This book was very well written. Nice and easy to read and flowed well. Had me on the edge of my seat. Wondering which way it was going to go. Great mystery can’t beat it.

Good Little Liars by author Sarah Clutton is a great thrill of a book! It did not disappoint and overall I thoroughly enjoyed it and the characters (whether it’s the dislike or like, they were strong)!

Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I was looking forward to this book a lot. I enjoyed it but it was slow to get into for me. I liked the premise of the book and the different character POVs. Good book nonetheless.

Thank you Netgalley, the author and publisher for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I always enjoy a good mystery involving an all girls school with secrets and this one was no exception! Told from multiple points of view, it centers around Emma, her old classmates, and their families now and back then, twenty-five years ago. One of her classmates, Tessa, was killed shortly before graduating and it affected everyone - even now they live with the repercussions of that day. Officially an accident, those close to her believe it was anything but, and Emma in particular is determined to get to the truth. There is a twenty-five year reunion coming up and the mystery of Tessa's death is just the distraction that she needs.

She still works at the school, under the headmaster Mr. Brownley, who a much loved teacher to all the girls back then. Her marriage is deteriorating and she looks to her close friend Marlee for friendship and assistance with figuring out what happened to Tessa. Marlee has just started a new job and is growing ever closer to her boss, Ben. Ben is separated from his older wife, and his stepdaughter, Clementine is a famous artist who was a classmate of Emma, Marlee and Tessa. It's not her point of view that we see from that family, it's her mother, Harriet's. She also happens to be Mr. Brownley's sister. We get a slightly different picture from her, as a parent and not a classmate.

It may sound complicated with the different characters and their relationships, but it's not hard to follow. The women all have distinct, well-developed personalities although they are not without their faults. The story is a little slow at first, introducing the women and their current lives before delving in to the detail's of Tessa's death. It's necessary world-building and didn't stop me from quickly becoming engrossed in the story. It's rare that I can look back and recall just about every characters name well after finishing a book, but it shows how much of an impact this author's writing has. Stick with it and you will not be disappointed!

Good Little Liars had a great premise, but it just fell short for me. The book was slow and wasn't really a thriller. The characters are well developed.

Good Little Liars was an interesting read. Although it was categorized as a mystery/thriller, it didnt quite read as one. It had the feeling of two tangential storylines fighting for importance in a solitary novel. On the one hand, there was an interesting story centered around the relationships between characters and the dynamics at play. The storyline around who killed Tessa did not seem to hold as much importance or draw as much interest, in comparison.

The story itself was well-written and fun to read, though the end felt drawn out. The characters started losing a bit of their depth, which was unfortunate. I did appreciate the diversity in characters though. Although I was not a fan of many of the characters, they spanned a broad range of personalities, which was refreshing.

It is hard to rate this book, simply because it feels much like two books in one. It was a very interesting experience overall.

Good Little Liars is described as “A gripping, twisty novel about lies, loyalties, and the secrets we keep to protect those we love.”. After reading it I think the publisher may have confused their books! I wasn’t gripped, there’s a small twist but it’s not groundbreaking and overall I was bored reading this. I left the last ten percent because it was clear nothing was going to happen.

Unfortunately, I just couldn’t get into this book. The description indicated it was gripping, but sadly it just didn’t grab me. I also found the main character a bit over dramatic and the whole premise confusing. Sorry, this one just wasn’t for me.

“Good Little Liars” centers around an upcoming class reunion, and the secrets that have been held since the death of a classmate under mysterious circumstances. Unfortunately, the details of that mystery are revealed in excruciatingly slow fashion, while the story plods though the mundane current lives of those involved. The characters are confusingly intertwined and it was hard to keep track of who’s related to who, and how they figure into the story. It seemed a great premise, but it’s a slow read, and it just takes too long to get to gist of the story.
I was given this ARC by the publisher through @NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This is a remarkable literary novel by a new author who is here is stay. There is a mystery at the center of the story but the heart of the story revolves around four women, an past accident in school, and how their lives and histories are shaped by the incident in a myriad of ways. Clearly drawn characters so well written that I could see them in a story so well written that I never wanted to end,

A bit slow to start for me but overall a good read with well developed characters, not one of my most favourite reads but it is a well written book.

Thank you to Netgalley and Bookouture for giving me the opportunity to read this book.

This book wasn't what I expected at all. It started quite slowly with the death of Tessa Terrano only really coming into it about a third of the way in. However this didn't bother me at all. The characters were so vivid I was quite happy to read all about their lives and how they intersected, although that could be a little confusing.
That is not to say that I wasn't interested in finding out what had happened to Tessa. The flashbacks concerning each character and how involved in and affected by her death kept me reading well into the night. I loved the little plot twists and was not expecting the ending at all.
This is the first book I have read by this author but will be looking out for her work in the future.

Twenty-Five years after Emma had graduated and lost her friend Tessa, Emma realizes that there may be more to her friends death after she finds a photo of her friend that just may shed some light on the relationship she had with a teacher. Or was it covered up with lies? This book is a page turner and I highly recommend it.

It’s been a quarter of a century since Emma graduated from her all girl’s school and just as long since her best friend Tessa was killed. Now, after all this time, Emma finds herself back on campus, living in an old staff cottage after her marriage has ended. When she finds a photo of Tessa taken just before her murder, Emma is convinced her belief that her friend was involved with staffer, now headmaster Jon Brownley. Ashamed because she never gave voice to those suspicions after her friend’s death years ago, Emma sets out to find out once and for all who killed Tessa. Tense and surprising
