work, to make the castle the most instagrammed spot, Ivy has her work cut out for her. Bill Markham, the Owner of the castle is the opposite of festive and the two find themselves at odds. As it gets closer to Christmas and as all the guests arrive, things heat up and while it’s cold outside. This was a great Holiday read, filled with all the Holiday vibes. I enjoyed this book very much and appreciate being given a sneak preview. This was a 4 star read for me. See my review on netgalley and bookstagram.

This is definitely a different read for me, although it’s of a genre I read a lot the focus on making the picture perfect Christmas made it different from from the others i’ve read.

I enjoyed the story and some of the characters, particularly Ivy and Bill but Libby and Milo left me cold. The way their characters were written was spot on which is why I reacted the way I did, people like that just don’t impress me at all. However, I did enjoy disliking them which is always fun.

The setting of the castle was really interesting, as was the back story between Ivy and Bill which was slowly revealed through the book. It was also interesting to watch people’s reactions to other characters. That’s something that always fascinates me and it was particularly fun in this setting as there were so many varied characters.

If you want something familiar but different as a Christmas read then this is definitely a book worth trying. There are some funny moments, some touching moments and some where you will want to pull your hair out so definitely enough variety for everyone. Perfect with hot chocolate and lashings of whipped cream, oh, and a sea view if you can get it!

Ivy is currently single and has taken on the task of Christmas organiser for friends who have hired a castle for Xmas. They are looking for wonderful instagram pictures of their perfect Christmas. The castle they have hired looks dream like in the pictures. Ivy arrives a few days early but is shocked to find the castle certainly does not live up to its description. Additionally it is owed by bill/Will who she has met previously on a ski holiday.
A lovely feel good Christmas story with lovable characters.

I received this book complimentary from NetGalley but my opinions are my own.
I liked the characters but not loved. A lot were annoying and superficial. I don’t know how so many characters appeared that way but it happened. Oh well. I really liked the setting in Cornwall but I just wish I liked the characters more.

Love Christmas, love Cornwall, this was awesome, sweet and festive. There's nothing better than sitting down with a hot drink and a thick warm blanket with a cute Chrustmas story to get through it. Good book, fun reading. Great times.

5☆ A Feel Good Read, Jam packed full of Christmas Charm, Will leave you Feeling Warm inside.

A Cosy Christmas in Cornwall is a heart warming, festive, fun, flirty, rom com set in a gorgeous setting.

Oh and just have to say... how gorgeous is this book cover 😍

Ivy has arrived at the gorgeous Cornish Cockle Shell Castle with one thing on her mind....to help create the most beautifully Festive setting that is Instagram worthy.

But what Ivy doesn't realise that waiting for her is a blast from her past.... Bill....Hot, Sexy, Swoon Worthy, weak at the knees..... Bill... who she nearly had a fling with a while back.
But now she's single, his irritating her, being Grumpy, his Christmas Charm is virtually zero and to make matters worse ..... All the castle is fit for is Stag Dos!

What has she let herself in for!!

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this Gorgeous Book. The title pretty much sums this book up perfectly. It's warm, cosy, jam packed full of Christmas Charms, it definitely will leave you smiling, laughing, giggling and feeling warm inside.
There are alot of quirky, interesting characters, but they just fit together perfectly.
Oh and I mustn't forget to mention Merwyn the adorable Fur Baby.

So if you are looking for a festive read, that has plenty of drama, mishaps, a lil bit of mayhem, a sprinkle of romance, lots of laugh out loud moments, plenty of Christmas Charm, then A Cosy Christmas in Cornwall is definitely the book for you!

Thank you to Rachel Random Resources for this copy which I reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

After reading Edie Browne’ s Cottage by the Sea, I knew I was onto one of my fave authors and this book did nothing to sway me away-I mean how can you find someone who does heart stopping beautiful backdrops, mesmirising romance and solid, funny characters, peppered with great humour and notbe a huge fan?

I will start, as always, with the comedy. I made some comedy predictions in this-as in ‘I hope this will happen’ and (yessss!!!!) they did! Ivy was a great character, her unluckiness was extreme and very well done, in fact I loved how we were set up with plenty of scenarios to give not too disastrous consequences and so could make you properly laugh but most definitely did not detract from the more moving side to the story, her past, the descriptions of which made my heart tumble into my stomach.

The love/hate aspect to Ivy and Bill’s story especially has to be mentioned, because I enjoyed it so much!!! There are a lot of characters,  some quite unlikable but for the most part their redemption comes and not only that, arrives as a surprise that makes you smile.

All in all I loved this book and will again make an attempt to get back to Jane Linfoot’s epic back catalogue, which will be beyond a pleasure. Thanks so much to Rachel at Rachel’s Random Resources for the book in return for an honest review and allowing me to be part of this blog tour.
