Y.A is not my thing. I bailed on this series early and I am sorry, but I did not like it at all. I thank Net Galley for accepting my request to review this book.

Did not finish. Did not like this book.

I couldn't get into it.

The writing was awful and the characters were just dull. The story dragged too much for me.

I like to give books a chance with the first 100 pages and I did and I just couldn't read anymore.

I'm still shocked at the lack of reviews for this series. It is intriguing, different, and has enjoyable characters. I just found that the covers were updated since the original publication and I think they are fresh and tie together really well. I liked the addition of Iri to balance the guy/girl ratio, and her abilities are fascinating. I don't know if this was my favorite of the three books so far, but it has promise for the finale that's publishing this week. The books so far are still young adult with no sex scenes or language really. And some of the criticisms from the first books are improved without compromising the characters. Jaden, for instance, is less hot-headed and tries to tone his anger down, especially with sensitive situations.

My only critique of this book is that by now I kind of expected the series to be more of an ongoing adventure in the sense that the characters would move from home to each new exciting location. Yet this book kind of hopscotches between locations and the teens heading back home. I can see where some of it is necessary for plot development, but it would have been more interesting if the locations didn't change as much or they didn't go home in between them. This would have dropped my rating to a 3.5 star if available. I guess my other critique would have been Jaden's impulses and how it changed the alternate reality; had it not all worked out in the end (so far).

The ending is a massive cliffhanger, but since the next and final book in the series is publishing this week, I'm not too upset about it. I'm glad I don't have to wait long to see how the series will end. And I can't wait to see what Leroux comes up with next!

Jaden, Kayla, and Atu are going on their quest with a new aim to find another seeker. They have nothing but clues. Jaden is bothered with everyone expecting him to lead, even though he’s no more qualified than anyone else.
Until now, if you didn't read the blurb I would recommend not to read now (because It spoiled some fun for me). I won't say any more about the story because I can't avoid giving spoilers. But I can say if you like the first two books in the destiny series, you will like this one too.
I enjoyed reading the third book too, but I was anxious with Jaden and Kayla accepted their feelings and being together. It could be overhead and make the story annoying with unnecessary romance. After I began reading it, firstly it seems like this was the case but in a short time, it was balanced at an acceptable level.
For general, I like how Bronwyn Leroux added new characters to the story and how she takes her time to make connections with some events. I like new characters as much as the main characters and they have a side so the story can't happen better without them. If I should compare this book with the first two, it became fast read in a more short time (didn't need to wait until I read half of the story).
I would recommend anyone to read this series which has well-developed characters and world.
P.s. Doors of Destiny is not the last book. The next book in the series, Duel of Death, will be the last book - coming out in October/November. I can't wait to read Duel of Death too.

Better than the first one but not by much. I'm still hoping to get that spark to really make me fall in love with this series.

So enjoyed this book! Loved storyline, characters everything!! I could hardly put it down!! It was a very different genre than what I normally go for but I’m so glad I did.

I really had a hard time with the other books so was pleasantly surprised by this ending to the trilogy. I thought it was well executed and much more interesting than its predecessors. The authors writing improved and the story and timing felt more cohesive. I love time travel and thought this book was an excellent spin on the series.
